@@furbymations1159 You're kinda right. He wasn't the president of Disney, rather he was the CCO of Disney's animation department. However he felt like he deserved to be president, but that job belonged to a man named Frank Wells, but Michael Eisner (the Disney CEO) said to Katzenberg "If Frank's not around you'll get the job." Then wouldn't you know it Frank Wells died in helicopter crash. And rather than wait a while for everyone to properly say their goodbyes Katzenberg immediately jump at Eisner for the president job. No seriously he asked him about the job immediately after Frank's funeral. And so the two started to drift after, and add on top of that that the animators kinda thought Katzenberg was going to hard as their hands were literally cramping from holding their pencils so much, and that Roy E. Disney, Walt Disney's nephew and the one who hired Katzenberg in the first place, didn't like Katzenberg because of his ego, and thus Katzenberg left Disney in late 1994.

I used to suffer with issues like really bad depression and was a self harmer. It was really bad and when I listened to this song it inspired me to get the help I needed.
honestly, getting stressed over school, work, etc. remembering where you fit in heaven's eyes can help you realize "this is all meaningless compared to what I am really worth in heaven."
I often worry about the future, the fact that I am not rich, and the lack of progress I've made in life. Some days it makes me feel worthless. But after listening to this song i realize: I have a family that loves me, I have plenty of good food to eat, a place to sleep and be safe every night, and friends who actually care about me. I truly am wealthy beyond measure.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. What is purpose of gaining the material. It means nothing. God may bless you with things but to give back everything you can and see god use it to save lives and teach. That's worth more than anything. Ask God what you can do. Pray about it. Seek guidance and search for him. Life may not be easy but as his word promises you won't go without what you need. Joseph job and paul are a few examples.
What I love about this song, is that it doesn't matter what religion you are, the message stands. When you find yourself in the service of others, your true worth as a human being builds in worth. Its not about you telling others how great you are. Its about others wanting to do it for you. Be the change. Be the beauty. Empower others and promote love. This song is everything.
+paintmyheartout90 This Song is full of Biblical principles, and its Godly message is this- Through Heaven's Eyes "A single thread in a tapestry, though its color brightly shine, can never see its purpose in the pattern of the grand design. And the stone that sits up on the very top of the mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important than the stones that forms the base?" These lines convey this- We may not always see our importance in God's grand plan, but if we do our roles Hes given us happily and as best we can with His help, we'll advance God's grand plan and cause for everything anyway. Likewise, none of our roles in God's grand plan are any greater or more important than any of our Brethren's(Ephesians 2:10), and also we are all equally important to God as His Children, and as the Body and Bride of Christ, and none of us matter to Him more than any other person alive, lost or saved.(John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Isaiah 1:18) "So how can you see what your life is worth, or where your value lies? You can never see through the eyes of man. You must look at your life, look at your life through Heaven's eyes. So how do you measure the worth of a man? In wealth, or strength, or size? In how much he gained, or how much he gave? The answer will come, the answer will come him who tries to look at his life through Heaven's eyes. So how do you judge what a man is worth, by what he builds or buys? You can never see with your eyes on Earth. Look through Heaven's eyes, look at your life. Look at your life. Look at your life through Heaven's eyes." These lines from different points of the song convey this- Nothing Man sees, thinks, or says about us and our worth means anything, only what God says and thinks does. And to Him every human being was worth so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us so that we could be redeemed of sin and born-again into His Family to dwell with Him in Eternity. So we need only look to God and His Word always to know our true value and worth, and that of anyone else.(John 3:3,5,16, Ephesians 1:3-6, 11) "A lake of gold in the desert sand is less than a cool fresh spring." This part of this line conveys this- Salvation, Christ all-filling Spiritual waters, and the joy, pleasure, and love of God we receive through accepting Jesus as our Savior and Lord and serving Him in this life far outmatch any riches and pleasure we can have in this world, as do the riches we store in Heaven that will last after the current Creation is destroyed.(John 4:13-14, Matthew 6:19-21, Luke 12:33-34, Romans 8:22 and 2 Peter 3:10-18) "and to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy is greater than the richest king. If a man loses everything he owns, has he truly lost his worth, or is it the beginning of a new and brighter birth?" The last part of the line, and these others convey this- We were once lost sheep, until found by Christ, our King and Shepherd, who is greater than any other. By accepting Christ and giving up our previous life, we may lose everything we own in serving Him in this life, but we've truly only gained better since Eternity and its rewards will be worth it when we reach Heaven. In light of this, accepting Christ is not truly losing anything at all, but rather a new and brighter birth, into the Family of God.(Philippians 2:8-10, Revelation 5:12, Luke 15:4, 1 Peter 2:25, Matthew 16:24-28) "And that's why we share all we have with you, though there's little to be found." This line conveys this- In being Christ's servants, we should be sure to share all we can to help those in need as we witness to them and try to bring them to Christ, as God will provide us with all we need in this life to do His Will, and never will forsake us.(Galatians 6:9-10, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Luke 12:29-31, Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5) "When all you've got is nothing, there's a lot to go around." This line conveys this- Nobody, for lack of room in Him, is unable to get saved by accepting Christ since, with His perfect sacrifice, there's absolute room for all of humanity to get saved through faith in Him as their Savior and Lord, and as the Son of God who died for their sins and rose from the grave.(John 6:35-40, 1 Timothy 2:4, 1 John 4:15, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Romans 10:9) "No life can escape being blown about by the winds of change and chance, and though you'll never know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance. You must learn to join the dance" To finish the message, these lines conveys this- After we get saved, Satan and his followers will begin to throw all they can at us to make our life hard, but we must continue to serve Christ as best we can through prayer to and faith in Him, and do so in joy, knowing our faith is being tested, as we join our Brethren in the dance of life, wherein we honor God in everything. And anytime we feel down, we need only remember Heaven is worth anything we endure in this life and that God's eyes will watch over us until we are there.(2 Timothy 3:12, Matthew 10:22, 1 Peter 4:12-19, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, 1 Peter 1:6-7, James 1:2, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Psalms 121:8)

