Got same 2020 Jeep Cherokee Limited with only 11k on it recently ,it was only used at the dealership as a loaner so in great condition. A couple little tiny blemishes on the finish a tiny door ding on driver's side that I notice that probably nobody else could see without a magnifying glass and the back bottom bumper has two tiny chips in the finish. Also one rim had a little curb rash on it,but it's ok I am getting the wheels powder coated Glossy black.I love that "black out" look with this Sting grey color. It is a big step up from my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe . It's my first newer vehicle I have gotten in 12 years!.Was going to buy a Grand Cherokee but I am not driving around a huge family. Once in awhile my GF and /or my daughter. I love the get up and go compared to my 2.4 Liter Hyundai!
I bought the Altitude w/2.0 turbo engine a year ago. AWD, nice interior, seats are super comfortable, visibility great, 30+mpg in mixed city/hwy driving, excellent traction in Michigan winters. I really couldn't be more pleased. My '20 was delivered tax and plates at $27,000 and change. I am not sure there would have been a better SUV decision. My only complaints are: (1) the 9spd trans isn't sure what gear to be in when I have Cruise Control on in local highway driving situations, especially going up/down hills; (2) there's no electric release for the rear hatch in this trim level, and that hatch door is relatively heavy. That's it, though. Otherwise, a great vehicle--especially for the $$.
Whew! That's a heavy price tag, but the rest of the Compact Utility Vehicle competitors can reach that price in their top-of-the-line models too. It's a bit difficult justifying $40k for this... Don't get me wrong, it's a neat car, but $40k seems a bit too steep... Jeep is usually good with incentives though. Right?
I've always thought Cherokee is a beautiful, traditionally-shaped SUV. Do not be put off by the MSRP. After the inevitable factory/dealer discounts, Cherokee pricing is always very competitive.
You can't just "throw the 8 speed" in this thing. This is FWD transverse mounted engine platform, while the 8 speed is only for longitudinal mounted engines on RWD platforms. I know you're not an engineer like some of us, but just take a quick Google search of what Fwd transmission looks like vs a RWD transmission... They are not even closely related.
We just leased a limited and yes the value for our price is awesome. Like it better than AWD as it selects road conditions and stays mostly in FWD mode in most cases. Yes the Sport mode is best overall to drive in too. Thanks 🙏
I am actually getting thos this same model on Thursday. Trading in my 2016 Cherokee. Cant wait and love the color. Thank you for the video it helps so much
Grand Cherokee is where it's at. This isn't worth 40K with that Grille, Tires, or Analog Speedometer. These don't have the "body" character of the Grand Cherokee. V6 is good but, Front end looks shabby, imo. Great Review👍👍👍
Agree 100% Honestly don't know why someone would choose this over a GC other than lame things like price or fuel economy. Even parking the GC is easy, and that's coming from someone who used to drive a Kia Sportage!
@@msrednic overall size. some people want smaller cars than bigger. Price difference isn't a lame thing, it's a practical thing. A Cherokee Limited $40k or a GC Limited for $50k. Lease say run you $500 a month on the Cherokee and $650 for GC. an extra $150 a month for a bigger car that not everyone needs or wants.
I'm looking at a 2020/2021 Limited or High Altitude 4x4 with Elite Package & man they're both really nice! They both have a lease payment in the low 300 range that I could better afford as a graduating college student once I get a job lol. The Limited & High Altitude trims are premium & upscale version of the Cheroke that has nice luxury features in it
Yes the sticker/msrp is 40k, but its a jeep so you can expect up to 8k off in discounts. So it makes it more tolerable still its a jeep dont expect reliability
Just rented one with 2.4 I was surprised 420 miles per tank most I got quite bit of pick in acceleration for 4 banger and very comfortable on 12 hour drive
How much did you pay for your limited? I got a good deal on the 80th anniversary for under 29k and it was with the sunroof, couldnt pass up the 4x4 for that price in my crap weather state
Just bought a 2019 Limited JC, yes it's 2022 currently but definitely not worth 40K ever. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️Lol if so I definitely got mine for a real steal LKL
They all mostly go up to that price. Why the surprise? Seriously. The best bang for the buck is the Mazda CX5 and Hyundai Santa Fe. Toyota Rav4 and VW Tiguan are even more overpriced than Jeep. The VW is real nice. But the Toyota is not as luxurious as the Cherokee. But there all topping off at around $40K now, or close to it. And the reason is all the new tech, especially regarding safety.
I DEEPLY REGRET buying my 2020 Cherokees. Learn from my MISTAKES. My 1st 2020 Cherokee was a lemon and my 2nd 2020 Cherokee was not built right and neither Jeep or the selling dealer Bob Poynter Columbus will make it right . BUYER BEWARE do NOT BUY a Cherokee or trust a Jeep dealer. Just Empty Every Pocket is a TRUE acronym.
Got me one to turbo 2020 elite tow pkg and yes it’s fast took it up to 120 mpg w/ a diesel truck older down rte 66 guy driving diesel look on face as I was lighter and faster 😄
This jeep is very plain looking, and if it had a v8, it would be worth 40,000 plus. Get used to driving in the slow lane if you buy this thing. On the up side, jeep always has good traction and ground clearance. 😃
Got this one with the 2.0L turbo. Its surprisingly quick on the throttle, and no hiccups with the 9 speed. Love it!

