you know what? I started my channel back in 2009. I just vlogged entirely for fun. Basically sharing my old family videos from my days 1988-2000. I did not get much attention for some time. Eventually the channel grew more over several years. But still posting videos strictly all as a hobby thing for me. I may not be as popular as someone with millions of views. But enough (over several years) to keep me inspired to want to continue.

I wish you the best… don’t give up and if you are ever looking for a great country with low cost of living I can vouch personally for Bangkok (after time in Vietnam and Malaysia). You can do it bruv. I'm going to start a YT channel at 38. I've never thought of it until now. We similar, Asian American dude, partied and danced a lot and no mentor. Got lucky working at a tech company as a tech making 70-87k a year. I'll find out if I get lay off next month hehe. Right now, I'm in research for a niche and my goal is to make 5k a month on YT and then 100k a month

@@RatherBeCancelledThanHandled No you are right. If many people disputes you, stripe screws you over. But what you try to do is have like a "Contact Me" button and be vigilient with refunding when asked.
@@donaldkhlee I hear you but I’m wondering even if you refund . If there are many refunds if that will flag your account . I’m also concerned about how accounts with high refund rates are perceived even if the refunds are processed quickly .
@@RatherBeCancelledThanHandled I don't know about that. I do know that disputes are negatives to the account and the dispute fee is usually more than the refund fee for merchant. Lots of refunds won't flag your account. Lots of disputes do I believe.

How do you deal with software pre sell if you get refunds and it potentially harms your stripe account dispute reputation ?
People usually ask for a refund. It's only when companies ignore it that a dispute happens. And early adopters are more understanding I feel.