I love the movie and did ever since I was a child, you don't have to justify yourself why you do. I grew up in an atheistic family, but that doesn't mean I can't respect religious people, and this movie and what the people who made it went trough fascinates me: "they conferred with roughly 600 religious experts and its the only Exodus-inspired movie to get approval from the leaders of all 3 major religions that share this story" (Quoted from an article that I cannot find right now).
Heh, this movie is actually banned in a few Islamic countries. A lot of Muslims consider it blasphemous to depict one of the major prophets in art. I’m sure there are some more secular Muslims who love this movie, but really devout Muslims hate it.

This song connects with me alot as my father passed 3 years ago, when he sang songs he sounded exactly like this and I asked him to sing it for me one day while we were cleaning dishes in the kitchen when i had visited for dinner. He was amazing, he did a very good ''if i were a rich man'' from fiddler on the roof too. I miss him so much, but music like this makes me feel he is very much alive in my memories.
They will always live in our memories. I unfortunately have no recordings of my father speaking or singing and I deadly fear I will sooner or later end up forgetting what his voice sounded like. But hey... life goes on.
This woke me up to how Christianity is meant to be. A way of living for each other. Not "I think I am right and therefore people should do my will because I am wise and prideful." Went from a raised christian to a satanist to a wiccan. The grass is never greener until you realize its all a lie. All a ruse by the forces of darkness to make you think its more complicated and concrete than it really is. God want's his praise which is why he made man, but God sent his son who was also part man to show us a leader who lead by example. Jesus is the way because he is the example. Living live as a humble servant of others, never growing prideful, and always willing to help and seek out those in need of help. There were people who did good things in the religions I swore myself into, but none of them are lasting because they are an institution, and median of control. Christianity has been warped by the evil in this world and it's selfishness to push people away from it, and to divide believers. Live your life not thinking you know better than your peers, and do not live it trying to push them into believing it. Lead by example. Be a friend, a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand, a ear, a mouth to speak good things to those afflicted by negative things. Follow the example we have been given, and you will see things in your life start to change for the better, and the world around you as well. The world of man is a world built on the self, but the world of god is a world built around the selfless. The indulgence of the self cannot last nor should it for this is why many of the problems in our world persist so constantly. Be humble, be selfless, and seek out those in need. There are so many. Even I am somewhat broken lol, but I love to help others. When you do, you will see things about people change, and good things will start to come to them as well as you. Rejoice because this means you have done well, but also prepare for the storms that life will send back at you again. If you are the man with a house on a rock, and see others drowning in the storm, offer them a place in your house, and help to aid them.
i think you'd make a great friend, because it's not about how broken you are, but how willing you are to meet the other person where they are. I do hope and support you to continue helping others, and thank you for your clarity
This is truly a divine truth that you speak! Thank God for your wisdom! Let no one say you're not worthy of salvation, only God is in position to do that! We are only here to serve each other! I pray your wisdom must grow! God Bless you brother/sister!
"No life can escape being blown about by the winds of change and chance, and though you never know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance." One of the deepest, most fundamental truths to living a life worth living.

