How long do you think the plants will last? I have some vals and anubias while im waiting for my tank to cycle (today is day#8), only 240l long tank so wont be getting any cichlids bigger than 10-12cm, I'm hoping they leave the plants alone... If they don't I will probably need to do a complete substrate swap since I have fertilizer under my gravel. If they keep digging it up the tank will get extremely dirty very fast.
@@FunFunFun120 depends on the species of cichlid. None of these cichlids except the one large male Electric Blue Acara ever touches the plants. And he only rarely does it. Usually pulls on a leaf for a couple seconds then moves on.
I was planning on going for lake Malawi since my water is naturally about 7.7 and they tend to be a bit more colourful. Any suggestions on specific species not to get?@@weasel9062
