- All MCC teams reacting to Technoblade, or Technoblade scaring every team in Minecraft Championship during MCC Pride as told by the POVs of the other 9 teams. So it's some Technoblade MCC highlights, but RUclipsrs reacting to Techno or Streamers reacting to Techno.
Techno is the only player that every team was actively wary of, and yet his reputation preceded him even with the newer teams. Techno is so fun to watch for both his humor, commentary, and gameplay, but it is especially fun to watch everyone else run away in fear.
Team rank predictions were taken from the masterthread on the MCC reddit community page.

And for those interested, here are the MCC Pride teams ranked in order of how often they mentioned Techno that I left in an MCC Reddit post:

And in regards to who Techno was acknowledging throughout the tournament, it was by far Illumina followed by TapL as individuals (not surprising) and Aqua/Lime as teams, followed by Red.

also, no doubt in my mind that techno is the favourite to win, his whole branding is built upon winning. which is kind of sad sometimes because even if he doesn't win he's honestly one of the funniest minecraft youtubers that's currently active rn- but the pressure in having to win everything might be why techno always takes long breaks between MCCs :/
Winning is definitely his reputation, but being in his chat and reading comments and such when Techno actually doesn’t win something is still heartwarmingly supportive (when they aren’t memeing him for only getting 3/4 kills in battle box). I’ve gotten the impression that a good portion of his audience really don’t care if he wins, even if that may have been why they first started watching. His sense of humor and dry delivery is really why I stick around, personally. I do hope he knows that his core audience really would stick around even when he’s losing.

I know you meant it more in the more abstract sense, but I mean come on. You know SOMEONE out there only got a history question right because of watching Techno with all of his Sun Tzu references. And I may or may not have seen Potato War in its entirety at least once every month since I first saw it. I will neither confirm nor deny.

His skin helps in that regard. As well as the sheer intimidation of facing Technoblade himself, his skin is one of the silliest out there. It's a pig in royal garb. It makes him seem less human, not mortal.

I don't wanna start any argument, but I don't think that even Dream is this feared...
I quite like them both, but Techno has the edge with pure PvP, general movement, and a longer history on insane MCC performances, which is more frightening in events like this. Although Dream does have the edge with pure parkour, possibly speed bridging, and upload consistency clout.
Either way I am so here for it.
I think it's mainly because Dream wasn't really seen much in big PVP games, unlike Techno, who became popular through Minecraft Mondays and his Bedwars winstreak

@@bluujjaay no problem :P MCC5 Green is very good, it's the only team so far where every single member was a member of Hermitcraft (there's been a few that retroactively had four HC members because of PearlescentMoon joining though) _and_ all of them were fairly new to MCC, so it was pretty chaotic :P

This event they showed to be top players, but they’re not S-Tier haha
well they dont have same level of pvp techno does though like they are both S tier parkour people and leaders but only B ish tier pvpers
Honestly I think if Illumina can show a similar high placement in this event without the especially lucky SG finales he’s had during his two wins (sure with one not canon). His stand out event is really TGTTOS, but for this event he’s getting the full S Tier treatment. Very similar to fruit in MCC 9. If he can still pop off, I think he’ll move up in rank. Plus Ilumina already naturally becomes the leader of his teams just like with the S Tiers, more so than others like say Sapnap who- while very good- tends to prioritize his individual score over the team score.

@@wow9267 hes not the best at post 1.9 pvp though hes only really ever done pre 1.9 pvp against other players but techno has practiced it a lot because of the dream duel but yea pre 1.9 hes like low S and hes good with a bow just the fact a lot of the games have the updated pvp is holding him back
I feel like it's become a cycle at some point where Techno scares a team enough that they flee, opening their weak point instead of killing him. It's quite funny after a point when it's just him calm and collected while everyone runs.

No idea whether or not he’s got an aura of danger, but yes he is a fairly average looking dude, if a bit tall. He did like a two second face reveal at the end of a video or something years ago.

@@aazombiealex you doubted me😂 That ranking is actually in a reply to my pinned comment, if you're curious. I watched Aqua and Cyan after Pink (1 and 2 accordingly for number of Techno mentions) and noticed pretty quickly how often Techno came up, so I started actually keeping track of the time stamps for this compilation. I was watching all the povs anyway for a highlights reel I'll upload soon. After that, I basically just counted the mentions and made a reddit post with my obscure stat on the mcc reddit page.