This song is honestly my favorite from this movie. The movie itself reminds me why I believe in God, but this song and movie could be a reminder for anyone and everyone no matter who you are or what you believe, to simply have faith and to trust that you'll get there when you get there. Hard to believe the soundtrack wasn't nominated for anything, such a hidden gem. But it's always the underrated movies that teach us the best lessons in life!
This song is one of the most joyful and upbeat song I have probably ever heard in a movie. It’s also got such a good and important message. But I’ve had those people singing in my head rent free since I first saw this movie about 12is years ago. Every once in a while I’ll just randomly start singing their chorus 😂
I never noticed this till now, but at 1:40, the song starts referencing some Bible stories. "To one lost sheep" is a reference to The Parable of the Lost Sheep and "If a man looses everything he owns" is a reference to the story of Job.
The beautiful message in this song is no matter what religion or background you are that we all hit what's called life tribulations and trials and sometimes what we think is the end of something is the beginning of a greater blessing or calling! I absolutely love this song and can't stop playing it
God sees us differently as the world sees us, God sees us as his as we are loved by him he made us fearfully an wonderfully made he made all things he is our creator! he loves us so! He is everything the meaning of life is God he made all thins he gave us life he sent his son Jesus to die to save us he is our God our only savior the only one who can save us❤
This is yet another one of my top favorite songs from this outstanding movie, the lyrics fill me with such joy that I can never help but try to see my life the way God sees it. This song also reminds me so much of my mom and how much she too loved to sing along to this song and all other songs from this film every time she heard them, thanks to her I gladly do the same thing and so does my sister. It's my dream to help others to turn to God so they too can see their lives through eyes of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and I will make my mom proud by making that dream come true with God leading me and my family along the way. @@DarkSpino306 thank you so much for telling me that! Injust got done watching it, and i agree it is a masterpiece. It's animation and music is great, and it deals with a nice mixture of mature and innocent themes.
I haven’t seen this film for 15 years at least, but I can still see the images in my mind when the song kicks in. And also, this sh*t hits so differently as an adult.
This song (and, in fact, the whole movie) has a universal message about the power of self-worth and respect that everyone in our society today could take something from.
So much power behind one song. I always listen to this on the way to work and I always get goosebumps and my heart always feels so full sometimes I cry on my way to work while listening to this but also I feel like God's like right there and it's weird but it's amazing
You know, there's something to be said for how this story was presented. There is honor in humility, and no shame in choosing a life of hard work over luxery. I think somewhere in our modern age, we've lost that knowledge. (I say while sitting behind a computer screen) No matter your faith, world view, ect. I think that's an important lesson. This is one of those movies I would share with my kids without hesitation, despite the fact that it's an animated story from the bible.
This might be cringey to share, but I needed to hear this song. I haven't heard it in years. It's been well over 10 years and it randomly came to mind and I decided to searched for it. I've been so caught up in my issues of self worth, and spending thousands of dollars on clothing and accessories trying to help myself feel better. None of it has worked, the dopamine is short and temporary. It doesn't matter how much money I spend, or how many likes or attention I would get on my social media. I always feel worthless. Hearing this song, although it hasn't magically fixed my issues, it has bought some comfort and relief. A new perspective to remember when moving forward. I'm glad I decided to listen to this again, I'll be adding it to my Disney playlist.

