Yeah It was awkward for me to crochet with the furls hook, well I started with the 4.00mm and I felt like I had to twist with my fingers instead of turning my wrist. But as the day went on it got easier then I could ocheted with their 5.00 and the 5 was easier to crochet with. And I think its because its so long and thin the furls. But Ive never used an Ophire. With the furls try and twist with your fingers when you crochet through the stitch because if you rely only on your wrist it will split the yarn.
I like shorter hooks, I just got furls hooks and it was different and a tad bit difficult the first couple hours ya know working with the furls hooks. Their beautiful but long.

I think the narrower, shorter handle would be better for me... 'll have to try one!
