There's a similar word to presagers in french, "présage" which means omens so you were right (there might be other meanings in english though, idk). Anyway good vidéo though I was hoping for a more in-depth analysis as I had pretty much understood it as you explained it...

“Eloquence and dumb presagers” is the subject of that verb, so both are plural.
