That kid had me laughing and crying lol. Jessica was funny to, she looked like she was about to launch on a roller coaster, waiting for the drop. Derrek,Jessica, and the kid's were great, what a family should be like as role model's. God bless.
As an adult with autism who is a huge VGG fan, this video really hit me in the ol’ power barn. My mouth corners hurt from all the smiling. What a wonderful experience for those special kids. Blessings to you and your family and have a healthy and happy New Year!
"It smells like history passed gas" Probably the best line ever, even beats Derek's description of most old cars I've smelled. Honestly I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard. Hope y'all have a Merry Christmas and a new year full of exciting cars and... Probably rodent droppings unfortunately, but hey, if the mice haven't lived in it, what fun is it to try to get it running?
Dude....just about pissed myself...HA!!! Wife just asked "Why are YOU crying??" Backed up and showed her...HAS TO BE in my top 3 of funniest auto-related things I've heard on YurToob ever!! Derek...RIGHT ON!!
Ya brought a tear to the eye of this old bearded bugger, having a special needs grandson (in my wife’s and my care for 23 years) seeing events like this is so wonderful. Thanks Derrick I knew you had a big ol heart just by the way your always having your boys with you in the shop. Blessings brother and merry Christmas.
Just when I thought I thought I couldn't respect a feller any more.... Great job Derek and Emily. This will mean the world to those kids and parents. I'm touched by your compassion. Merry Christmas.
"It smells like history passed gas". Kids say the darndest things, lol. As someone who is middle aged and lives with Tourettes and Autism I'm thrilled about what y'all did for those kids. The awareness that I feel needs to be pushed most is people with disabilities can live at least a mostly normal life with the right resources to help them along when needed. And I've come across some VERY smart autistic people that will blow your mind. You won't find many jacks of all trades but the gated knowledge is usually way down the rabbit hole. Looked like a really great event and next time I'm in the Birmingham area I need to go to that museum. I'm in the area once a year. Merry Christmas y'all and happy new year.
@@thetech207 Yeah when it comes to older rigs he makes a valid point. It's what happens every time Derek opens the door on a new revival for the first time and describes the smell in detail...and a lot after that too, lol.
Derek, you and your family do so much for so many different great causes. You make people who watch you want to do and be better. Thanks for taking the leap with VGG, undoubtedly the best on utube!!
Awesome what Derek and the others did for those kids. They'll never forget this day!. As a 70 year old feller I get a lot of joy following Derek's antics. My wife got me a VGG shirt for Christmas and it is my favorite gift this year!
Having spent over half my life - 26 years, working with and loving people with developmental disabilities, this made my year. Thank you so much Derek and Jessica. Hard to explain the warmth this brought to my heart…
Would love to do this in my camaro wish they were closer. It seems like an amazing charity id love to see the smiles on kids faces just riding around a track in the ol maro it would make my day
Derek and Emily thanks for doing what you're doing with these kids. I'm closer to your age than theirs, but I'm autistic and can't tell you what this would have meant to me at their age. You're heroes. Seriously. You're doing good work here fellers and fellettes.
Merry Christmas Derek, Jessica, and the boys. Thank y’all for the hours of entertainment and helpful videos. Looking forward to another great year of watching y’all grow

There’s nothing like the smile on a kids face the first time they hear the roar of a stout engine and feel the torque pinning them back in the seat, such a unique experience!!! Aren’t those Allan Millyard custom made motorcycles just amazing, that guy is one of my heroes!!! Great video bud, Minnesota misses ya!!!
Totally agree! if i'm not mistaken the 5cyl. 2 stroke and V10 are Allen Millyard's hand built creations. There should also be a V8 and a couple V twins.I wonder what Derek would think of the Viper V10 supercycle Allen built. Canada north of Minnesota also feels a little less connected to VGG now but it is great to see Derek and family doing so well and giving back via this charity.
