Legendary keyboard! Even today the Extreme is up to par with the newest keyboards out there! Most of the sounds in it are equally good to the ones in today's keyboards. If you know your craft, you can make Grammy level hits even today with this amazing piece of technology! All you need is creativity!
Well, it's now Feb 2022 and I still have my Triton Extreme. I actually had a Yamaha MOXF and a Triton Extreme but sold them both at the same time. A week later I realized my mistake and bought another T Ex. The Yamaha was nice, but this korg is my baby.
Bless ya. I grew up with Triton Ex. Finally retired it for Kronos 2 and now awaiting the Kronos successor. It always will be a great board. Sure. It can't come close to the new flagships but for the price, even today it's gold. I still come back and listen to the original videos now and then. Even have the expansion Triton sounds on the Kronos itself lol. I wonder if they'll still be there on the board coming. Probably. And I'll get them again ha! Go Korg
I bought my Extreme 76 in 2004 and NEVER had a problem except the plastic ends broke. I just dremmeled off the plastic and built my own custom ends. Now in 2015,I am looking at Korg's new boards and there are many choices, but my Extreme seems to hold up to most of them.
@@xxxxneoxxxx Thanks Pedro. Working every weekend since 2014. The Triton Extreme 76 and my N264 76 with after touch is still holding up. There are Korg vintage boards now.
Hi Tristan, that was a mix of an Eb minor arpeggio, then "borrowed" the Am doodle from Bruce Hornsby's "The way it is".... sorry it took me so long to reply to your comment, I haven't seen this video for a long time.
I use to have the Triton ProX 88 & was very much into one main exp card. The main concern I have is, does Extreme have the Future Loop Construction exp set built in?
Can the Korg Triton Extreme be modified with a solid state internal hard drive? And if so, what is the internal hard drive GB limit to what the Korg Triton Extreme is compatible with?
Hey, can you post the steps I need to put my Triton LE back into multi mode so that I can get back to using it with digital Performer as a master controller to in=put midi data? You see I moved and had to disconnect it and the LE doesn't save that kind of stuff. Thanks and I can sure use some help here.
So does this mean that if you haven't transferred what you're working on to the compact flash card, you lose EVERYTHING the moment you turn off the machine? Please say it ain't so.
It's funny now how they say all this tube mumbo jumbo and you can just get a mpc live x or one and and sample keygroup these sounds add effects and be good in 2020 LOL.
The audio in this clip is in mono! WTF! Your playing is great but those guitar sounds can't compare to what Yamaha has been able to achieve in it's keyboards since the release of the Motif ES in 2003 with those phenomenal acoustic and electric guitar mega voices.
@@ErraticFaith not really, I own both. I like the tube feature plus I have the moss board installed on the extreme. The kronos is a beast but it does not have the moss engine. Plus the extreme booths up way faster.
You obviously have a very primitive understanding of electronic engineering. In which case, the discussion is rather pointless. I have conversed a fair amount with the Korg D&D so I am aware of its limitations. Kronos itself, is a decade old. More so if we are to gauge it by its components. Try joining the industry in a recent decade perhaps.

Fun fact: This is Tsumugi (from the anime "K-On!")'s keyboard.
That's Mugi's keyboard!!! It'd be awesome if she could do the presentation.. somehow...
MUGI RULES BABY!!!!
YEAH :D
Yes it is indeed!
Tsumugi's Keyboard :O

K-on! Mugi
It's the keyboard from the anime, K-On!
cjthenoisemaker I noticed that too! lol
Yes
Yes
For sure the ONE time in the ‘00’s that the word ‘Extreme’ meant something!
This is one of the better demonstrations I've seen for any product..... and I'm no novice. I've actually worked for music retail outlets. Good job.
very informative thanks
Mugi's keyboard :D
I think this may be my next keyboard :)
"Triton Extreme is the flagship workstation from Korg".
@cjthenoisemaker Mugi RULES !!!
I don't know why but I have one and I love it....

I've been coming to this video every year for 7 years just to hear that melody at 1:15! So amazing! Can someone tell me the name of that sample??

I want one of these and a m3.
can someone tell me the name of the piece he played at 1:20? sounds Amazing!
Reminds me of “That’s just the way it is”, by... Steve Winwood, was it?
@@janosKern1 Doug replied to an earlier comment that he ad-libbed an Em arpeggio and did sort of borrow pieces of Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is". :-)

I updated my korg triton, but after the update i lost the all the pianos sounds, what happen?

Why is the guy wearing a Marshall shirt instead of a Korg, seen as he is demonstrating a Korg??
Stuart Williams during that time marshall is also owned by korg
Cool

Where’s part 2?
hello, is there a possible to transport .sng/PCG files from a triton LE to a Extreme?
9 years later and sadly no one answered you and yet I have the same question! Did you find out if it’s possible?
if I could have any keyboard i would have this one
Heard this is easier to use than kronos. True?
Jan Martin Ulvåg yess very true
What is the best workstation these days?
How heavy is this thing?
And who the heck is Tsumugi?!?
14 kg
@kyuubikun85 * Internet High-Five * Me too !
Can anyone say what is the difference between triton extreme and triton classic?
Richland Productions - the additional sounds are from the MOSS board?
Yes, Triton extreme is Blue 😀
he dont show live how to switch from preset to preset why?
Doesn't he look like Jordan rudess at first glance
Yeh he does

Para que por vídeos explicativos ,em Ingles aqui no Brasil não adianta porra nenhuma,só dá pra ouvir os sons!!
at least he's not as annoying as jordan " korgwanker " rudess.......
funny how technology advances. this keyboard was flagship in 2003 (this video of course isn't from 2010) and nowdays sounds like crap!
Martin Sepulveda It still sounds as it did 2003, the crap is in the ear of the beholder.
Does it really sound like crap though?
Yes it does. Kronos smokes this to the point the Triton seems like a pathetic childs toy. Which is what it is.
