Im a firefighter from Australia, so of course I was rooting for the PFD. Sad to see they didnt get a single point. I thought for sure they had the log carry as we need to carry people of all different weight levels out of buildings if they're unconscious. Great video either way and good job to the PSP for their win.
I was under the same impression. It reminded me of the carries we have to do besides picking up patients, 24s, dragging a down ff WITH all the extra gear BUT. The troopers were amazing.
This honestly surprised me! As a person in the process of joining the Phoenix fire department, I'm ashamed to lose to cops but proud to see PFD represent!
I 110% thought the Firefighters would win. Every fire fighter I've known was super fit, i dont think I've seen many outside of management and admin staff that are out of shape, but I've met plenty of cops were are gym fit at best, out of shape at worst.
Shoutout for both Phoenix Fire and PSP! Both showed strengths that are needed in both departments. Adaptability to new circumstances, teamwork to work through problems, endurance and perseverance through difficult activities, and of course the ability to try and enjoy a donut. Stay safe to all first responders out there.
AUSTEN,, YOUR GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR TEACHING VIDEOS ,, AFTER GETTING A KNEE REPLACEMENT I FEEL MY LIFE IS NOT THE SAME ,, AFTER YEARS AGO BEING IN THE MILITARY ARMY MEDIC..62 YR.S OLD I AM IN GOOD SHAPE BUT NEED TO BE POS . LIKE YA!! THANKS,...
i was shocked they didnt do better, i've known plenty of out of shape cops but no out of shape firefighters. Cops spend most of their time in a vehicle when they're working and their job isnt as physically demanding, whereas even many fit people cant climb a ton of stairs in full bunker gear.
Phoenix must’ve sent their main competitors for Battle of the Badges 😂 They put in their best, the cops have a lot more energy cause they sit in their cars all day while we gotta do real work.
Is that Trooper Long I see???!!! Tpr Long… your Dad was a cop with my Dad. And I worked for Colonel Miller for years. (If your see this Tpr Long… I just saw your Dad tonight and it was so great catching up with him!) I’ll always be apart of our PSP family and here for all of you. 💙
I really thought the firefighters would win because their job is more physical. They have to carry heavy equipment. And carry people sometimes. So I just knew they would win. The troopers kicked their butts. Congrats to the winners.
As Combat Marine and Firefighter in a major city it’s a more physically demanding job to be a firefighter than a Cop but to be fare state trooper vs traditional cop is different as well..
Maybe include some events geared more towards both occupations? Like an obstacle course that PD would have to do as well as one firefighters would have to do
I used to work with State Troopers and other officer jurisdiction across 3 different states. From my experience, the Firefighters were Always in much better shape, and attitude towards everyday individuals. But I wish you luck as an aspiring officer.
You should keep PSP and bring another fire company in on the winning teams territory. That hill at the PSP academy is definitely a competition segment.
I'd love to see a medicine ball toss competition. Has to be tossed back and forth at increased distance and/or weight. Highest weight or distance wins. Dropping the ball is a fail. Feet can not move.
Most troopers here in pa are in shape. All workout, run, do training. The fire fighters here are pretty frumpy. Most are havac guys by day . They get it done. But not exactly in shape.
There seems to be a 10 - 15 year age gap here, biologically the FD was at a disadvantage. Would like to see people more close in age/weight with this variance of PD and FD training compete.
In the PSP academy, we swore Carpenter was a robot because she never got tired or sweat during PT
And was non-stop all day, all week. Cals were ruthless
You knew the workout was going to be rough when she was in charge of it. She’s a machine.
6 inches for five minutes
Let me guess.......she's spent the majority of her PSP career in the Bureau of Training and Education?
@@JulezWinnfield I’d say she’s been in for 5 years there
Sgt Carpenter is amazing! She wasn’t fazed by any of this. Seriously impressed by her.
Glad to see Austen still showing love for PSP. I'm a 22 year retired PSP Trooper who enjoyed his PSP Academy training video.
I got "PCP" and "PSP" mixed up and got really confused by your comment at first.
@@arthas640
Looks like you were on PCP.

Love these vids between agencies! Maybe include some body drags, wall climbs, and other resistance obstacle races?
