1. Love you with your husband. What a great team!!! 2. The marble roll was an excellent choice to soften the edges. 3. Wow. What a great and fun challenge! Thank you!
Mina, This is so beautiful. I love the colors. I love your test pieces with the colors as well. I happen to love these defined fingerlings and rings, so delicate, defined and 3D. I am always a fan of your work. I am glad you did this challenge, I am going to check some of the others out. Thanks for Sharing your jungle inspiration. Huggles Always, Liz 😎💖🖌🎨👩🎨🌺🍀🦓🦊🐕💥
Stunningly executed!!! Love love love your painting! Absolutely stunning!!! You are such a gifted artist!!! Your colour palette is gorgeous to say the least!!! Thank you for sharing your talent and expertise with us xxx
Oh Mina your base coat was sooo calming & yummy!! The other “Jungle” colors were gorgeous too! The contrast between the two, and that lush green negative space is DIVINE!!! It dried even more beautiful than when wet I thought!! Really made the colors even richer and more luscious! You wield that marble so gracefully! I loved how delicate the marble made the border of the center of the straight pour! This wandering straight pour had me soaring my friend, as your gentle hand guided the composition of this stunning piece!! Bravo my friend! Love & Light! Keep pouring til you’re soaring!!💜🎨🙏🏻
Wow Mina! I thought I was going to dislike this because this is not a typical color palette that I would choose. But you made it really work. Beautiful job on this challenge!
Omg AOA. That looks like a jungle on fire with HOA's flames. Gorgeous painting. You managed Rinske's challenge really well, just like I always knew you would. Sorry I missed your live premiere but was outside in our retired car enjoying a few drinkiepoos while the rain poured down. Lot's of love to you AOA along with HOA Zen Ming Ming kitties and the rest of your amazing family From your friend in an extremely wet Northern Ireland 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔☔
I LOVE this and what a challenge. The way you chose to split the colors was apic. Separating the green as the background and using the others for your cup really worked (little sing along put a lions mane in my mind). I wasn't sure about the fine gold line until you used the marble and just like the the whole thing came together. Brilliant Mina! (You and HoA can take your song on the road... I see a future there.) Hugs, D.
There for a minute you had it looking like michigan. You had the mitten shape and the colors look like a scorching heat wave like we are seeing right now. Lol I love these colors.
Hush now darlin', don't fear my darlin' the lion sleeps tonight! The song will stay in my brain until another one comes along! Not only did you meet the challenge, you surpass the expectations!
These colors would be a real challenge for me but you made it magical, really something special. That Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold is a magical color that changes to enhance every color with which it interacts. It's truly amazing and everyone who uses it sees the magic of it. What a great job you did with this palette, just beautiful. I would really like to ask a favor and tell me where you buy the Pebeo Studio colors that aren't the iridescent ones. I see other people using them but I've look all over the internet to find them. Just reply with a name of a link if you don't mind.
Hi Laura! Thank you so much! I got the Pebeo Studios from Amazon, here's a link www.amazon.com/dp/B005IW0K0U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QN4F3T396QCA4JDH0SYB
I'm here because I wanted to see Rinske Douna's challenge - and I subscribed because I like your pizzazz. Came for the preview, staying for the show, if you will.
I came here from Olga's links. Had not seen you before. Absolutely love this unique pallette of colors. You called this a wandering straight pour -- it is not. A straight pour doesn't layer colors in a cup but pours the colors directly on the canvas. But if you hadn't layered a cup I don't think you would have had that interesting section that you like, which I also liked.
Hello and welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed this piece, it was a lot of fun! I'm going to disagree with you though, the straight pour is the technique.. you can have a dirty cup straight pour (which I will do in tomorrow's video) or a layered cup like this one. Yes they produce very different effects but the technique of pouring straight is unchanged. We can call it another type of straight pour if you like LOL 😆 thanks for watching!
It’s beautiful, love the marble role the colors are great, going to at Rinske in a minute. It dried beautifully. Now dumb ? How often do you look back on old videos and see how there doing ?????
Hi Andrew! I don't actually go back and check on the numbers for any except the current one 🤷♀️ its very odd, the algorithm is a mysterious creature. As far as I can tell the first hour is important.. if it does well in the first hour it gets recommended and viewed more. I would honestly recommend that you just do your thing and not stress over the numbers. Remember this is a journey, there will be hills and valleys, you can't control them. Post and share your work in the groups, on Instagram, Reddit, whatever platform you are comfortable in, and then move on to the next one. Don't stress over what you can't control. ❤ just keep sharing
Very interesting Mina. Just a practical question, how do you clean up your work surfaces when you’re finished- I have yet to find a way to do this without a lot of mess .. also do you save your scrapings and if so how do you use them up? Thanks Lynne from New Zealand
Hi Lynn! I scrape the drips into a cup and wipe down the plastic. I reuse the plastic until its really bad, then flip it and use that side. I do use my drips as flow extenders all the time ☺ I don't recommend using them in a pour as they can be muddy looking when dry, but they are fine for flow extenders that get tilted off.
Thanks Mina - very helpful. I will try the plastic etc. we are having problems getting paint supplies of all sorts due to the fact we import most of it … hope this Covid gets sorted worldwide in the next year! PS I loved the browny gold painting you showed before you started the jungle one!
Omg Thank you sooooo Much Mina for that great shoutout to my channel and yes I accept the challenge with great pleasure 😍😍😍
