      @@MaxRichMusic Max, I really appreciate your engagement in this discussion. I'm mostly a self taught guitarists closing my 5th year of practice. Have a bunch of music theory knowledge but of course, there is still more to learn. What I like about your videos is actually the way you think and see things. There are plenty of great youtubers who explain it very well but as we all are different, not all gaps can be covered. Guitar is a personalized experience and all the input we hear and see about it is mostly filtered and processed by our own capabilities and brain. And only after we can apply the outcome to our own needs, upgrading the skill and start seeing things more clear. Or better said, connecting the dots. The interesting part is that your videos cover some gaps I was having for quite some time but couldn't find a solution for them. No one else on youtube could do it for me so I'm really happy I found your channel! Speaking of newsletter, I found some very interesting articles and will deep dive into them during the following days. However, if I were to make a request, do you think you can write about your personal view on how do you hear intervals and chords? You already have an article about intervals but it's mostly based on music theory. I am curious to understand how do you visualize the improvisation part using intervals and what feelings do they create in your case. Any tips and tricks here? How do you like to apply tension and release? Also, if it's possible to make another article but most probably similar to this one about chord functions, that would be great :) In case your already covered these topics, just let me know and I'll check your website. Many thanks again!!!

    I've watched dozens of videos on barre chords, but this is the first one that mentions moving the thumb. This takes me from almost there, to all the way. Thanks. I'll check out your other vids soon

    Any exercise on how to do hammer ons or pull offs ,while keeping the Barr chord the sound doesn’t come out strong enough when I do it , really enjoy your lessons very well explained and very technical,thanks

      Thank you! That's a pretty specific topic and there could be multiple reasons why you're having trouble with it. I can't, in good conscience, just recommend a standard exercise for it if I don't know exactly what the problem is. Feel free to email me and we can discuss it more.

    I still ended up bending my wrist down, how can I change this?

    • @MaxRichMusic
      @MaxRichMusic  11 месяцев назад

      There could be several things going on. It's possible you have the guitar too low and you have to bend the wrist in order to do it...it's also possible that you're doing the barre chord incorrectly. It's hard to say without seeing it, but I'm happy to take a look and let you know if you want to send me a pic/video via email... maxrichmusic.com/contact