Oh hell no. That donut mile made me want to puke 😂
Try it with beer
This honestly surprised me! As a person in the process of joining the Phoenix fire department, I'm ashamed to lose to cops but proud to see PFD represent!
This is a very small sample size lol don’t be ashamed. The average FF is in much better shape than the average cop.
Honestly it shocked me....granted they are older than the troopers. But I expected so much more from them. But they did great and gave it their best
@@YouReallyDontKnowoh starting with excuses 😂😂

Really enjoyed this one, although I would appreciate a brief post interview with the competitors so the ending isn't so abrupt.
Yep that's exactly what I was thinking too
I just love watching this channel. It makes me want to get in shape.
Wow. Dawn is petite, but mighty. Rock solid on the holds and fast as hell.💪🏼
Where there is smoke there is fire.. and the Troopers SMOKED EM!!!
Trooper Long's introduction was absolutely perfect
Very impressed by the troopers! Nice work!
This hands down been my favorite episode. PA for the Win🫡
Shoutout for both Phoenix Fire and PSP! Both showed strengths that are needed in both departments. I love watching these episodes. Very motivating.
Great video. Respect for those who rise to the challenge

Remind myself not to try and evade a PA state trooper via kayak…
Such an amazing performance from both teams. They have crazy good shape I hope to be in some day.
I was rooting for firefighters. Amazing job by both teams. And by you Austin, videos get better and better each time!
i was shocked they didnt do better, i've known plenty of out of shape cops but no out of shape firefighters. Cops spend most of their time in a vehicle when they're working and their job isnt as physically demanding, whereas even many fit people cant climb a ton of stairs in full bunker gear.
Yay, handsome Austen dropped another video. 🤸🏽♀🤸🏽🤸🏽♂🤸🏽♀🤸🏽
I did not expect these results lol go troopers!
Shocked that there is someone taller than Austen, even with a buzz cut
Phoenix must’ve sent their main competitors for Battle of the Badges 😂
They put in their best, the cops have a lot more energy cause they sit in their cars all day while we gotta do real work.
Great challenges. I'm a Navy Chief and ARFF Firefighter. Over 50. I'd love to join your challenges
Ahahaha the donut dig at the troopers! 😂 they were beasts in here. I was surprised they won every single round
THAT DONUT RUN WAS INTERESTING . VERY GOOD
As a Pennsylvania resident am proud of our troopers. Well done guys!! 👏 🎉
Sgt Carpenter never got tired during PT..
They’re all heroes at the end of the day
Is that Trooper Long I see???!!! Tpr Long… your Dad was a cop with my Dad. And I worked for Colonel Miller for years.
(If your see this Tpr Long… I just saw your Dad tonight and it was so great catching up with him!)
I’ll always be apart of our PSP family and here for all of you. 💙
I can’t wait for the opportunity to compete in one of these videos!!!! (Speak it into existence)
Bro I'd love to be in his videos, but my cardio sucks lol, i'm just a strong massage therapist (I don't think he'll use that as a category🤣🤣)
@@johnsonious2 you never know though! Lol
One big issue I see is THE age of the contestants lol it didn’t make sense…. They should be at most 5yrs apart per contestant
I really thought the firefighters would win because their job is more physical. They have to carry heavy equipment. And carry people sometimes. So I just knew they would win. The troopers kicked their butts. Congrats to the winners.
I like the way you put the log icons on the screen; cute.
Dawn is hard as nails!
Wow, the results really surprised me. I was expecting a tie. Great performance by all
You should do criminals versus cops
As Combat Marine and Firefighter in a major city it’s a more physically demanding job to be a firefighter than a Cop but to be fare state trooper vs traditional cop is different as well..
yea state trooper vs city cop is alot different
You gotta do CHP Academy PT staff vs someone for sure!
