Bank themselves share data with third party for loan calls. I opened an account in Axis bank and started getting calls kn Axis bank behalf after 10-15 days.
Day 1 I got call from axis Bank nexus companies take weighting machine...take this take that 😂 even 5 GST filing freelancer called me😂 data number source Axis Bank....😎
Aadhaar was a scam itself. If the Govt suddenly gets up one day and says its not an identity proof nor is it residential proof then why did we get it in the first place?
Yes. On Sunday afternoon, after a sumptuous lunch, I went to sleep. Within 15 mins I got a call from bajaj finance offering od facilities. Now my every thought about bajaj involves a brick
Private banks don't do that. That work is outsourced to agencies and call centres. The same call center mis-uses your information to spam and scam you in the night using your data.
Just ban selling bulk sims and make 2 sims per Aadhar the limit and 1 year lockin time before you can get new number and also block all sims that are reported 100 times spam, in less then 2 months all spam calls will drop to zero, no one will have guts to use private numbers as spam calling numers. Leadership in this country is very poor, this guy is going on about how fake scammers are outside India but I only get calls from inside of India.
i stopped using credit cards and raised a RBI Ombudsman to file a complaint against a bank that had called 5 times in a day... after that in a week the calls have stopped.
This "expert" is living in the cretaceous. The problem is not of jurisdiction. The problem is of privacy laws and KYC laws and enforcement. For instance, if an aadhar that is linked to a confirmed spam complaint is blacklisted, the problem can be minimized. Secondly, AI is being used by many operators to warn users about spam calls and this is working well not sure why this man is saying this is confusing users no one is confused the spam call identificationworks nearly 100 pc of the time. VoIP calls are only a small part of the issue..most spam calls are emerging from India itself. Lastly, institutions whose products are sold by spammers and/or robocalls should be penalized heavily and not allowed network access for a period of time. PS: Uncle has not heard of VPN in case of internet.
the guest on the show is in all probability a paid propagandist for the ruling party, hence the line taken is: calls emanating from outside country. fact is all these 4th fail types won't be able to do much, except for bossing around like local dadas.
They're coming from 140 numbers. Why is it hard to block 140? They are almost entirely "loan" calls. Some people have so much money that they are living loans only. Most people don't have money. This is the reality of India's progress
I have blocked all spam calls since 3 years and I don't pick calls from unknown number. Simple. If they really want to reach you. They will whatsapp or msg.
Basically, linking phone numbers to financial transactions where bank accounts are exposed to the public domain should be avoided totally. Major spam calls, messages, etc.. are for committing financial cyber crimes.
Because if you go buy anything be it a mall or a retail shop they ask your number. We need strict data protection law in India and all these companies who are collecting data solid be penalised heavily.
Giving your number is your independent choice. Just refuse to give your number & most shops will still let you make the purchase. If they dont just go to some other shop.
All the unknown calls can be blocked in Samsung and iphones. Most of the time all the unknown calls are not relevant until unless you are expecting any calls from delivery partners, job providers etc..
Welcome to impossible India where maintaining roads is impossible, building footpaths is impossible, having sincere govt employees is impossible, paying people a livable wage is impossible, following road rules is impossible, properly disposing waste is impossible, breathing in clean air is impossible, having clean rivers is impossible. The list is long and quite frankly shameful and depressing.
The solution is simple. Mobile phone makers should be required to include Spam options for incoming calls. This should be passed on to the carriers to block the numbers after verification. Why would carriers kill a revenue stream?
Yes, to keep out of spam I don't answer unknown call. But sometimes people known to us call from other numbers due to some reason, I miss them. And these courier delivery man call and for me it's a unknown number. I have been telling their customers service to provide me the phone number of the delivery boy before delivery, but it doesn't happen. Speed post no problem.
I thank apple for showing me suspected spam under calls. Soon we will turn into uk where when it comes to call etiquette, you can’t reach anyone by call, only email or maybe a chat can work
way to control: silence all the calls from unknown numbers. encourage people to use voice mails or drop sms or whatsapp message. so if a genuine call remain unanswered, by seeing transcript of voice mail, call back can be made.
Because our great government is too ignorant about the issue I guess. No real spending on advertisement or educating the users I think. The issue has to be taken with utmost seriousness like these people did in late 90s to educate about polio! But no-one has raised the issue in discussions. Otherwise someday, lives will be lost due to digital arrests.
not true, it is quite easy to control. just block the company's PAN on whose name the number is registered. how is whatsapp able to control spam then? why don't we receive spam calls on whatsapp.
TRAI Should collect 1000Rs deposit for every mobile number and on reporting SPAM 2Rs should get to the reporter and 3RS to TRAI and once the balance reaches 0 you can't make calls. But you can recive calls that way spam calls are not free.
Just curious: Do important people like Adanis, Ambanis, Mallyas, Mahindras, scholars, MLAs, MPs etc. also receive such calls? Perhaps they do but they have secretaries to help.
We can't control government departments not to send spam calls or maseages to public sir ex.I.T ,POSTAL departments messages and emails as spam calls sir
Either this guy is a duffer or does not understand English. The question being asked is how to save people from these spams and he is replying how to empower people to not get into fraud.

Same same
Linking aadhar to everything did opened several cans full of unwanted worms.
so true
this is the biggest scam.
Linking aadhar is far more secure as compared to User data being sold/ shared by Gogl, FB, Game apps & such
Aadhaar was a scam itself. If the Govt suddenly gets up one day and says its not an identity proof nor is it residential proof then why did we get it in the first place?
Most of the marketing product who initiate the calls should be punished... HDFC, BAJAJ FINANCE are always the culprit
Yes. On Sunday afternoon, after a sumptuous lunch, I went to sleep. Within 15 mins I got a call from bajaj finance offering od facilities. Now my every thought about bajaj involves a brick
Very true
Because the Indian judicial system doesn't work and youth unemployment is high and govt couldn't care less
You go to Pakistan n enjoy
Spam calls are coming from private Bank employees to market crefitcards in particular.

He's 100% correct.
Can't blame Spammers, There is no Employment in India nowadays. Gotta earn living somehow 😂
Very good analysis. I have shared this on Facebook and WhatsApp groups
Usually these are also from fake numbers. If you don't answer and try to call back it won't go through.
The guest has perfected the art of BS. Authentication authentication authentication. Act on the mobile numbers which are causing spam.

Simple solution, stop pickin any number for once.. Twice is an emergency
They ll start calling twice soon

It's bank, and having a mobile number in Adhaar is responsible for scam calls.
way to control: silence all the calls from unknown numbers. encourage people to use voice mails or drop sms or whatsapp message. so if a genuine call remain unanswered, by seeing transcript of voice mail, call back can be made.
I don't pick calls from unknown numbers unless I am expecting a package or they call twice. (Thankfully spammers don't call back to back, yet)
Even if the call is international, the bank account on which the money gets transferred is local and gov should have control on it.
Pay for Truecaller and block these mofos
Data privacy is joke in India. U give ur number and is shared to anyone who needs. Forget number they even know each and every details
Not impossible, just switch off the phone😅.
But apart from the joke, you can block all the spam by Block every call except the phonebook number.

You cannot stop. The mobile network as a system has flaws which is at international level. You can't stop international inbound calls.
@AravindhKumar007 Why are you focusing on exceptions. Solving it 80% itself is a great relief
looks like #TRAI is incapable of handling this nuisance. #PMO #Supremecourtofindia just ban all marketing calls.... period!.
all unknown numbers auto block on my phone...... only option
