Thank you for this review! By comparing it to By the Fireplace and Memoirs of a Trespasser (a favorite of mine) you sealed the deal. Even though the price has risen, if it's an alternative to Memoirs of a Trespasser, it's worth the price.
Yes unfortunately stock on this is running low so the price is heading up but the bottle is also twice the size of Memoirs so that may also be something to consider
Memoirs of a Trespasser is currently my favorite vanilla. Think i'm gonna scoop up Club Black on eBay if I can find it. From your description this sounds like a good one I can wear when I don't wanna dip into my bottle of Memoirs. This might be my next blind buy.

I find it to be a little bit darker than the Perry Ellis. Haven't worn it(Perry) in quite some time though.

I was holding out on getting it, but I recently did. I'm not a massive fan of vanilla fragrances, but this one is damn good.

Maybe it's just me, but MBCB smells eerily similar to Rich Warm Addictive by Zara. Great fragrances and excellent review, Sir.
I will have sniff that one again I do have it but I don't remember it being as smoky
