Sorry about the abrupt ending hahah I wasn't even planning on ending the vlog there but totally forgot to keep filming once I started editing. Hehe. Thanks for watching!
I needed this motivation to clean my own house. I also love seeing how houses and apartments are set up around the world. especially bathrooms and kitchens. Sweden isn't so different from America in that regard, but some counties are so different!
oh and I've traveled and lived all over the US. the recycling set up is different everywhere. Where I grew up in California they gave us bins and picked it up with the trash, or you could take glass, aluminum, and plastic to centers and get paid. In Oregon you paid a deposit on some things when you bought it and then got it back when you recycled, which seemed like free money even though it really wasn't. Other places you're encouraged to recycle but don't get anything in return. I live a block away from a recycling center now in Virginia so we drop stuff off there all the time, but no money. sad face.
I've never seen a time lapsed cleaning video but oddly enough 9/10 satisfied. Also in my state you recycle or you don't. Really depends on the house hold. Some people recycle religiously and others hardly ever put out their bins for the recycling truck. Wish more people did!
I wish I just had a stand up shower! I have a bathtub/shower thing and it's god awful! I can't even use it for a bathtub because it's so small and awkward ugh. Love these kinds of videos!
This type of video is really satisfying to watch! All the things return to the right place, all the dirt is cleaned, etc. Using your energy, you organized your apartment, but because you add that energy, the whole system went to a more "messed" state, with more entropy, physically speaking. This is a universal rule. Everything goes from a lower state of entropy to another more entropic state. My contribution to your series "knowing something new every day", just in case you haven't already known it, haha... Loved the video!
You need to use the konjac sponge more than once to really have any results! Honestly I love using it with or without cleanser because of how smooth my skin feels afterwards.
It's common to recycle in the US, but not like that! That machine looks like it makes recycling so much more fun. We just throw all of our recyclables into a bin, and then the truck comes and picks it up. And we don't get paid to recycle, either.
in the UK we have to recycle we get a separate bin for it and they even check it sometimes and leave leaflets on how/what to recycle properly if you've done it wrong lol there quite petty over here
There is no better helpers than fur babies! They just make life so much better! I enjoyed 'a day in the life'. As others have commented, I'd love to see an excersise vlog as well!! :)
I love cleaning! And watching people cleaning is also very satisfying! I would watch your video on the vision board because I need some motivation to get my life together!
there is recycling in the US but Scandinavia/europe takes it to a whole other level. I lived in Denmark and it was common to separate trash into 3-5 different "types" plastic metal paper etc but in Florida at least all the recycling gets thrown into one and we don't get any money back.
thegreyeyedmonster here in Brooklyn there are some supermarkets that have the machines that give you money back. I've never personally used them, since my building recycles
I loved the konjac sponge the little time i used it, but i don't know if that is the same one. The konjac sponge makes the skin feel so much cleaner and smoother. Worked for me anyway 👍🙂
Just ordered two sponges from Konjac one for my dog and also one to clean my first tattoo I'm getting next week. Thanks for all your great advice on tattoos and listening to your views has really helped me.
Hi Kat! I had no idea you were an American citizen. Can you give us some background in a future video about how your dad came to live in Sweden and how you came to be an American citizen versus a Swedish one, etc.? So interesting!
+Lisa Becker I'm a dual citizen so I'm both Swedish and American :) I've made a video called "my confusing family situation" or something similar, if you wanna check that out ^^
America is pretty forgiving for foreign born citizens. If a country like Sweden says it's okay for dual citizenship - America won't force the expat's child to choose one or the other. But it can get confusing for requirements for citizens like. Sweden I think requires people to serve at least one year of military service. America requires that all males and and probably soon all females to register for selective services at age 18. So Katrin's brothers probably have to deal with satisfying both those requirements. Even naturalized citizens of the US don't absolutely have to give up their citizenship in their country of origin.
