I use a light colored base coat of matte liquid lipstick, then contour/highlight with eyeshadow, then finish with a gloss. I swear this routine makes my lips look so voluptuous and it last longer than with just shadow and gloss.

You could use liners and top it with gloss. If you blot that(ik sounds crazy) you'll get a beautiful lips stain. If you're a bit agressive with blotting it makes your lips bigger, temporarily but noticibly). I like to play with skin powders over it, skin colored, banana, corrector shades it changes the look. Its also a great hack for those blurred lips Korean style lips

This is actually so nice that you recommend experimenting with applying products to the parts they are not intended for. Like I was always thinking of using eyeshadows as blush or lipstick, but got rid of the idea, 'cause "are you crazy? nobody's doing that!" But, honestly, it's a great way to see what you colors suit you, especially when you don't have a ton of products. So, thank you! This is really encouraging ❤

There are several Asian face palettes (mostly Korean ones) that have several pans of the same size meant to be used all over the face. They usually come in neutral to dark, or light to neutral tones, so you can use the pigments on your eyelids, cheeks as blush, or as contour, and even on your brows.

Besides that not all products for your face can be “ingested”. Ingredients are different for each type of makeup. Don’t think that eating talc, glitter, etc, which most eyeshadows contain, is a good idea. This is just not a good thing to be experimenting with.

Wow, great content! I actually do this all the time: contour powder for lining the lips, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as blush, eyeshadow in my brows, highlighter as eyeshadow, liquid highlighter and concealer to make a more or less glowy base (do not own foundation) ... make-up is simply pigment and I see the intended use basically as a suggestion 😅 sometimes I tweak the formula as you do.

I love this idea. Would love to see the red. Also I think this would be a great series idea. Multiple ways to use and customize makeup we already own. For example using lipstick as blush. I bought a brown eyeliner pencil in a gel like formula, really didn't like the color for my eyes, but its the perfect color for my brows. I use an eyebrow brush to make hair like strokes and because its waterproof my eyebrows stay in place all day! The pencil is also great as an eye base when I want to deep eyeshadows.

Funnily enough I was doing this exact same thing as a child. When I was 7 or 8, I remember my mom bought me some kids makeup set and I hated the lipsticks, I thought they were too "girly" and pinky. So I'd secretly use my mom's eyeshadows and layer them on my lips to try and create more wearable colors and then I'd coat my lips with sone vaseline or the cheap gloss from the set. That was sooo fun. Alex, you brought back so many memories ❤ Thank you for this video and reminding me of this trick I had no idea was legit

I've been using it daily ever since I purchased it. It replaced my Makeup by Mario palette which has all matte shades. DC eyeshadow formulation is so good. It blends like butter. It doesn't cling in my dry patches plus the pan sizes are really big. I don't know why I didn't try their products before. They are so underrated. I usually use lipstick for blush, i own like two blush-highlighters and all the other blush is me either using lipstick or eyeshadows.
