    I did a huge Costco delivery order a few weeks before things started getting too bad. Yes it was a little more expensive but totally worth it. I was exhausted and going through radiation treatment so I couldn’t have done that shopping myself even if I wanted too. I was so thankful for that service! I did it early enough that I was still able to get toilet paper, huge jug of hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes etc.

    I’m Making masks in Seattle for a missions group I volunteer with . Generally we sew twice a month making things to go with missionaries ( ie days for girls, hats. Quilts, Ponchos, hot pads, clothing ) but we were asked to sew masks for local needs so we are! We are mainly donating them to caregivers at senior facilities, group homes , and clinics . I’ve sewn / donated 325 masks in the past 3 weeks.

    There’s a HUGE price difference if you can order online through the store’s website instead of through Instacart. Kroger stores you can order online with them, then it sends it to Instacart, which means you are charged through the store and not the extra markup. Some stores don’t offer this and you have to order through Instacart, but if you have a Kroger store, it’s a big savings. Same price as pickup, only extra cost is the delivery and tip,

    • @Nicole-qc5dh
      @Nicole-qc5dh 4 года назад +2

      I would give anything to be able to pick up my groceries. I've tried to place orders 3 times with Kroger and Meijer and 3 times, after wasting over an hour putting together my order there were no available pick-up or delivery times. I ended up having to shop in store. I don't understand why these stores can't put more resources towards fulfilling online orders if that's where the demand is.💁 It's frustrating if you live in a more populated area and I wish they would give us better options than being forced to shop in store.

    I too have been making masks. I haven’t been able to make any for the hospital. I’ve been making for family and friends. Some are still working. My sister is a CNA and goes to many people’s homes, so I wanted to make sure that she has quite a few. I am using a 18 gauge wire because the pipe cleaners moved around too much. I make a pocket or casing to slide it in so that it stays in place. On the wire you would need to use needle nose pliers and curl the end of the wires back on itself so they aren’t pointy. Otherwise they can puncture through the material. I find the more that I make, I learn different ways to make them better.

    We use instacart all the time for Kroger/Fred Meyer it's great! Sometimes you don't get the best person shopping for you but it's a great service.

    Great, I became an Instacart Shopper three weeks ago. Loving it, hope you tipped the shopper very well. We depend upon it.

    Usually your first instacart order is free. If you do it directly through instacart it’s more expensive, but if you go to costco and do you list then choose instacart, it’s the same prices as the store.

    I enjoy using instacart the fees are doable if on a small budget, still do Walmart delivery also, and paid 12.95 for unlimited delivery, which is not the normal way I shop but during the stay at home orders in missouri and stores having low supplies it works for us right now.

      @@eicrawford3993 pardon??? as a career it's employers do not provide masks?? Well that is going to be interesting if anyone gets sick when this virus has settled down I would not want to be that county council in the USA and your ability to sue - There would be a human outcry in New Zealand and our Government would step in and make sure the protective gear was available

      Here there is such a shortage of the medical masks that Mose carers in nursing homes or other staff in nursing homes are required to use ONE paper mask for the entire 12 hour day-meaning taking it on and off and slipping it into a paper bag during breaks for eating, drinking etc. And NO matter how soaked in sweat or anything else they get! In “normal, BC (before Covid) times you would be supplied a fresh clean mask after any break or if needed due to excessive heavy work etc. This mask shortage is very real and putting a lot of people at risk!!

    I've been using Instacart since October and I love it! I do tip quite a bit extra, but I only ever shop from Aldi, so my prices are lower than if I went to a local grocery store and ended up adding unnecessary items to my cart.

    It’s back up in California at the time like this. Yes, it is a mark up for sure and it is expensive for sure but there a monthly fee that will paid itself if we order more often. Nothing compares to shopping in store.

    JESLessica, killee(punn not intended) to add s filter pocket. HEPA vacuum bag cut to rectangles or even a pm 2.5 filter. Note: the higher in filtration the wuicker mask fatigue will set in.

    In uk it’s same priced goods plus variable delivery charge depending time I often only spend £2 usually and if what they is substituted with more expensive item you don’t pay difference if cheaper or returned your account debited so think ours pretty good

    I have tried to use instacart a few times since our shelter in place order started. It hasn't been the best experience for us, only about half the items arrived so we ended up having to go to the stores anyway. Our stores are only just now starting to get back to normal though. My husband went to the grocery store today and there weren't limits on anything!
