And it was such a joy to watch both of them (ASM and Diwas Gurung) live few months ago at highlander gharmai sessions. Personally, I hugely appreciate Diwas dai, his musicianship. One of the best musicians we have in Nepali Music fraternity.
Diwas Gurung dai is our national treasure. To learn that Robin and Looza's first album was one of his big influence is heartbreaking at this moment. And what surprised me is that there was no mention of the Beatles and how much they meant to Diwas dai..but thats ok i understand,not necessarily you remember on the spot. And Biswas is my favorite song of 2022 and even the last decade! And actually it was my dashain theme song last year ...just in my head.. 🙂❤️✌️

Thanks for bringing Diwas Gurung daaju, 'Ayeko Ma' is his masterpiece for me. The way he can play with the soundscape is amazing. I always wondered if he used an octave pedal during his Ayurveda days. Especially for that lick/riff with bends in Universal Mind. But, now, after watching him do special tuning for octaves, I'm confused if he used the tuning or an octave pedal. If you find this comment, I hope you pass it on to him. 😅 🍻
