That is a time when my people would dress well dance and have fun in a decent way , bring back the ska and let young Jamaicans feel the goodness of classic Jamaican culture 🇯🇲 .
How I would have loved to be in that club! I was only 5 years old but remember dancing to these classical songs in the kitchen with muy siblings in Kingston.
I went to the Sombrero Club to dance and relax in the years 1964 to 1968 great times with Byron Lee. There was also club Cococabana at bull Bay with Byron and another Club in Ocho Rios on Wednesday nights.I cant remember the name now. Perhaps others can remember.. I went to school with Byron at STGC he was also a geat footballer who plaved for Jmaica and scored goals. as center forward. Byron was exceptional in many ways.
I remember sombrero club was down the road from where I used to live. If I am not mistake It was located in 4 roads down molynes road. I used to sneak out on weekends night and go buy a plate of curried goat. I was not old enough to go inside the club.

Sad to think that many of those people are now dead.
