  • Custom Culture, where next?
For episode 3 of our Shed Talks series we assembled a very special line up of panellists from the custom and OEM motorcycle industry; Winton Yeh from Rough Crafts, Calum from DeBolex, Paul Drake aka ZiggyMoto, Adrian Sellers from Royal Enfield and David Cheng from Cafe Racers of Instagram. They all threw in their two cents on not only how custom built design and fabrication techniques are evolving but the popularity of certain genres and what they expect to see next...
    What do you think?

Watching this while seated at the LA shed, inception at it's finest. Another great one, happy to hear more from Morgan on this one.

Hey Guys- Loved the chat, its so amazing where the time has gone, I moved from the UK as a humble Motorcycle Courier and started building CB750 Cafe Bikes in California in 2000, I have built over 50 and made thousands of parts for up and coming builders, I love how much passion is about for the Motorcycle building. Just to hear the excitement with conversations from old and young at what they are wrenching on in the garage is such a buzz for me. No matter what the trend is, i shall always build parts and create Custom Motorcycles for customers and every day is a new leaf for me- Albeit the branch is getting a little weaker. keep up the great shows, i watch them mate. Peace and Grease

Always a great show at Tobacco Dock. I think any bike is open to Customizing but its how the themes influence a hole wave of creations thats amazing.

I love this discussion, couldn’t make it to the show and the talks were something I was really excited about so I appreciate the upload. Someone hit the nail on the head, cost will be a driver for what the new custom trends will be because the price just went up for things like the cx500 so builders have to look at something else they can pick up cheap to work on.

I'd like to see younger riders take on customising dirt bikes and light adventure bikes. We need something fresh and not a generation seeking to emulate the whole middle aged man in leathers with the same hair, beard and tattoos aesthetic. That look has grown in popularity because they have disposable income and a desire to be part of something they feel safe and familiar with. Unfortunately that means it's all we see when it comes to bike customisation and ownership.
I don't think young people can afford it though. That's the sad part.
