      Cheers much appreciated. I now have around 2000kms on it already, driving the wheels off it. Did an oil change pretty much after 10 mins of run time. Another after 1000kms. Using Penrite hpr30.

      It’s a magnet that goes on the oil filter that’s reusable and it catches all the fine shit very well worth it. I’ve run them for years
      There’s generics around these days, but the original brand is about 80 bucks US I suppose

    How much did the whole swap cost and how long did it take? I am interested on possibly getting a VR/VS commodore and v8 swapping it. What tools did you need for it as well?

    • @Joedennett69
      @Joedennett69  Год назад +1

      I got a real good deal on a donnor car. Not many left. But all up to do the swap and freshen the motor probably cost me around 4-5k. I did the engine over about a month or so and the swap i did full time for around a week.

    • @abstract0014
      @abstract0014 Год назад +1

      @@Joedennett69 How about cost if you didn't refresh the motor? I assume the tools required are all the ones you used in the videos right?

    • @Joedennett69
      @Joedennett69  Год назад +1

      Everything costs money. 4-5k is cheap for what i did. It will be different depending on many factors. I probably put 1k into the motor. As for tools just sockets and spanners, and a engine hoist. Try and plan as good as you can. The rule i use is what ever i estimate to spend, double it. Same goes for time.
