CORROSION UNDER PIPE SUPPORT (CUPS)

Corrosion Under Pipe Support is a very common problem. This video shows how to deal with it using our high-power EMAT device VOLTA, which is capable to detect corrosion on free-standing buried pipes, welded, clamped and many other types of supports.
It measures attenuation and/or velocity changes in the signal due to corrosion, cracks or other defects on the supported bottom. Ideal when access to the top of the pipe is possible and to complement circumferential scanning from the side.
