    888 were only made in the Diesel for the MK5. The options are available on all VXR`s. Brakes are aftermarket and exhaust,

    I was lucky enough to find and buy one of the 1.6 turbo SRI's and came to it from a slightly modified mini - from what I've seen the 1.6t are relatively rare now and are the mapped down to the same spec Corsa VXR's. I've always wished I had the money a few years back to get a VXR, one thing I will say about the vauxhalls is their styling is so nice, for the price you pay, yes they tend to have a bad reputation but they can pass most other cars on the roads as standard.
    A few things I will say to anyone hoping to find themselves a vauxhall (not the VXR), they're pretty great cars when it comes to straight line speed, they're known for torque steering heavily and they handle like a boat, pretty poor in my opinion. Coming from my mini that thing was literally like a go kart, the vauxhalls from standard just don't handle well at all, interiors are cheap too - and the seats are woeful, any trip over an hour and my back aches (im in my 20s). I've always felt they looked better from the outside, they are practical though in their defence, ive taken my pretty much everywhere, camping etc. If you are buying one make sure you get one that's been looked after, their gearboxes are pretty much made of cheese and will no doubt go in your ownership if not already fixed. I think that's where the vauxhalls are massively let down parts can be relatively cheap - or used to be at least. Hoping to sell mine on soon once ive given it a clean up and had the gear box fixed, they're solid cars for someone that wants speed speed speed, however I'm hoping to get a Honda fn2, slower and less torque but so much more fun to drive, full of character and a real drivers car.
    Great video, agree with pretty much everything you've said about them ahah!

    Strongly considering this as a second car, other options are a Civic Fn2 or Ek, was also looking at S3s and M1s but the insurance on the last 2 as a 21 year old in London are 4k plus so gonna stick to the first 3 options rn. Vid was very informative thanks

    Someone has put the Remus exhaust on it from the Nurdburgring editions, not on there as standard

      It’s a 888 edition so it has a lot of extras as standard including the exhaust

    Have mine 8 months now and its been off the road for 1 because of all the repairs it needed. On the upside its too much fun to get rid of

    Why is your boost gauge dropping all the way down on idle and decel? Below 0 is your vacuum and should sit about 20hg

    • @jpkmotors4336
      @jpkmotors4336  2 года назад

      There should always be a vacuum at idle of -20-25psi and all the other VXR I have seen it’s the same, that’s how I knew I first had a boost leak as it was sitting at -5psi

      In that model the cup holders are behind the front seats which is odd

    Lol I don’t know why you’d skate the interior. The car is 16 years old bro … are you comparing it a more modern car 🤷🏾‍♂️… good exhaust you have there though.
    Also, police alwaaaaysssss look 😂 that’s true.

      The interior for me is not as nice as a let’s say Evo or Golf of the same year. But it does the job.
      Cheers the exhaust is still standard but thinking the cat needs to be removed.
      Right!!! But to be fair I do act like a clown when in the Astra so it’s deserved 😂