Where do I even start,I'm 61, been retired for 5 years now, and me and the missus have been fostering 2 kids with Down Syndrome one for 10 yrs, the other for 5. Thank you VGG, again, and keep the smiles a coming!
One of the coolest things you’ve done to date! I (I mean “a guy”) cried a little. All your success is well deserved. Classy and family oriented. You don’t see many “car guys” out there like that these days. My granddaughter who is 2 loves to watch with me and repeats your common Derek’isms. It’s the cutest thing! 🤣
TEAR!!!!!!! The way you talk to the children was such a dad move keep up the the fun . Jesse's worried smile is a joy to see. God bless you and America.

Long time subscriber. I’ve watched every vid. My youngest son has Autism. I had tears in my eyes watching this video. You and your family do so much for others. You sir, are the embodiment of a true American. Keep living the dream. You earned it. 🇺🇸💪🏼🇺🇸
I went to this museum several years ago and it is amazing. I need to get back there soon. It's only about 65 miles from where we live. Thanks for taking the time to do this fundraiser!
I hope you never fall into the hype that being more “commercialized” is better. We watch you because you are “real life.” Your channel is perfect just like it is. ✨👍
Lmao. 'it smells like history passed gas'. That line cracked me right up. I'm saving that one for special occasions. Good on you Derek and family for doing great work for the Charity. Kids remember this for a lifetime!
Usually Derek gets all the good lines, but between "it smells like history passed gas" and " so good, and we didn't die" you got two upped today. Great vid! Keep up the awesome content sir!
That is an incredible facility ! Very glad you got to experience it. You are so right about a person needing two days to go through the museum ! Don't know if you saw it or not, they actually have a steam powered motorcycle in there, circa 1908 I believe. Hope the kids liked it.
This really made my Christmas Derek. So cool seeing the support you guys are giving to these kids and their families. I am constantly being surprised by how much you give back. Thank you. I have been following Austin Riley for a few years now, an amazing young man and a perfect example of what can happen when an autistic person is given a chance. So fun. 👍🏻 One thing I’ve always said to Nathaniel was to appreciate those who have helped you, and when able, give back to someone else in need. To participate in this next year would absolutely rock his world and open his eyes to just how much this means to those kids. ☺️
"So good, and we didn't die!" MERRY CHRISTMAS DEREK.... I was stoked to see a new VGG vid this morning! Thanks for all you guys do to keep us entertained! Those kids will never forget.. Oh and the challenger sounds to good! Good times...
Thank you for giving back, these kids have tough lives, and an experience like this could be life changing for them. Thank you and your family for your compassion.
You guys are awsome. Would be nice to find something like this in the Northeast. We have a daughter with Spina Bifida and another with Autism Keep up the good work guys, your hearts are full of love and joy.
Special shout out to Jessica. Fellers got himself the ultimate going-to-town companion and we ain’t kiddin’. Kudos to you and all you do. This is well and truly a family production and it’s the best. From my family to yours, best of the season to you!
I think your statement unintentionally cheapens what Derek and his family put into this, he prepared and brought two cars, fuel, his family, arranged another driver, donated money to the cause and made sure other peoples kids had a great time before his own. Sure family time was squeezed in but suggesting Derek and his family did this for himself is a little cheap. I am not saying they did not get anything out of it as I am sure they all felt a lot of pride and felt rewarded for being able to do it but credit where credit is due! The whole family and everyone else there that day put in far more effort than 90% of people out there with fast cars would have done (Unless Sponsors were involved).
@@stevet647 i didn't mean it like that at all. everything they put into this event was incredible. i was just kidding around about the giant grin on Derek's face as he carted everyone around on the track.
By far the best channel on youtube! You give so much to your viewers and give back so much to the community - amazing work. Have a great Holiday season and here's to 2022!!
