Fixed my 34U87M-B by putting my multimeter on resistance (ohms sign) and alternating between SC# and SCLK for a few seconds each one. Lit up and I was a then able to factory reset it and it's staying on. Last LG monitor I will buy, they have so many models that suffer from this same issue and it only takes a power loss to cause it.
My LG monitor started getting into a hissing loop and at first I disconnected data cable until it reduced hiss sounds then connected, but after a while even that started not working. I was at my wit's end and brought monitor back to a computer repair shop, they said they didn't repair monitors and I decided to buy a new monitor and toss the one I had to the guy for free, because I didn't feel like dealing. When I was about to get out, the guy wanted to try my monitor on their system with their power adapter, only thing that adapter matches with mine is the power entrance, its voltage and amper is higher than mine. It's a laptop adapter, but it worked like magic. TLDR; if you're having hissing problems, which is what brought me to these kind of videos, try it with a brand new power adapter. Instead of 150ish € for a new asus 24-25 " monitor, I paid 20 € for a new adapter. Currently it works great, but if this fails too, I'm throwing this monitor in the garbage and never buying LG anything again.
Hey, sorry I don't really check comments or get notifications. I don't see why this would not work with another monitor given it has a similar layout. I just cannot say for certain since almost every monitor we have is the same, so there's no real variation when one goes out and we need to repair it.
My led lights turn on in the back but the screen is completely black I un plugged it and plugged it back in but the only thing that lights up any suggestions?

Did the monitor previous have an issue with powering on or with the screen? This is mainly for those that won’t power on