This Vlog couldn't have come at a better time, I'm sitting here procrastinating against cleaning my own apartment and packing a suitcase for a months travels.. TOMORROW! haha.. You gave me a little motivation... just a little.. I'm still going to sit here for a couple of more videos though.. :-)
wow I'm actually pretty shocked about the small amount of people here that know about recycling.. I mean, it's not their fault obviously but I grew up with bringing bottles back to the supermarket and it's sad that only a few countries have this system (mainly European ones I suppose).. less plastic ends up in nature and you get your money back. Yaay win win 😊 And yes, cleaning timelapses are satisfying af 😂🙈
I'm pretty sure the americans don't recycle any bottles. we germans really love to recycle and I know the word panti from my vacation in Finnland! really enjoy your videos!
huhn15 where I live in America recycling is very important, and I don't know of anywhere here that doesn't recycle. We don't have the same system where the bottles are inserted one by one, but we do have a system and most people (especially younger generations) are very serious about it :)
Oh I'm sorry about my wrong telling. saw a few documentaries where they told about the big plastic problems from bottles in the us. but of course the usa is a huuuge country! again I'm sorry, and happy that you recycle :)
hey so I have a spinge like this and I use it without cleanser, because my doctor discovered that cleanser breaks me out really badly and honestly my skin got soo much better :) I've been using konjak sponges since nearly a year now and it's working well for me!
Gosh 😅 we all have the same apartments in sweden. Even though they're different, they still just feel like a smaller/bigger version of the same exact place
You´re right! People enjoy watching people cleaing their space haha! Don´t know why its so satisfying, but I do enjoy it too. Maby because it motivates me to clean :D
I'm an American and we definitely recycle. We have bottles which have a deposit and we have to return them to a store to get the money back...those are soda, beer and water bottles. Other bottles, cans, and plastic containers get sent to a recycling plant. Our cardboard and paper also get sent to a recycling plant. We put it out in a bin in front of our house on garbage day and after the garbage trucks come around, the recycle truck comes around. That's how it works where I live...I can't speak for anywhere else.
black isn't my sad color but we have to pay when we buy them so we just get our money back. It's a deposit. so say you pay $4 for a pack of 24 bottles of water, you also have to pay 5 cents deposit for each bottle so we have to pay $1.20 in deposits + $4 for the water.
+Lily Hoffman The washing machine is a dryer as well ^^ I just use the rack for airing out workout clothes or to hang clothing that gets fucked in the dryer ^^
I live in Texas, and the few places that actually have recycling either 1) dump it in the landfill with regular trash, even though it's originally separated, or 2) burn it. It really sucks, but the only thing recycling accomplishes here is to make people "feel green." I'd love to actually recycle.
In my house it's always dirty but your house is always clean and you clean it again but its clean already! Is the bed room for just you or to share with you and sonny?
very satisfying 😄 I have a mountain of clothes I'm working on cleaning and putting away, just got a house in an apartment complex with my boyfriend 😊 woot woot adulting
I'd really like a septum ring but I wonder how it's like to have one during cold weather. Should I wait until summer? And do you find it troublesome during winter?
+Rianne de Heij Well its constantly growing so I don't know what to tell you ^^ I've had about this length for more than a year. Took 1-2 years to grow
Katrin Berndt awsome! i have bin trying some tips you gave for your hair and i bought the dry shampoo you recomanded (in youre video from 2 years back i think?) and its working realy well! i will have it as long as you have it now one day i hope!
Somebody has probably said this but pants/pant means trousers (the outer clothing you wear on your legs) in America/Australia and it means the clothing you wear under trousers- underwear- in England.
In the U.K. we have specific bins for glass, tin and paper/cardboard recycling and I think most people do it, but we don't get paid for it :( but oh well that's not the point I guess! Btw love your videos Katrin! ❤️