You never cease to amaze a fella. You got one of them good hearts. Derek. And you bring Em along for the fun of it. Her and Arron got a couple of them good hearts too. Thanks for takin us along inside the museum. That just got put on a feller's bucket list. Merry Christmas from my family to both, the VGG and Flying Sparks families. As well as anyone who reads this comment. Let's hope for a Happy and prosperous New Year for all.
You're a nice guy, Derek, with a real nice family. I'm so happy that I get to go along on these journeys. Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and all the best to you all in the New Year. Just, awesome!
Man everything you do to give back is just amazing. Seeing the smiles on the kids faces while y’all were riding around the track. Wishing a very merry Christmas to you and Jessica and the boys.
Derrick man… I am sitting here in a tornado warning heavy storm wiped out my power… got generator running powered fridge a light and fan… watching you videos… I freaking love you… what a great soul you are. Thanks for your uploads! Keep it up! We all care about you!!!
I wanted to comment on so much as I was watching, and all I came out with is...Derek, you make me proud to be an American. Merry Christmas to ALL involved with this great episode, and have the happiest of New Years!
I can’t believe I just found this channel a couple weeks ago, already my favorite channel. Love what you did for the kids. Hope to see you on the road sometime in a clunker, in PA. Keep going and I’ll keep watching. Merry Christmas
Thank you so much for doing this Derek, those kids will remember that day and your kindness forever. As a support worker, I work with adults with autism and they never lose that honesty and innocence that those kids have. Although it can be a challenge sometimes, that's far outweighed by the amount of joy, fun and sense of well being that they give to us. Peace and love to you and yours fella.
Merry Christmas to the entire VGG family! Derek you and your family are doing great things. Your really giving youngsters something to look up to in this world and the best part is that yall did it just by being yourselves. God Bless You all!
It's episodes like this one that should remind all of us why we watch and support Derrick and Vice grip garage. DERRICK your a good man and a wonderful father. Emily is such a sweet girl, so good with kids and is always willing to jump in and help out when a feller needs a hand, so glad you were able to get her to come along. I would love to see Emily and Jessica do a revival on one car at the same time you and her husband are reviving another then all four of you roadtrip, maybe get the little humans to help out, both your 3 and her niece.
this warmed my heart to see this. I am so happy to have caught this and to know this event exists. I plan to donate to the foundation and think it is AWESOME that your channel is a part of these cool things. Derek and his family are so freaking cool i absolutely love this channel! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
Merry Christmas to Derek and the family! One of my absolute favorite RUclips channels, not only for the entertainment but for how much y’all give back. Have a happy holidays everyone! ❤️
The only words that come to mind about that museum is mind-boggling sensory overload! You're absolutely correct, it is a destination to be enjoyed over a couple days! Bring your comfortable walking shoes. It's great that y'all donate your time and vehicles to special needs children, their smiles brighten your days! Thank you!
Excellent video, as always. Thanks making us feel just a tad bit more normal in these days of turmoil. That Kawasaki with the extra cylinders you saw was probably done by Allen Millyard. He has a channel on YT you might like. What he can do with a hacksaw and a tiny shop in a garden shed just bottles the mind.
Damn, I wish I had that first kids positivity. “I can handle anything!” Super positive video man, good on ya! Cheers to you and your fam, good people doing good things.
The museum with all the bikes and cars was impressive to say the least, but what you and Emily did for those youngster surpasses anything the museum had to offer. You two put a memory in those young lives that I doubt they will ever forget. Good on you both.

"So good, and we didn't die!" MERRY CHRISTMAS DEREK.... I was stoked to see a new VGG vid this morning! Thanks for all you guys do to keep us entertained! Those kids will never forget.. Oh and the challenger sounds to good! Good times...
Just awesome! Thats all a feller needs to say about this charity event. Merry Christmas VGG family🤙🏻
Thank you for giving back, these kids have tough lives, and an experience like this could be life changing for them. Thank you and your family for your compassion.
