    How would I lower the temperature at night for highlands? And can I use a heat mat for lowlands?

    Clipeata can stay outside on sumer in texas 80,90, 100 degrees?

      That would be tough as they like high humidity and temps in the 70-90’s. It’s also so rare and special, I would recommend making it a special place inside instead 😊

    Hi I bought a nepenthes sibuianensis * mariliana from you and I have noticed tiny ant's all over my plant they don't seem to be affecting it negatively but it's a bit alarming any info on this would be appreciated

      The ants like to eat the Nepenthes nectar and the plants like to eat the ants. The Nepenthes become a canary in the coal mine; they let you know you have ants before the ants get into any of your food! I would get an ant trap and place it near the plant. The ants can infest the pot over time and you don’t want that so it’s best to eliminate the ants.

    When are you suppose to release the lowland nepenthes?

    • @California_Carnivores
      @California_Carnivores  3 года назад +2

      We released them the weekend of November 20th and they sold out really quickly. We’ll try to add a few more plants throughout the winter. If you go to our website you can sign up for our newsletter - I always email everyone when we do a big inventory update ☺️

    That big one is very impressive. What species or hybrid is it?

    • @monke1919
      @monke1919 2 года назад

      Probably some truncata hybrid. Maybe even pure?

      Looks like nepenthes Caesar which is sibuyanensis x truncata

    Can lowland nepenthes do well in 50-70 percent humidity?

    • @California_Carnivores
      @California_Carnivores  3 года назад

      Yes! They’ll be happier the more humidity you can offer them too.