It's so cute how rascal follows her around 💛
I needed this motivation to clean my own house. I also love seeing how houses and apartments are set up around the world. especially bathrooms and kitchens. Sweden isn't so different from America in that regard, but some counties are so different!

Rascal: Me! I help. I help!!!
I've never seen a time lapsed cleaning video but oddly enough 9/10 satisfied. Also in my state you recycle or you don't. Really depends on the house hold. Some people recycle religiously and others hardly ever put out their bins for the recycling truck. Wish more people did!
I couldn't stop laughing at Rascal following you around EVERYWHERE 😂 he's getting thick!
I know it, gets annoying after a while hahah... I don't know how many times I stepped on him today.
this reminded me of The Sims when you sped up the cleaning 😂
Lizzie K sameeee hahahaha
I wish I just had a stand up shower! I have a bathtub/shower thing and it's god awful! I can't even use it for a bathtub because it's so small and awkward ugh. Love these kinds of videos!

rascal was very helpful with cleaning
You need to use the konjac sponge more than once to really have any results! Honestly I love using it with or without cleanser because of how smooth my skin feels afterwards.
+stinefication haha of course I wasn't expecting any major results after one use ^^ it does feel nice!
It's common to recycle in the US, but not like that! That machine looks like it makes recycling so much more fun. We just throw all of our recyclables into a bin, and then the truck comes and picks it up. And we don't get paid to recycle, either.
Woah, this actually motivated me to clean my apartment! It's so clean I hardly recognise it, so thanks for the inspo lol.
in the UK we have to recycle we get a separate bin for it and they even check it sometimes and leave leaflets on how/what to recycle properly if you've done it wrong lol there quite petty over here
Watching cleaning always inspires me to clean! Thanks for this! Sonny good acting surprised at the bolognese!
Kat playing with Rascal is the most beautiful thing ever 💕
I like how your dog follows you around, really cute ^^
There is no better helpers than fur babies! They just make life so much better! I enjoyed 'a day in the life'. As others have commented, I'd love to see an excersise vlog as well!! :)

ugh i love that shower/bathroom. looks so easy to clean. ours is so filled with fluff crap it's impossible
10/10 was satisfied by cleanliness

+Ainsley Herd Haha I honestly didn't even notice while filming or editing. Just saw it when someone mentioned it 😅😅
I really enjoyed the cleaning timelapses. Great vlog Katrin. Looking forward to more. Btw, Rascal is so cute.
When you're mopping it felt like I was playing Sims and hit F3
I literally lol-ed at "Here comes the Breakfast Express!"
What a blessing having a shower without a bathtub. So much easier to clean up... :)
Indeed! We used to have a bathtub, hated showering in it. But I kinda miss having a bathtub sometimes too hehe.
I love how your dog follows you literally everywhere! What a cutie! 😭
Love how real your vlogs are
I'm pretty sure the americans don't recycle any bottles. we germans really love to recycle and I know the word panti from my vacation in Finnland! really enjoy your videos!

You have to PAY to recycle?? You should GET paid for doing it!

hey so I have a spinge like this and I use it without cleanser, because my doctor discovered that cleanser breaks me out really badly and honestly my skin got soo much better :) I've been using konjak sponges since nearly a year now and it's working well for me!

Love Rascal just chilling with you while you scurry around the house! So Cute! :D
I love the way the dog follows everywhere!
Gosh 😅 we all have the same apartments in sweden. Even though they're different, they still just feel like a smaller/bigger version of the same exact place
They're beautiful though!
I'm an OCD cleaner so this vid just hit the spot.
Lil Rascal following you around while you clean is so cute
You´re right! People enjoy watching people cleaing their space haha! Don´t know why its so satisfying, but I do enjoy it too. Maby because it motivates me to clean :D
I have one of these Konjit facial sponges and, apparently mine is infused with some sort of Japanese clay and I find that it feels great on my skin!
I'm an American and we definitely recycle. We have bottles which have a deposit and we have to return them to a store to get the money back...those are soda, beer and water bottles.

I love these kind of vlogs! Please keep posting, I think you and your family are so cute!
Liked this vlog style video! Would like to see what you do for your workouts :)
in Portugal we don't get coins for recycling, bummer.
black isn't my sad color Pois não! Bolas haha
black isn't my sad color but we have to pay when we buy them so we just get our money back. It's a deposit. so say you pay $4 for a pack of 24 bottles of water, you also have to pay 5 cents deposit for each bottle so we have to pay $1.20 in deposits + $4 for the water.
Alexandria Virginia oh I see! well we just put them in a bin just like the normal trash and that's about it haha
Cátia Afonso ahah pois é
Not a "bummer" at all :D
You just don't pay that extra amount :D
Which kinda sucks tbh.. cuz if you forget to recykle it, you paid for nothing o.o
Lovveeeeeeee Konjac sponges for my acne prone skin! Changed my life :)!
Rascal is the sweetest baby
Does your apartment not have a dryer along with the washing machine? Or do you prefer the drying rack? Just curious❤️❤️❤️
+Lily Hoffman The washing machine is a dryer as well ^^ I just use the rack for airing out workout clothes or to hang clothing that gets fucked in the dryer ^^
Aaaaawww that's so cute, her dog followed her everywhere
I love when you vlog.
Okay, love this vlog. When you said "fucking kids" it reminded me of myself lol
Hahaha it`s sooo cute that Rascal is following you everywhere in the apartment ^__^

