@@uilianfelipe3971 Pois é meu amigo, somos fãs do Maestro Joan Chamorro. Ele toca Jazz e Bossa Nova. VIVA BARCELONA ! e VIVA ESPAÑA, aqui desde Brasil.

I understand of course that Catalan is the language spoken at the festival but as your audiences are becoming more international could there possibly be some English summaries to help us appreciate what is said and get the most out of the event, especially the educational day?

Much respect Maestro Chamorro. I think it is fantastic you feature jazz violin in the St. Andreu band. It is an instrument with great potential. Grapelli's influence on jazz violin is really strong but I think there is a lot of potential for the instrument that I have not heard that is beyond what Grapelli has done.

Maestro Chamorro speaks about a project "inside" their tours: Let all interested people to be with the band during the rehearsal sessions, so they can feel, hear, participate in the creative part and ask directly about each one experience, from their beginnings... The "Chamorro" learning system (singing note by note by heart); the special guests (great musicians touring the world); the interaction between students and professionals. And similar projects in other countries, built on the "Sant Andreu" model.

This probably wont interest too many people, but in Ayurvedic typology of the Dosha, its Pitta dosha which give folk the fire or drive to do what this man does, but its the Kapha dosha, (the expression of the qualities of water and earth in a person) that creates people that can create, organize, mold, and drive forward while remaining loving, sweet, kind hearted, and not dictatorial and abusive (Think religious and political leaders with extremist pasts from Rev. Jim Jones to Joe Stalin).
You can see the mixture of the two in Usted Chamorro-san, with his intense eyebrows
(no one with Vata Pitta or Vata-Kapha has such eyebrows, and you will be shocked if you start noticing the number of intense leaders from Trump to Stalin with thick heavy eyebrows, regardless of ethnicity)
but then those giant warm water eyes, full of empathy and love of music and children, as well as the ready smile.
If you look at his physique, and see those thick expressive fingers, strong, not delicado, but also not obtuse, he is thick, but not built like a lineman in American football, actually you see in his physique, if i may, a nearly Tridoshic quality, a certain lightness and space and refinement associated with Vata dosha (wind and space, or ether) melded with the vigor of Pitta-fire and the stability of Kapha (water and earth) henc you understand why he plays such a melodic bass, but not violin like heifitz, ; why baritone and tenor sax, played with finesse and melody, but still not picolo or even alto/soprano...
(not that he couldnt, its about tendencies, that to some degree can be overriden by will, but the tendencies remain. Like the story of the scorpian who stung the frog, when asked why, he replied, because i am a scorpion....and its true, you can see video of Ostad Chamorro playing cornet, like trumpet and violen, a firy instrument that attracts the bold firey types, as does violin....if primaballerina's were to chose, they would often take violin or trumpet, in my subjective opinion.
For the same factor you could observe trombonist Rita Payes, who is everything, but not flamboyant. Even when you watch her dance during a song with the other singers, she, also a Kapha body type, literally moves less, but has the rhythm, has a deeper voice soulful like the depths of the ocean....for me she is more water and earth, her singing makes me cry in a way the other singers of her peer group don't usually......its the watery and earthy depth that gets me in her Lagrima fado, e.g.........its not science, its the art of premodern medicine, looking at tendencies and characteristics, that when balanced give you All the Things you Are, and when unbalanced makes you, and in the case of Pitta-fire, (think, again religious and political fanatics from Loyala and Torquemada to Osama bin Trump and Pol Pot) the people around you sick. #Ayurveda #Pitta #Kapha

About calls for English language sub-titles for SAJB video interviews with Joan and others (Èlia Bastida in this case) ... As a film and TV producer with substantial experience of 're-versioning' videos in foreign languages, I think I can say with some authority that it's a bit of a minefield. First, who owns the video in question? In this case it seems to be 'Gaudi-U-Música' so legally, it can't be changed in any way without their permission. Inserting sub-titles that they haven't approved would be regarded as a breach of their copyright and Joan Chamorro, who is the registered owner of this RUclips channel, would be liable. Second, as I'm sure many people don't realise, translating is not a simple matter of substituting one English word for one in Spanish or Catalan. It's a skilled job requiring a deep understanding of both languages and the subject-matter, particularly if it's technical (example: music). Artificial Intelligence is not yet up to the job. Just try to auto-translate speech audio live through Google Translate on this 'Jazz Education Stage & Jazzing Festival' video and despair at the barely intelligible mess it makes! [see: ruclips.net/video/tsKzzT7lb3o/видео.html for an instructional video about how to do this] However, the good news is that, once the copyright issues have been solved, technically it's not that difficult for the youtube channel owner to install subtitles in English or multiple languages. You produce a translated text with time codes to indicate where each line starts and finishes ... bearing in mind that a sentence in Catalan may translate into more or less words of English on-screen. Joan Chomorro or his web manager uploads the file to this site and 'English' appears as an option in the sub-titles. Realistically, for a RUclips site as extensive and dynamic as this one, it's a full-time job for an expert linguist. R (Australia)