You guys are awsome. Would be nice to find something like this in the Northeast. We have a daughter with Spina Bifida and another with Autism
Keep up the good work guys, your hearts are full of love and joy.
Merry Christmas to you and yours Derek. I'm very proud of the direction you've taken this channel.
You and your family are truly HERO’S! Thank you for all you guys do! Can not wait to some day run into you and shake your hand! ❤️
gosh i could watch this so many times, the smiles on the kids faces just is totally worth everything
Special shout out to Jessica. Fellers got himself the ultimate going-to-town companion and we ain’t kiddin’. Kudos to you and all you do. This is well and truly a family production and it’s the best. From my family to yours, best of the season to you!
So noble of you to do things like this for kids in need. Shows you have a good heart. And the museum looked awesome. Wish I could ever visit it.
let's be honest, the kid having the most fun was Derek! Happy Holidays to you and your amazing family.
Thank you fot sharing your families day with us Derek. You and Jessica are awesome people.
I like how a guy keeps giving back to the community. He has a heart of gold.
Keep up the great work derrick you are changing a lot of people's lives for the better personally thank you for being you
You're a nice guy, Derek, with a real nice family.
This is one of your best shows ever. You should do one more like this more often. It even made me cry. Thank you.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Y'all we're literally 4 miles from my house. Awesome to see the work a guy does for charity as well as promoting Barbers.
I can’t believe I just found this channel a couple weeks ago, already my favorite channel. Love what you did for the kids. Hope to see you on the road sometime in a clunker, in PA. Keep going and I’ll keep watching. Merry Christmas
You and your family are good people, Derek. No two words about it.
And so is Emily, no question!
That rain came right threw my screen and hit a guy in the peepers. Thank you for caring and sharing! Best channel on RUclips!
"It smells like history passed gas." That kid is on step with the Vice Grip Garage.
Yes that was a good one. Peace
That young man would give a guy a run for his money in the wise comment category!
Not only is your heart big, you dang wear it in the best place. You're doing great stuff in so many ways. Thank you for everything that you do.
this warmed my heart to see this. I am so happy to have caught this and to know this event exists. I plan to donate to the foundation and think it is AWESOME that your channel is a part of these cool things. Derek and his family are so freaking cool i absolutely love this channel! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
Thank you VGG for helping the kids that really warmed my heart this Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to the whole VGG family 🎄⛄
Merry Christmas to Derek and the family! One of my absolute favorite RUclips channels, not only for the entertainment but for how much y’all give back. Have a happy holidays everyone! ❤️
Thank you for sharing this awesome opportunity to give back with us. Makes a fella proud to support a guy.
The only words that come to mind about that museum is mind-boggling sensory overload! You're absolutely correct, it is a destination to be enjoyed over a couple days! Bring your comfortable walking shoes. It's great that y'all donate your time and vehicles to special needs children, their smiles brighten your days! Thank you!
You guys are amazing!
Changing lives every day already and then this!
Merry Christmas Derek, Jessica and kids!!! 🤙🏻🎄🍻
You’re such a good bloke Derek for doing this for the kids, well done you. Merry Christmas to you and your family. All the best for the future
Thank you Derek and your family for giving back like y’all do. You’re an inspiration to us all.
One of my boys has autism and you sir are a kind feller! We need more of you in the world!👍💚👌
Damn, I wish I had that first kids positivity. “I can handle anything!” Super positive video man, good on ya! Cheers to you and your fam, good people doing good things.
That first kid you took was brilliant!😁 “It smells like history passed gas in here”😂
Heartwarming. Loved the museum tour and to meet Emily, such a delightful lady.
The museum with all the bikes and cars was impressive to say the least, but what you and Emily did for those youngster surpasses anything the museum had to offer. You two put a memory in those young lives that I doubt they will ever forget. Good on you both.
Derek, you are one AMAZING human being, love everything that you and the family do in your videos. A huge thumbs up making those families day, maybe even year better. Keep doing what your doing 👍👍👍
