Sgt Carpenter is amazing! She wasn’t fazed by any of this. Seriously impressed by her.
In the PSP academy, we swore Carpenter was a robot because she never got tired or sweat during PT
And was non-stop all day, all week. Cals were ruthless
You knew the workout was going to be rough when she was in charge of it. She’s a machine.

Im a firefighter from Australia, so of course I was rooting for the PFD. Sad to see they didnt get a single point. I thought for sure they had the log carry as we need to carry people of all different weight levels out of buildings if they're unconscious.
Great video either way and good job to the PSP for their win.
I was under the same impression. It reminded me of the carries we have to do besides picking up patients, 24s, dragging a down ff WITH all the extra gear BUT. The troopers were amazing.

This honestly surprised me! As a person in the process of joining the Phoenix fire department, I'm ashamed to lose to cops but proud to see PFD represent!
This is a very small sample size lol don’t be ashamed. The average FF is in much better shape than the average cop.
Honestly it shocked me....granted they are older than the troopers. But I expected so much more from them. But they did great and gave it their best

I 110% thought the Firefighters would win. Every fire fighter I've known was super fit, i dont think I've seen many outside of management and admin staff that are out of shape, but I've met plenty of cops were are gym fit at best, out of shape at worst.
Really enjoyed this one, although I would appreciate a brief post interview with the competitors so the ending isn't so abrupt.

i was shocked they didnt do better, i've known plenty of out of shape cops but no out of shape firefighters. Cops spend most of their time in a vehicle when they're working and their job isnt as physically demanding, whereas even many fit people cant climb a ton of stairs in full bunker gear.
these types of videos are always my favorite. also the donut mile is a really funny event, i wanna make my friend do that with me now lol

If I can recommend a video for you! Try Georgia firefighter smoke diver training. It’s one of the hardest trainings you can do as a firefighter

As Combat Marine and Firefighter in a major city it’s a more physically demanding job to be a firefighter than a Cop but to be fare state trooper vs traditional cop is different as well..

I really thought the firefighters would win because their job is more physical. They have to carry heavy equipment. And carry people sometimes. So I just knew they would win. The troopers kicked their butts. Congrats to the winners.

Imo I think the challenges should be based of certain stuff they’ll do in line like faster to put out a fire, or fastest to catch a runner

I'd love to see a medicine ball toss competition. Has to be tossed back and forth at increased distance and/or weight. Highest weight or distance wins. Dropping the ball is a fail. Feet can not move.

As the daughter and sister of firefighters and an aspiring police officer, I genuinely didn’t know who to root for!
I used to work with State Troopers and other officer jurisdiction across 3 different states. From my experience, the Firefighters were Always in much better shape, and attitude towards everyday individuals. But I wish you luck as an aspiring officer.

Most troopers here in pa are in shape. All workout, run, do training. The fire fighters here are pretty frumpy. Most are havac guys by day . They get it done. But not exactly in shape.
You should keep PSP and bring another fire company in on the winning teams territory. That hill at the PSP academy is definitely a competition segment.

You should have people compete or you yourself compete and do the DEA PT test
One big issue I see is THE age of the contestants lol it didn’t make sense…. They should be at most 5yrs apart per contestant

PSP rules, 72 Class. There is a number pool advantage for PSP with a compliment of 4400+.