Hey Kat. Your DW watches are 34mm or 26mm? also, is your latest one, the light brown one, St Mawes? I am obssessed with it
The light one is Durham :) And I have one black in 26 but the others are 34 :)
I'd really like a septum ring but I wonder how it's like to have one during cold weather. Should I wait until summer? And do you find it troublesome during winter?
No not at all, I don't even remember it's there half the time ^^ I pierced mine in like October and it was never an issue :)
How can you get things done before breakfast? My brain does not work without food
Great video tho! I missed your vlogs 💖
I loved this vlog, very satisfying!

Your hair is so long now! How long did it take to get the length you have now?
+Rianne de Heij Well its constantly growing so I don't know what to tell you ^^ I've had about this length for more than a year. Took 1-2 years to grow
Katrin Berndt awsome! i have bin trying some tips you gave for your hair and i bought the dry shampoo you recomanded (in youre video from 2 years back i think?) and its working realy well! i will have it as long as you have it now one day i hope!
You're pretty funny lol I like it cause you don't even try to be, you just are.
Somebody has probably said this but pants/pant means trousers (the outer clothing you wear on your legs) in America/Australia and it means the clothing you wear under trousers- underwear- in England.
Haha yeah I know, but I don't speak England-English ^^
Loved watching your little doggy following you around :)
In the U.K. we have specific bins for glass, tin and paper/cardboard recycling and I think most people do it, but we don't get paid for it :( but oh well that's not the point I guess! Btw love your videos Katrin! ❤️
lol! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that calls spaghetti "spagooter"
Cleaning is my way of de-stressing lol
Rascal is precious 😩♥️
Did you say the glasses were going back to Slovakia? Thats where Im from! Sorry I missed the live stream, did you order them from a slovak site?
+sleziful it was a Swedish site, but I'm guessing their warehouse is in Slovakia or something ^^
Cool! Hopefully youll find the perfect pair soon (:
pretty satisfying? more like ridiculously satisfying.
"fucking kids" yes katrin! hahaha
That painting behind your tv... wow! o_0
Completely irrelevant to this video I apologise. But I just watched your video from last year, when you got your whitesnake inspired tattoo. And when I listened to the song after the video, I was just in shock. That song is so beautiful, and made me feel so emotional. I understand why you love it so much. Seriously thank you for sharing it. I'm glad I found it. I found a new love, and a new band.
Thank you!
(your tattoo was awesome too)
And you rock🤘
This made me clean my house ahah
thank you
I live in Michigan and we have bottle return machines just like that. I guess we don't have a specific word I just say "i have to do bottle returns" and in my state we get 10 cents per bottle. it's definitely saved my ass a couple of times :)
I love your vlogs !
Your dog is so cute !
Where did you get your tapestry type thing that hangs in your living room with the rabbits on? I know you've mentioned it in a video before but I can't remember which one. (:
Society6 :)
Katrin Berndt thank youuuu! (: can you remember the artists shop name on there?
great vid! more stuff like this :D really enjoyed this video.
Does Rascal have a really dry and cracked nose? I know it is pretty common with bulldogs. My American bulldog has it and I'm always looking for different things to help it.
+Ashley Dempsey I know it's common too but Rascal doesn't suffer from it right now anyway. Maybe he will in the future!
Ashley Dempsey if you haven't tried already you should use Snout Soother from Natural Dog Company. it does wonders for my frenchies dry nose
You have such neat handwriting 😍
That recycling thing was cool as shit! you put it in the it gives you the money! here in Canada we have people sort it out and hand you the money hahaha xD Ive never seen a mechanical one before.
