Just passed my Tester Certification today! Thanks to Garrett for being such an awesome instructor for the course. Made the course extremely easy to understand. In fact, 5 out of the 6 people taking the course passed!
Great instruction video . The best iv seen . The production is excellent , with no over dub G is explaining as he proceeds . all instruction videos should be this good . And without ridiculous Metal music ! so refreshing to hear some easy listening Raga . Thank you all
Great video all around regarding testing Backflow Prevention Assemblies according to the USC 10th edition! Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Can you do a failures video? This video helped me learn the procedures, but when it came to identifying failures in my proctored test, I had to watch another video. The instructor here is informative and helpful. I hope you come out with potential failures video with same instructor.
Im a residential plumber looking to one day open up a backflow preventer side business in Maryland. I got my backflow license last year and remember the class being pretty straight forward. The models in this video are pretty much the same models we practiced with in class. Are these the only ones I should know and the rest will be about the same? Or are there a lot more I should be studying.
For the RP you did all the steps except for getting the PSI reading for check #2. I know you checked for tightness of check 2 but is there a way to get the reading without having to move low pressure to test cock 4 and high pressure to test cock 3?
@@solidsnake2085 really? That's interesting. I just checked my USC manual right now, and it says what I just posted. I understand that each county is a little bit different though
Just finishing up a course at bac-Flo unlimited is San Antonio and they (Troy and Fred) show you the same exact methods!! Great job even got the NIIO
Those guys are hilarious. I still catch myself mocking the way Troy said R/P to this day!
The best refresher video for the backflow test procedures. Thank you!
Really appreciate the clear and informative way you presented the testing of these assemblies. Great refresher.
THE MOST CLEAR EXPLANATION OF EACH STEP
Excellent demonstration as well as explanation 5⭐️
Garrett explained everything perfectly, with the perfect amount of detail. Really wish you had diagnostic videos!

I just passed my AAWA hands on test here in CA, thanks to this video!
Thank you I have my test soon been watching your video religiously 😅
Great video. Our procedure is slightly different in Canada, but it's negligible and would not change the field test. Thanks for this 🙏
Phenomenal video. Great job 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this

Any chance for a fault video?
Stay tuned, we are working on one.
fantastic video!!
Perfect thank you!
Is there a place I can get an instruction manual other than the video for this?
We would love to assist you. Please call our office at 1-800-841-7689.
Can you do the usc testing procedure for type 2 bypass
For the DC: both check values added together should not exceed 10 PSI. This may be local for california/nevada only !
For the RP you did all the steps except for getting the PSI reading for check #2. I know you checked for tightness of check 2 but is there a way to get the reading without having to move low pressure to test cock 4 and high pressure to test cock 3?
Yeah, missed getting the buffer pressure
Check valve 2 is tested for backpressure, there is no value for it except for "closed tight" or "leaked".
@@reAllyNoWayyy well, in one of the counties we work in they require the 3 hose test and psi ratings for check 1, relief, and check 2.

You missed recording the line pressure.
He didn't record anything did he? It's test procedures not a 'How to" fill out an inspection sheet