With all the PSP content I imagine you live in PA? Or PSP is just very supportive
Jrotc cadet vs real soldiers would be cool to see
I second that
@that_guy_max JROTC is high school. ROTC is college
i love the donut mile austen
these types of videos are always my favorite. also the donut mile is a really funny event, i wanna make my friend do that with me now lol
Maybe include some events geared more towards both occupations? Like an obstacle course that PD would have to do as well as one firefighters would have to do
EXCELLENT WORK PSP
If I can recommend a video for you! Try Georgia firefighter smoke diver training. It’s one of the hardest trainings you can do as a firefighter
Good idea on the donuts. 😅 I'd be happy even if I lost.
As the daughter and sister of firefighters and an aspiring police officer, I genuinely didn’t know who to root for!
I used to work with State Troopers and other officer jurisdiction across 3 different states. From my experience, the Firefighters were Always in much better shape, and attitude towards everyday individuals. But I wish you luck as an aspiring officer.
My dream job is to be a public safety officer they are both 🧑🚒🧑🚒🧑🚒🧑🚒🧑🚒👮♂️👮♂️👮♂️👮♂️👮♂️
I love the doughnut mile lmao
Great video Austin Alexander😊
Imo I think the challenges should be based of certain stuff they’ll do in line like faster to put out a fire, or fastest to catch a runner
An event you could do is a 2 mile ruck, and then 25 burpees, ending with a 30 foot rope climb. We did these for my Army hnit
I watch a lot of strongman comps. The doughnut mile would be a great event for them.
You should do a firefighter fitness course in bunker gear
Looks exhausting
Love these videos. How about some body drags and buddy carry.
Wow those troopers were amazing!
I just accidentally found this show today… it’s 🔥… I want to be on an episode lol
You can apply! It’s in the description
That guy is even taller than you Austen. He must be like 6'5"
hes 6’6!!!😂
You should keep PSP and bring another fire company in on the winning teams territory. That hill at the PSP academy is definitely a competition segment.
surprised that Clint didn’t eat all eight donuts
Great video 👏
I respect sir awesome ❤👍good competition take care everyone God bless you sir 🙏✝️❤️👍
I'd love to see a medicine ball toss competition. Has to be tossed back and forth at increased distance and/or weight. Highest weight or distance wins. Dropping the ball is a fail. Feet can not move.
As a firefighter, I love seeing a woman as a chief.
How you garner relations with PA state police? You went to there last year for a video.
better question, who's got a cool pole to slide down of?
Each department should try to form tasks that the others does!
Most troopers here in pa are in shape. All workout, run, do training. The fire fighters here are pretty frumpy. Most are havac guys by day . They get it done. But not exactly in shape.
This is almost as good as our emergency service cadet PT
Next challenge ems vs nurse
It can be a doctor or anyone in that kind of setting.
Austen bring on Anthony Chaufee MD for a PT challenge!!!
State Troopers! 💙💙
Almost 2 years later and still no CHP video :(.
PSP top of the line
I would like to see PA state troopers vs TX state troopers.
That would be pretty cool battle of the fittest state police dept. maybe north vs south vs East vs west
I'd love to see chris heria in one of your videos
Holy shit penn state police that is impressive for these troopers to be this fit
PSP rules, 72 Class. There is a number pool advantage for PSP with a compliment of 4400+.
77th Class for me.
Well if i ever need dragged out of the building i guess i will request a PD escort
You should have people compete or you yourself compete and do the DEA PT test
Very rare to see someone taller than Austen.😅
If I ever become a firefighter, I’m NOT saving my bully.
why didn't someone tell Reda that her kayak paddle is upside down? or clint??
To be fair the firefighter looked at least 15 years older
I expected the firefighters to get some points, wow.
There seems to be a 10 - 15 year age gap here, biologically the FD was at a disadvantage. Would like to see people more close in age/weight with this variance of PD and FD training compete.
you should grab contestants straight out of the academy’s or currently in them
Next idea... balletrina vs pilates influencer for a flexibility agility test
I am going to the Pennsylvania state police soon anyone got tips for the academy
That is so crazy 😂
Well done police, great effort
Sgt. Carpenter was insane during PT her jumping jacks were unmatched
Am with the firefighters they are fighting till the end due they are old but challenging dudes
Hi Austen! I’m an officer in the US Space Force based in LA and I would love to be in one of your videos
Image all the training from the videos.
i expected a much better showing from the fire fighters !!!!!!
What happened to the plank
