Don't see many fishing videos in the manukau. Awesome footage again! Me and the old man use to clean up in the shallows only a few years back

Yeah not alot really. Alot of people struggle fishing in the Manukau, but theres some good fishing to be had if you can suss it out. What area did you used to fish there?

have you tried drifting around mako point with livies or jigs? I've found alot of structure there as we've nearly lost a could anchors there, so should hold kings.

No I havent but i'm sure kings will cruise past there. The problem with mako point is that it's usually always dirty brown water, kingfish tend to like clearer water and they can see your bait easier. Might be worth a try though

GC Jetski Fishing totally understandable, but saying that I've seen a 8-9kg king get caught half way down the channel towards waiuku (from the #1 green marker). Definitely worth a shot for you as you go straight past mako point when you leave the channel.
also another area worth trying is between "lady bell point" and "puponga point" which is just around the corner of Cornwallis

Yep I know a guy who has been catching kingfish near Matakawau a few times in the past week, and no doubt they go right up into the estuaries in the backs of the harbour too, but these spots generally require more patience and you might be waiting all day for only 1 fish, I prefer a more active approach haha. The Puponga point area looks good too, big currents through there! Definately plenty to explore in this harbour

100% holds kingis, just as the tide turns to out going
