Glad to see we are getting a new black swordsman arc!!!
Fan adaptations, but still better than what we got in 2016/17. One being a "continuation" of the 1997 anime (Arche), while the other is "more of it's own" without any connection to prior adaptations (Studio Eclipse).

The thing that bugged me the most in the movies is the queen not being burned alive and showing the whale knight Samson getting killed by guts and how casca infiltrated the castle also the sword given to guts from zodd and skipping the assasins in the sewers and not featuring wyld so better to just read the manga because it's just a better story
It’s to Bad that we will not receive any New anime episode’s from this Great series!!!
Now we have indie folks making fan animations of Berserk. It’s great to see.

They only diff between manga guts in my eyes id hit age compared to 97
No, he is not waiting tables. do you even watch what you talk bout. Bad enough you miss pronounce so many names etc
The movies did not make guts look like he could do anything to change the outcome of the eclipse. You guys were reaching on that last “point”…he wasent some shonen troupe and I never felt that watching the memorial edition…and those 13 episodes are what introduced me to Berserk so yall sound over critical af with that last notion.
The golden age movies did make Guts stronger than he actually was. Guts in the movies was able to skillfully fight with a normal sized sword and killed multiple soldiers with it after he assassinated count Julius and his son. This never happened in the manga. Guts has never used a normal sized sword before in the battlefield, when he did he broke it immediately coz he's not good with it.
The golden age movies also made Guts bulkier than in the manga as well. They made Guts more badass than he actually was in the golden age, not just Guts, skull night too. In the movies SK blocked Void's attack from behind without even looking, but in the manga SK blocked Void's attack coz he saw it coming from the front.
@@thabangsibanda3282 I’m sorry but you comparing written/ drawn medium to animation. Ofcourse he’s gonna seem more badass because extensive motion is added to his portrayal. I’ve read the manga and seen the memorial edition and what’s been done is not SO far from the source that it’s jarring. In the manga guts is said by other characters to have had incredible strength. Your saying guts wasent that badass in the golden age arc? in the manga this fool killed Wylad without crossbow dragon slayer or hand cannon, embarrassed Silat, killed 100 soldiers, like 15-20 apostles during the eclipse, what do you mean guys wasent that badass in the manga?? And I disagree with “they made him bulkier” cuz I think they just adapted his character to the animation studio and that’s how every character looks in that style…c’mon they didn’t turn him into Broly or something.
And the whole thing with him using a regular sword when he killed Julius is because THAT MAKES SENSE. Wouldn’t it be dumb for guts to use what is recognizable to himself when he’s trying to keep his identity a secret. He’s famous as the Hawks raider captain who uses a really big sword…I think that just makes sense for his cover
@@francois47achanthat guys comments about changing guts sword during the assassination and skull knight blocking voids attack is just being silly imo but the thing with the golden age movies is that in terms of character writing it’s just worse than the 97 anime. The memorial edition did add important scenes like the campfire of dreams which the 97 had and they also added new scenes like wounds which is good.

The egregious 3d ruined the newer anime. Unwatchable unfortunately
