Any time an old 2 stroke is saved from the scrap yard in the sky is a good day a specially one's that are no longer produced. Top job mate well done you. Love from England.
There is definitely the correct amount of love applied to the rebuild!!! And the RM125 looks better than new now for it. You definitely transformed it in a magnificent way Steve!! Great video 👍👍👍👍😎😎🤟🤟
Absolutely gorgeous restoration! The bike looks amazing and that swingarm polish was the best I’ve ever seen. I could’ve watched this all day. Well done! 👊
What a great looking rebuild!!! Im doing a 2002 rm at the moment and your 22 minute clip doesnt do justice to the hours that go i to these builds. Cheers mate.
you got a lot done with the dremel, i got through 2 dremel's on my IT 125 wheels and forks... a good tool but dont last long term .i do all my polishing on a bench polisher now. immaculate finish on your RM
Nice job, got a time saving tip for ya next time :) when you do my bike :) I have a tool that allows for mixing sand and water together for blasting that would probably cut that frame time in half, and whatever else you might use it on...if youre interested to know more about how it works let me know and ill go into greater detail.
Cleanest rm build ive seen in a min. Did hone or bored the cylinder before putting in the new piston? Asking bc im rebuilding my bike soon and was wondering if it is really that important
Bro I think you did a awesome job Just one thing I noticed. You need to swap the rear master screws with some flush mounted ones to stop ya boots potentially getting bound up while sending it🤘
LEGIT AF! I haven't watched many motorcycle rebuild videos, but this one is the best BY FAR! NICE WORK! How long did it take? How much do you have in it?
RM and KX brakes are a PITA to bleed. It's all in the lever adjustment. Make sure the lever/pedal, is right, they have to back off all the way, then It's no problem. I typically just go straight to back bleeding myself. I use a horse syringe with some silicon over flow hose to fit on the nipple. You can fit some 2010 to 2018 RMZ 250 braided lines if you want. Best money I've spent on my RM's was Lectron carby's.
Looks clean, luv the graphics choice, perfect! I did an 02 resto, but have an 06 now. If you end up putting your boys on that bike. I have an RMZ 250 rear sub frame converted to fit the RM. uses an RMZ 250 air box and plastics and a modified RM 125/RMZ 250 seat. It was too low for me (I'm 6/2"), but would be perfect for a kid transitioning from an 85 to a 125. Looks good with the RMZ front guards and number plate. Let me know of you're interested. Personally, I wouldn't let my kids ride that 125, It's as rare than rocking horse shit to find a clean RM125, and they're only going up in value. lol. Nice work!
Free Tip for a fellow Suzuki fan. Use Steelo steel wool soap pads on the alloy parts, it'll give them a semi polished look, and they'll blend in better with the polished swinger. Use the one's in the Yellow box, the Green box ones are SS and too harsh. Another Free Tip: I polish my spokes, or, clean the SS ones with Steelo's. Shiny spokes make a bike look new. When I sell a bike, I always just push it in front of the potential buyer, when you do, if the sun is out, the spokes sparkle when you move the bike, and they'll have the cash out before you stop moving it. Works EVERY time. If the buyer comes at night, use a spot light lol Take the wheels, brake rotors and rear sprocket off, use a bit of wet and dry sand paper to clean them, then hit them with the Steelo's, and they'll shine. You'll have sore fingers, but, you'll be "spoked" with how they look lol.
