There's a building a couple blocks from my house that has a large chalkboard on the side and people are free to write/draw whatever they want on it. A few days ago I decided to write "LISTEN TO FRANK TURNER" on it. I passed by it again earlier today and somebody drew an arrow pointing to it and wrote "Listen to this guy."

3 days ago, my mom passed away from cancer. And here am I again.
Thanks Frank, this is the only song I know that really captures the essence of a warrior hanging up the armor and stepping into the sun.

Thomas Drysdale Legendary for being in that awful band (except for the bassist) Million Dead & then being a 3rd rate rip off of Billy Bragg/New Model Army. Legendary for writing some of the most awful, immature lyrics ever put to music. Legendary for buying his way into the business with his parents money. Legendary for having intellectually challenged fans who don't know to when to use 'you're,' instead of "your." All that said this is a good song . . . but it's only his first good song.

Celtic Bird Sucks because almost his entire life was spent wrestling ring. He was literally born to do this! But, like he said in his Best In The World documentary, when he's done with something, he moves onto the next one. Sad he's done with pro wrestling. I don't think I've ever witnessed a man that had a bigger passion for this business than Punk did. Let people say what they want, but I know Punk will do great in UFC. After all, he is the "best in the world."

I cant believe people are disliking this video because the guy puts himself against a pro wrestler? The music is awesome and this album is supposed to be about songs for pulling yourself out of some shit when you are feeling down. Hence positive songs for negative people.

I can't believe this has passed me by all this time.
Punk and Frank are two of my few idols and two guys who worked fucking hard and against all odds to be able to do what they want with their lives. Watching videos of Frank playing solo shows in 2005 is very similar to watching Punk doing IWA-MS shows in the early 2000s.
Both guys had similar paths, are driven, intelligent and brutally honest, the only difference is that Punk is a straightedge and Frank is a fucking drunkard lol (but I think he talks about having a straightedge tattoo in one of his songs? or am I imagining things?).
Now this is the kind of band I can get excited about. Great song after great song.
