2:37 this statistic is not reliable to make that suggestion as it is does not take into account the accusations that weren’t proven to be false (which is quite hard to prove btw). So there is a right to justify that the ACCUSER is lying.

    "Innocent until proven guilty"
Just because a woman says something doesnt mean its truth, and also doesnt mean she can't have an ulterior motive.
"They defend it as if they are being charged with rape"
Nah we just dont like seeing injustices but i guess youre fine with it as long as only a few good guys go to jail for a couple of years

"Innocent until proven guilty" is why it's "*alleged* victim". If someone does officially report then you could say "complainant".

Also, only 2-10% of rape accusations are proven to be true. That leaves an error of 80-96%! But of course you leave that out.

  • @shypshyna787
    @shypshyna787 3 года назад +1

So, in your logic 2 -10% equals 0%. And its only cases proven in court. So, its not enough to critically judge words of men and women, and women are never lying or being manipulated by someone else, or don't have some sinister motivation.

One implies he’s guilty, the other implies he’s been charged with a crime and will get a chance to defend himself in court. It’s what our system was designed to do.
Btw, your characterization of Kobe makes him sound guilty. Or at least not totally un-guilty. You’re using your words to imply Kobe was guilty despite not being convicted.
But really, the accusation is enough to ruin a man’s life. Minimizing the issue of false accusations doesn’t sit well. It’s women making these false allegations that screw it up for other women. Men have no choice but to hire a lawyer and defend themselves from facing a long prison term. We can’t just throw away due process because it’s difficult.
The slogan, “believe all women” implies that you shouldn’t believe men. And saying “their truth” implies that “the truth” doesn’t matter.

I once watched a lecture given by the prosecutor on the Kobe Bryant case, she walked us through the woman's experience, how it upended her life, and that she ultimately decided not to testify because of the death threats. When Kobe Bryant died that was the first thing I thought of.

I definitely understand what you're saying and definetly agree on the term allegedl victims. I just feel like the same way some women have a had time being heard and trying to prove being raped, a lot of men also suffer even if there is proof it never happened. The statistics maybe low 2% to 10% but I can imagine being accused of something I know I didn't do which is why I prefer to look at each case as it's own entity becuase the last thing you want is injustice for the wrong party. I would hate to be not believed even though I know it happened as much I would hate to be accused of something I didn't do and be punished for it.

I can't believe the complete lack of empathy and understanding in your video! The fact that you're dismissing the experiences of innocent men who have been falsely accused of rape is absolutely disgusting. You throw out a statistic about how only 2% to 10% of false rape accusations are truthful, but do you honestly think that makes it okay to completely invalidate the trauma those innocent men go through? Do you even realize how devastating a false accusation can be? It doesn't just "go away" with a small number on a chart. It destroys lives. It ruins reputations, careers, relationships, and emotional well-being. It's not just some statistic-it's real people suffering.
What you're saying here shows a complete lack of understanding about the complexity and seriousness of these situations. How about showing some basic human empathy and considering that maybe those 2% to 10% of men who are actually innocent deserve more than just being written off or ridiculed for the sake of your argument? The emotional and financial toll of a false accusation is crushing, and you just brush it off like it's nothing. If the tables were turned, I wonder how you'd feel to have your entire life destroyed based on a lie. Your lack of concern for the innocent victims of false accusations is appalling. You should be ashamed.

"How would you prove you were raped" you go to the police station right after, get a testing kit, get checked out medically, and write your statement as accurately and truthfully as possible. Then you see if theres enough evidence for pressing charges, like with the phone stealing. Theres procedures to this, man.
Comparing the complexity of a sexual encounter with the idea of your phone being taken. See the problem is when you simplify things to get your desired outcome explanation, while ignoring the other possibilities
I find it ironic that we as men need to keep being better with our words while women go un-mitigated on their societal word-assaults. Look at our current world, its shut down because of these sorts of sissies that are able to lie so women feel safe and happy inside while the rest of us starve and fend for ourselves, and will never stand up for us, our children, nor our country

There are several weaknesses to your argument:
      1. You're assuming that the victim is capable of being rational after being raped. Rape isn't just a walk in a park - people can get PTSD from sexual assault. I'm not sure most victims would be in the right mindset to procedurally do everything correct. In most testimonies that I have read, after that traumatic experience, most victims' initial reaction is to go home or somewhere safe and try and clean themselves off - eliminating evidence in the process. Not to mention if the victim is inebriated in any way, it would be even harder to behave rationally. They might not even be able to testify if they can't remember details of the incident.
      2. Even if there is evidence, there could be a lot of detriment to a women's or men's reputation as a result of being a victim. We do not live in a perfect society. Victims might be shamed or somehow blamed for the incident. For example, women are judged for the clothing they wear at the incident even though it should not have any relevance toward the perpetrator's criminality. If I wear a "Please murder me T-Shirt" that still doesn't give anyone the right to murder me. If the rape victim is a man, that's even more complicated since most people don't even listen to male victims. The attitude of family, judges, jurors, police officers, society at large, can all make it harder for a victim to be treated fairly and get justice.
      3. The procedure you describe isn't perfect either. Rape kits are often thrown away or lost even before the statue of limitations for them expire - never tested. Not all states even inform the victims of the status of their rape kits. And what happens if you don't have a rape kit? How do you prove that the sex was unconsensual? It becomes your word against mine and that's goddamn hard to prove. There's a lot of holes in the justice system in general - acquiring evidence for rape is honestly one the most difficult ones.
      4. False rape accusations occur at the same rate as false allegations for any other crime. Just because there are false murder charges, does that mean we shouldn't treat allegations of murder seriously? No, that doesn't make any sense. So just because false rape allegations exist, it doesn't mean we should not treat them seriously. I think it's also important to remember that rape can happen to anyone unfortunately: women, men, children, adults, etc.