True greatness is found in serving others. True riches, is found in helping others. True heroism is found in denying yourself in favor of others. This song hits every single one of those notes in a historical, relatable and spiritual context. We have "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Who You really Are" and a barely thought of truth that a more realistic mirror isn't always a harsher one. Sometimes we need a POSITIVE reality check on ourselves.
God is good. Do not weigh your life’s worth by the worlds standards, but heavens. Do what the Lord asks of you and your life is worth more than the most precious gem
So cool that in the movie this song scores Moses and Zipporah's courtship/wedding and the opening instrumental throws a bunch of chord progressions from the Hava Nagila (a wedding song) in there. You can really tell how much care and attention went even into the little details.
This is a beautiful song with a powerful message no matter where you come from and it's very emotionally uplifting and joyful. The Lord's Music and Moses's Song. 😇📿💒🌹🙂

Its not about you telling others how great you are. Its about others wanting to do it for you. Be the change. Be the beauty. Empower others and promote love. This song is everything.
+paintmyheartout90 This Song is full of Biblical principles, and its Godly message is this-
Through Heaven's Eyes
"A single thread in a tapestry, though its color brightly shine, can never see its purpose in the pattern of the grand design. And the stone that sits up on the very top of the mountain's mighty face, does it think it's more important
than the stones that forms the base?" These lines convey this- We may not always see our importance in God's grand plan, but if we do our roles Hes given us happily and as best we can with His help, we'll advance God's grand plan and cause for everything anyway. Likewise, none of our roles in God's grand plan are any greater or more important than any of our Brethren's(Ephesians 2:10), and also we are all equally important to God as His Children, and as the Body and Bride of Christ, and none of us matter to Him more than any other person alive, lost or saved.(John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Isaiah 1:18)
"So how can you see what your life is worth, or where your value lies? So we need only look to God and His Word always to know our true value and worth, and that of anyone else.(John 3:3,5,16, Ephesians 1:3-6, 11)
"A lake of gold in the desert sand is less than a cool fresh spring." This part of this line conveys this- Salvation, Christ all-filling Spiritual waters, and the joy, pleasure, and love of God we receive through accepting Jesus as our Savior and Lord and serving Him in this life far outmatch any riches and pleasure we can have in this world, as do the riches we store in Heaven that will last after the current Creation is destroyed.(John 4:13-14, Matthew 6:19-21, Luke 12:33-34, Romans 8:22 and 2 Peter 3:10-18) "and to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy is greater than the richest king. In light of this, accepting Christ is not truly losing anything at all, but rather a new and brighter birth, into the Family of God.(Philippians 2:8-10, Revelation 5:12, Luke 15:4, 1 Peter 2:25, Matthew 16:24-28)
"And that's why we share all we have with you, though there's little to be found." This line conveys this- In being Christ's servants, we should be sure to share all we can to help those in need as we witness to them and try to bring them to Christ, as God will provide us with all we need in this life to do His Will, and never will forsake us.(Galatians 6:9-10, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Luke 12:29-31, Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5) "When all you've got is nothing, there's a lot to go around." This line conveys this- Nobody, for lack of room in Him, is unable to get saved by accepting Christ since, with His perfect sacrifice, there's absolute room for all of humanity to get saved through faith in Him as their Savior and Lord, and as the Son of God who died for their sins and rose from the grave.(John 6:35-40, 1 Timothy 2:4, 1 John 4:15, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Romans 10:9) "No life can escape being blown about by the winds of change and chance, and though you'll never know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance.
😇💙❤💛

I'm an atheist, but damn this movie is so powerful in animation and soundtrack that I am a sucker for it
+Junkie Bee Why do I feel like all these atheist confessions are like some Christian on pornhub commenting "Holy fuck I'm a bible thumpin jesus lovin man but this lesbian action is hot!"
Its a good movie with an excellent story, so I don't get what the problem is :P.
To be fair, I have seen the exact comment on pornhub
Junkie Bee Right? I’m not especially religious, but man, I can’t watch it once without getting emotional about how beautiful it is.
I know this comment is four years old but perhaps your love of the music and movie itself is God calling you back to him. At the end of the day it's your choice what you believe of course, but maybe this is a sign to have a more open mind when it comes to faith.

