Our bodies are vessels of worship. We are designed for that purpose, but the Creator gave us a choice. We can choose to worship and follow money, jobs, fame, people/spouses, the land, etc. He didn’t create robots to follow His every command. How much more beautiful and meaningful is it to be loved and desired so much that we CHOOSE to follow Him rather than being forced to do so? Joshua tells the children of Israel going into the promised land that if it seems wrong or evil to them to follow YHVH, then make the choice of who you want to serve, “but as for me and my house we will serve YHVH”. It was a choice then, just as it is to us this day and it’s the most important choice we can make. Over and over He says, “if you love Me, keep My commandments” We show our love and faithfulness by doing these things. Like you said, just like Jesus himself did. It’s not “Jewish”, it’s for the mixed multitude, and the other 12 tribes who have lost their identity for the time being, but the Almighty still knows who His people are. Practically all of the stories you read throughout the Bible can be applied to us in this day and time, and it’s just fascinating the connection. I LOVE the holy days of YHVH and look forward to them every year, especially the older I get and the more able I am to see the importance of them. According to both of these lunar calendars, the seventh month just began on October 4th at sunset through October 5th, which would make October 13th at sunset through October 14th Yom Kippur, or Atonement, and of course five days later, Sukkot. The feasts are really easy to keep in order when you think of everything on an agricultural/lunar cycle. It all makes so much more sense than this totally non biblical solar calendar the world follows.
