I like the body style of the W204 but the interior was not as sophisticated as the rest of the car, but then again 10 years ago that was how most car interiors looked.
One major problem with the W204 is that the rear subframe is prone to corrosion. Fortunately, the corrosion warranty in the US has recently been extended to 20 years so all W204s should be covered. I had to have the rear subframe on my 2009 C200 replaced under warranty. Other than that, they're great cars. No wonder Mercedes sold nearly 2.4 million W204s making it their best selling model. I think that some rear legroom was sacrificed for boot (trunk) space. You can't have it both ways.
Young Franco The maintenance ultimately depends on how reliable the C300 is for you, but it can be a bit pricey. Mercedes-Benz usually has a hit or miss reputation in terms of reliability unfortunately, but if you really want the car, then go for it. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
This generation C300 is one of the most bullet proof cars and the engines in it the same. You should know this if you own this car. Why else buy it, we bought one because it’s one of the more reliables car ever made check engine light rarely goes on. Car easily make 800k miles. W204 one of the best reliable cars ever made by any company. Maintenance is super cheap all you gotta do is oil Changes on time and other fluids.
Hello. To answer your question, I’m not entirely sure, sorry. I drove a 2009 Audi A4, which I thought was nice, but I haven’t driven an A6 before. I liked the C300 more than the A4, but I haven’t driven/been in an A6 before. I’m sure the A6 is nice, but I can’t give a fair assessment, simply because I don’t have any experience with an A6, sorry. Thank you for watching!
You always give a great review. I am glad I have the A220rather than a C 300 to be honest with you. Just sportier design with the AMG package, and great technology. I chuckled at your stupidity factor. How exactly would you explain that? Once again, I am a fan. Thank you for your video
Rave Reviewer Thank you so much, I really appreciate your feedback! The A-Class is a great car as well, you can’t go wrong with either of them. The stupidity category is essentially based on the amount of design flaws/unnecessary stuff/weird pieces within a car. Being that I thought the armrest was a bit odd, and I’m a stickler for blank switches, I took two points off, making it get an 8/10 for stupidity. A higher score for stupidity means it’s better or has less-stupid features. Sorry about the confusion. And thank you for watching as always 👍🏻
Vanquish Media That’s pretty cool, one of my friend’s parents has a 2017 C300 that I’ve been in a few times, it’s a nice car. I can understand why you think the interior is cheap looking, all that plastic can definitely make it feel cheap. Personally, I like wooden interiors though (even when they’re obviously fake lol). Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@peterkobasa I do not mind the wooden interior, it looks elegant. The plastic wood is lighter than real wood. For safety reasons I do not think auto makers would use real wood on interiors, maybe a long time ago they did. Plastics typically are cheaper, lighter and in an accident safer in most situations.
@@peterkobasa The W204 body style still holds up very good 10 years later. Mercedes are timeless cars, it will still look cool even 10 more years from now when the body of the car is closer to 20 years old then.
Vanquish Media That’s very true. Each generation of Mercedes-Benz has its own unique persona that make it stand out. Their designers/engineers do a great job with their vehicles. As I said in the vid I really like the design of the W204, and I agree that it’ll continue to look good in the years to come

Vanquish Media Thats a good point. It’s kinda cool to look back and see how car designs have evolved over the years
@@peterkobasa I had just graduated university then. I miss rock music on the radio, and the video games were better then.
Vanquish Media Yeah same I mainly play video games from the early 2010s because I grew up with them. And I agree music from the early 2010s was elite
@@peterkobasa Do you play PC, console?

Approximately 76,000 when the video was filmed. I don’t know how many miles are on it now, sorry. Thanks for watching
I have a 2017 C300 (W205). The interior on the W204 is very cheap looking plastic.