As a Cherokee Trailhawk owner I can 100% say this SUV shouldn't cost 40K at this trim. Hell it would be difficult to justify a TH at that price.
I picked up a 22 trail hawk with 3161 miles for 30k happy af with it

The 2021 Cherokee Latitude Lux 3.2L V6 FWD (+/- the comfort and convenience package) seems to be the best bang for the buck value
Welp I bought a 2016 model at carmax few months ago with only 14k miles on it for 16,899 I can't see myself paying 30 or 40k for a car
I have the 2.0L turbo in the Trailhawk trim. I LOVE it.
Just leased one last week! This is the exact same one I got...color and everything. The way I like to remember the color is Sting Gray/Sting Ray
Kyle Hart congrats!
The 4x4 system is really. I drive this in highlands at 4000 msl (2.4 engine) and was pretty solid

My sticker for my 2018 was 41,000 Canadian and I came out the door with 32,000 so yea I’d say incentives are very good
My sticker was 39,xxx and I got out at 32k for a High Altitude edition.
I've always thought Cherokee is a beautiful, traditionally-shaped SUV. Do not be put off by the MSRP. After the inevitable factory/dealer discounts, Cherokee pricing is always very competitive.
Yes indeed

Have a 19 Latitude plus with about 70k already. No issues at all.
Meanwhile Chevy are asking 50k for a near top spec Blazer
without even a normal sunroof
LMAO smh.
What car review would be complete without mentioning the rear door handle. Is that an optional feature?
We just leased a limited and yes the value for our price is awesome. Like it better than AWD as it selects road conditions and stays mostly in FWD mode in most cases. Yes the Sport mode is best overall to drive in too. Thanks 🙏
We have a latitude plus whith is still a nice little suv good gas mileage and for 32k you can’t beet that even tho the grand Cherokee is so nice
I am actually getting thos this same model on Thursday. Trading in my 2016 Cherokee. Cant wait and love the color. Thank you for the video it helps so much
Steven f, how has your Cherokee been since you've had it? Which engine? and is it 4X4?
I payed 49000 turbo Elite tow pkg everything on it 😁yes husband bought me for 49 yrs married 🤣 WORTH IT😎
It doesn't even look like it's worth 40G. Jeep and their hilarious prices. You can get a telluride with leather for that price. Lol
I agree the Cherokee is overpriced, but the Grand Cherokee is a much better deal.

that little speaker is a subwoofer combine that with your phone whole different world especially iheart radio good ole 80s bass and guitars yes

Jeep Grand Cherokee Definitely worth the money.
Just rented one with 2.4 I was surprised 420 miles per tank most I got quite bit of pick in acceleration for 4 banger and very comfortable on 12 hour drive
Like the older 2006 models they were not clunky looking this looks like an Explorer even though it's a limited
Live my 98 Grand! Had it 22 years
I just purchased this exact vehicle. It is very nice. It started out at 34k not 40k.
How much did you pay for your limited? I got a good deal on the 80th anniversary for under 29k and it was with the sunroof, couldnt pass up the 4x4 for that price in my crap weather state
Had this in a 2015 3.6 engine went out at 8i000 had it repaired
2,000 bucks went out again two hundred miles later they said cam shaft fell apart.
I personally love mine:)
devin duda which one do you own? Meaning which Trim Level?
I got the limited one
@@devinduda8365 We have that one too - in the Velvet Red
Nice you like it?
I have North, with limited rim special package and I love it as wrll
Just bought a 2019 Limited JC, yes it's 2022 currently but definitely not worth 40K ever. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️Lol if so I definitely got mine for a real steal LKL
For brand new Jeep Cherokee 2020 does run on regular gas ???
The Cherokee has better gas milage

The dealership gave one theses as a loner nice but not worth 40 grand the reason fca cars are so much is because they just pile every option into them
Nice looking ride, color and video Ben but are they are really asking $40k for that?
Jesus Baez that’s just msrp
Thank you...Ben most useful video I have seen so far. I would appreciate if someone did one comparing different packages and trims .
Jennifer Bradanini thank you
The funny part is that it say 4x4 when it not .😂
Just leased one in Velvet Red. LOVE IT!
Bruh say sike my dad did not just get this when he could’ve gotten an Audi or Benz for the same price??
Agree. For the price of this model.
Overpriced for what you get !!!
9-speed tranny probably not gonna be good !!!
You are so correct about the 8-speed !
My Jeep limited has a 5.7 litre v8 works wicked
Cherokee not an option. Grand cherokee?

Always loved this Cherokee but heard and read to many times about this and the compass dying on too many people
Never had any issues with my 18 compass.... I did finish off my lease and leased a Cherokee Limited we shall see
No issues with my '15 limited..
these are so ugly I cannot stand it; I always go for the grand Cherokee I am on my second one hoping for the third
$40k .... Nah; I'd get a fully loaded CR-V or Rav4
It’s not worth 40,000 more like 30,000
I say 30,000 💵
In reality you can get it for 28K with incentives
@@keytothegate68 not a limited trim
You talk waaaaaaay too fast bro
الله يرزقني اياها

How many barrels of oil are absolutely wasted per year by Utube reviewers from remote starting cars for no reason? A whole ship full? They ain't woke.
LOVE USA
For $43000 you can get a Mercedes GLC which is 20 times better then this piece of Jeep shit
GLC starts at $50k
Cherokee is hideous!
Lol
