BIOGRAPHY
Shimza is a totem figure in south Atrica's musIc scene and a house music leader in Atrica. Atter making worldwide waves with releases on Cadenza Records and Knee Deep in sound, shimza launched KUNYt (meaning together) in November 2020, an imprint that connects south Atricas emerging talent to the global stage. With KUNYE's weekly livestream sessions, during lockdown, Shimza created a movement for AfroTech, uniting people through their love of music.
Shimza's musicality fuelled by the encouragement of his ever-supportive family can be traced back to the tender age of fifteen. In 2009, he launched his philanthropic One Man Show (OMS) to raise funds for underprivileged children. OMS now hosts over 25,000 people every year supported by South Africa's highest profile artists,
including: Black Cottee, AKA and Black Motion. OMS has also been seen by turopean audiences in Portugal, Spain and France. Making history on Nelson Mandela Day ZUZU, ShImza became the tirst artist to pertorm on world Heritage site Robben Island, where tormer SA President and Nobel Peace Laureate Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Raising money for a number of foundations, the livestream fused music and culture to engage and educate audiences around the globe. Shimza's technical prowess demonstrates an outstanding ability to seamlessly cut, loop and fuse across genres and styles, leaving dancefloors in awe. His explosive
pertormances at Boiler Room ohannesburg and RESISTANCE cape lown, remained memorable long atter the tact, he has enchanted audiences in cities on almost every continent: New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester and Sicily. Catching the attention of RUMORS label boss Guy Gerber, he found himself debut in Ibiza at Destino's Closing Party alongside Luciano in 2016. Leaving a lasting impression on Gerber and the White Isle, he has been invited back to Destino's decks four more times and named rising star by Ibiza music and party authority, Essential Ibiza.
Shimza's back catalogue includes a full length album: "Shimuzic", as well as a long list of collaborations and singles; from "wrongo" with Prince Kaybee, Black Motion and Ami Faku, to the "Eminence" EP on Cadenza and his "Kings And Queens" EP on Knee Deep In Sound. His "Kimberley" EP on Cadenza received an official remix
trom label head Luciano. Kunye, his imprint's Inaugural release came out tiring with "Calling Out Your Name" rt. Mikhaela Faye. Fast forward to ZU22, KUNYE has had legend and Masters at Work boss Louie Vega, and Berlin-based "Afro Futurist" Floyd Lavine released on the imprint, remixers on Shimza's lockdown-inspired release,
"Fight To Love" Ft. Maleh, the most significant and high-profile release to-date continuing to push the label's mission and sound into the eyes and ears of the global scene.

I had always wanted to play as he do so I copied some of his mixes from 2020 until now and I have mastered it. The issue now is that I used to play for people who are not used to go to parties so they don't know those song.