It doesn't matter if you're spiritual, religious, an atheist or anything from the list - this song is just really uplifting and motivating. The song promotes love and communication between people.
I'm from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints (Mormon) and this movie made my whole family tear up from how beautiful it was.
The music is something that made me enjoy this movie from a fantastic perspective, and when I was going through some tough times, this song reminded me about the worth of a man

I FOUND THIS LINE SO FUNNY FOR NO REASON😭
This song connects with me alot as my father passed 3 years ago, when he sang songs he sounded exactly like this and I asked him to sing it for me one day while we were cleaning dishes in the kitchen when i had visited for dinner. He was amazing, he did a very good ''if i were a rich man'' from fiddler on the roof too. I miss him so much, but music like this makes me feel he is very much alive in my memories.
Im sorry for your loss. But it's good that you remember the good things😌
They will always live in our memories. I unfortunately have no recordings of my father speaking or singing and I deadly fear I will sooner or later end up forgetting what his voice sounded like. But hey... life goes on.
im sorry for loss. i will make sure to sing this to my kids.
Thats beautiful
My deepest condolences. May your father rest happily in peace. He sounded like a wonderful man.
Bruh this needs more likes.
Bless you. I hope more people can see this because it is true.

"No life can escape being blown about by the winds of change and chance, and though you never know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance." One of the deepest, most fundamental truths to living a life worth living.

Growing up, this was one of my favourite films and even in adulthood, it remains as one of my favourite animated films. What a masterpiece, in every conceivable way.
I've grown to respect this movie more as an adult
I love the lyrics "even if you don't know all the steps, you must learn to join the dance." I think you can apply this to life in general. Be brave, don't be afraid to try something new!
"if a man loses everything he owns, has he truly lost His worth?" Or is it the beginning, of a new and brighter Birth??" great line
This will be the song I will dance to at my wedding :D

This song has literally saved me when I’m in a depressive episode. It means so much to me
I never noticed this till now, but at 1:40, the song starts referencing some Bible stories. "To one lost sheep" is a reference to The Parable of the Lost Sheep and "If a man looses everything he owns" is a reference to the story of Job.
When all you have is nothing, there's a lot to go around!
It doesn't matter if you enjoy this movie when you're an atheist. You can enjoy a well animated movie no matter what you believe.
And yet, there is so much more to feel as a son of Abraham
I'm Catholic but i respect just as a movie alone
This song is so life affirming. Embrace what you have, love who you're with. You deserve happiness, because you're worth it.
“So how do you measure the worth of a man? In wealth or strength and size? And how much he gained or how much he gave?” So powerful.
Who's still here in 2024? :3. This movie is _still_ such an overlooked _masterpiece,_ IMO. :3.
The beautiful message in this song is no matter what religion or background you are that we all hit what's called life tribulations and trials and sometimes what we think is the end of something is the beginning of a greater blessing or calling! I absolutely love this song and can't stop playing it
This song reminds me so much of Edmund Pevensie! It would make a great fan video for him, especially with Aslan as Jethro! Anyone else?
I didn't expect someone to be advocating for the Narnia fandom's black sheep in 2020 but you KNOW WHAT? IT ABSOLUTELY WOULD. You should make it!

Try to look at your life through Heaven's eyes and not through the eyes of men, I do every single day!😉😉😉❤❤❤😀😀😀💖💖💖😃😃😃💗💗💗😄😄😄

It's not a Disney song though.
I need someone to sing this song personalized for my life.

So cool that in the movie this song scores Moses and Zipporah's courtship/wedding and the opening instrumental throws a bunch of chord progressions from the Hava Nagila (a wedding song) in there. You can really tell how much care and attention went even into the little details.
Seriously how could Disney shelve this movie and not give it the green light.
I am brought to tears EVERY time I listen to this song.
I flipping love this song. And its 2018 rn
Stephen Schwartz just adapted it into a stage musical, so there’s something for you to be really happy about!
I still love it in 2022
Not only does this song have a beautiful message, that both religious and atheists can enjoy, but it also slaps super hard.
This is a beautiful song with a powerful message no matter where you come from and it's very emotionally uplifting and joyful. The Lord's Music and Moses's Song. 😇📿💒🌹🙂
2021 gang.
More movies should be made like these. Nowadays its all about making money. This was a underrated masterpiece!
I’m not a religious person at all. But I still like this song.
Love this soundtrack, but this song is without a doubt my favorite!
