The band is back to recording and touring after a short break so Dan and Travis are showing off the new material. Hear the two guitar players run through "I Would Kill Lie Die For You" on the EMGtv stage. Dan's guitar has the EMG 81X in the bridge and EMG 85X in the neck. People are saying the guitar work is boring.... God you don't need the most complicated guitar work for a song to be amazing. Or for any instrument for that matter, pop music makes millions off of a 4 chord structure that's repeated over and over; I think these guys pull it off better.
"This song is too easy, this isn't how I like them to play, this isn't hard" etc. Appreciate the music people. They don't need to cater to your exact preferences. They are a damn good band and have been for YEARS. Yeah it's not "The Curse", but it's good. I really despise people who judge songs on the difficulty to play it. Most of you probably don't even play an instrument. Music douchebags really piss me off.
Anyways, Atreyu. Keep up the good work. I'll be seeing you live in a couple months. I got my ticket. :D
Atreyu is a Lyrical band and for me the guitars work well with the drums and clean vocals... Love this band and btw my favorite genre is death metal.. im not a hater like most.. Long Live Atreyu

I like it. not great, but I do like it.
I was a huge Atreyu fan in high school, but they just went down hill from lead sails... This was the most passive playing I've ever seen from them, which is ironic considering it's to promote active pickups. Dan will still be one of my favorite guitarist though, when he's not playing power chords.

Surprised to see the like/dislike ratio at roughly the same numbers. I've got to give my thumbs UP because this is my #1 favorite song at the moment. Not shown in the video, but Saller is absolutely brutal and I was psyched to hear his kick drums make more of a presence on this whole album. 1200 watts and when this song comes up in rotation it gets AT LEAST THREE plays before I go to the next song.

This song might be okay-ish... But the guitar work is way too boring, sounds like something that total beginners would write. Regarding the song writing this is on a mainstream-pop level, and even for that it's rather simplistic.
+Monstexitus Simple riffs dont always make for boring music--I think its boring because its overly predictable, generic, and it lacks character, aside form a few bars.
But yeah, it seems like this was written for mainstream radio-play; which is rather pointless for modern music nowadays.