I mean it did actually work too. They lost to 2 POINTS. They could of gotten into the dodge bullet if they gotten 3 more points. So if Wilbur's apartment fire alarm didn't go off, they would of gotten in.
@@Nebulister I think one of my favorite things about Techno is how unbothered he was. He had very justifiable reason to be angry and yet was clearly only being competitive for the meme. While Wilbur and Grian were immediately hard on themselves, Techno was laughing at the ridiculous situation and keeping spirits high. A lot of people would have been incredibly salty for the rest of the tournament.
I just really respect how easily he switched from "NOOOOOOO the fire alarm!" to "okay my heart says TapL epic clutch for dodgebolt go orange!" Man has the best attitude and that's really what I miss whenever we aren't getting Technocontent. Not the pvp prowess.

This contest is so much more wholesome then Minecraft Monday, I remember watching content creators hate on techno so much just cause he beat them in Minecraft Monday, but this tournament brings out kindness

@@bluujjaay I would love to see that because I am new to MCC (MCC 14 being my first one) and I have heard stories about Wilbur's side of things lol. I know of the fire alarm since I watched that live, the one where his voice was going out, and I heard that he broke his computer or something? I know for MCC 14, he was late and his camera didn't want to work or something like that. Also he has a glitch in this named after him lol
Same for me, actually. Like I’m definitely deep into the wormhole now (…13 run throughs of the same MCC might be a *bit* excessive, but it was for these videos!) and most of the instances I’ve seen or heard tell of you’ve listed out. Outside of MCC, too, he’ll have random dumb things happen. Like he had an excellent stream a couple weeks ago that he’s just uploaded the video for where Sleepy Bois attempt to play monopoly. His office kept kicking him out of the games he tried to play and it was SO FUNNY. I was DYING.

😂already did that video, too, actually. Red had my favorite reaction for sure, though. And Solidarity when Techno caught all of Aqua so quickly.
They were genuinely doing so well! This couple of Parkour Tag rounds where Will was completely afk could have made all the difference getting them into Dodgebolt.
I mean, with Phil subbing, there's no telling if Will would have done as well as he did, so it's not a 100% they would have gotten second, but I mean. I'm still a little bit mad about it.
Wilbur playing in the MCC while on fire is the funniest thing ever though (considering nobody got hurt, obviously), and the hilarity of it is possibly even worth not getting a chance at Dodgebolt. This anecdote is gonna live in ages, I swear.
Techno even had a quote near the end about how getting 3rd is better than getting 2nd and losing dodgebolt. It was definitely disappointing (if for nothing else poor Grian missing out again. Man has earned a win at this point my goodness), but in all honestly the meme will probably live on longer than a win would have. I agree, that kind of ridiculousness makes for great content. Granted, my first video that got attention was all of the other teams reacting to the fire alarm, so I think I'm a bit biased😅
Plus it suits him. A future compilation I intend to make after the MCC 15 stuff I want to do is done, is basically how "It's Always Wilbur" because it honestly is. Lost voice, broken computer, fire alarm, wilbur glitch, etc. and that's just what comes to mind from MCC.

I hope he understands how much we appreciate basically anything he does. Like I know it’s entirely a meme that any crumbs are good crumbs, but I do actually enjoy basically any content he is involved in. Even if he’s joking about our often overzealous fondness with a literal “bird” picture.

I’m right there with you. I was still fairly new to MCC when we got around to Pride, so I didn’t know how much I should’ve been appreciating his presence at the time. Might need to go watch some older vods soon!

This. Agreed. I’m lucky in that I still have several MCM streams that I haven’t seen, but I almost don’t want to watch them because it’s nice knowing I have so much Technocontent still remaining in our times of absence.
@@bluujjaay Lucky you 😭 I’ve already watched all of his streams, even lore. Rewatched all his Minecraft Monday videos. Right now rewatching his 2-3 years old videos for like s 4th time maybe. But it is still fun, which is reallly cool (ಥ ͜ʖಥ) I know that it probably sounds crazy, but I’m just obsessed with the energy and jokes that he makes in his videos. And his streams are very comforting for me. So yeah, I miss him so much too. 🤚

being feared is nice and all but the amount of pressure that comes with it is honestly terrifying. Like watching techno stress out on build mart (i forgot which mcc it was but he was really panicking, it was on time with the patato war) and dream on mcc 14, and I know chat is there to support them although techno's chat is a bunch of asian parents, (they are a bunch of supportive asian parents lmao) when you gain achievements, you'd pressure yourself to achieve more, or at least most people I've met/know. Idk where I'm going with this
Even in the ramble, I get what you mean. Hopefully enough of us livestreaming a literal conversation in prison with one other person for an hour quite happily and other such events in the future will help in communicating that it really is okay if he's not just dominating in something (pvp, potatoes, and otherwise).
I was watching Dream's pov live for MCC 14 and you could really tell how stressed he was about doing well and his performance definitely suffered for that. I hope he enjoys this MCC more!
