Tbh i think this is great but the idea of splitting logs and the satisfaction when u do it with an axe is way better

I have one of these and it’s terrible. Doesn’t cut any wood like it does in this video. It just gets stuck. It’s a paperweight now

It's more about the drill than the bit the wrong drill will send that piece of wood spinning like top.

Yah easy with like a 700 dollar drill and bit. You might as well buy a full blow log splitter

Way easier and faster to handle a drill than a big, slow, cumbersome splitter 🤷 I imagine they both have their advantages

Works on tiny wood for starting camp fire. Don't think u are going to split real wood to heat your house. And u need a monster drill!!! No battery drill or 1/4hp electric drill will work a cone wedge

The drill is too small for the job, you need a rotary hammer, medium size at least. Like a sds plus ➕️ one

I'm disabled and have a few small fires a year. I buy my wood split already.
Make smaller pieces with it kindling even.
I love it. On a smallish drill I already had. So it has a purpose. Just not as impressive as it looks as far bigger wood. A lot of people try going into the cut end of the log and that doesn't work near as well as sideways.
