I don't know why but I am really enjoying this low played Sherlock Holmes like plays. Small cast, few places to act within. There is real skill shown her. Not a single CGI element in play. Simple enjoyment. Thank you.
let me venture a guess... this series was the Basis for our American "Colombo" in the 1970's? as an American, I had never seen Clive Smith in anything other then reruns of "Keeping Up appearances" he was great in a serious roll as well! 😀👍
I am so happy to see this. It's absolutely brilliant! Clive Swift rules!!
Every time I come here, I find something great I never heard of.

When Waugh went to the burglar’s house I half expected Onslow to answer the door lol. Very enjoyable series. I hope you’ll be posting more. 👍

I wish he had done more of this more deserving of his talents :) well done Mr Swift 2 more to go and on goes the search for more of his long career :)
"The Heirs apparent of the British Empire - the antique dealers..". Great line.
Nice to see Robin Chadwick before he joined The Brothers.
Any more of the Waugh on Crime episodes? Just love these.
There are two more to follow (only six were made)

Clive Swift is a combination of Tony Shalhoub, Peter Falk, and Steve buscemi.
Ooh-La La...2 downloads...one with Mr Bucket the other with Mrs Bucket --- an interesting case of coincidence for Waugh on Crime ;-)
Then he married The Bucket Woman!
