What confuses me is that they released the trailer 2 years ago, released the toys recently, and their just giving up when their so far in! I did have a 50/50 for if this game was going to get canceled or not cause of the lack of updates and reports we were getting. Like the cancelation news felt sudden to me for some reason. I didn't really expect them to give up on this game this easily.
Transformers is not in a good state right now, and you were right about how hard it is getting other people to become a fan of it. (I'm starting to feel sick for some reason). Reactivate looks so sick just for it to get canceled literally just by the start of 2025 (Reactivate did not get to see gta6 )
@@Blueffect_22personally if I could afford to I would buy just about all the studio series figures of all my favorite characters solely for how good they LOOK. That being said I've heard some figures (for example Shockwave) are EXTREMELY fragile and that alone turns me off of the SS figures. I also find a bit better prices on marketplace. I agree they're overpriced and shouldn't cost that much but they do look damn good
Tbh, considering how Transformers have these dark ages every once in a while, this is a normal Tuesday for them. Still, with the way Transformers One was treated and the chaos of Reactivate’s development, I understand the feeling. Hopefully, Transformers can rise out of this. 😔
We've been in a dark age for over 10 years. This is so unfortunate. Transformers: One was good, but I still believe it was an awful move for the brand.
I think they held on to the Bayverse a bit too long. The fact that they let Bay make terrible movie after terrible movie turning the franchise into a joke made the mainstream market get fatigued over the Transformers franchise pretty early. We basically got the same treatment as the MCU fatigue 10 years earlier. Bay and Hasbro were already constantly criticized but they just saw the millions of dollars and shrugged, they eventually finally got their wake up call with The Last Knight but it was a bit too late. Transformers were associated with bad CG schlock as much as Sony's villain movies are doing now. If Transformers One came out like 10 years ago it will probably have done so much better even with the garbage marketing.
I grew up the Bayfilms, Animated, Prime, Devastation, and the Cybertron games, I was always used to a dark or serious story when it came to Transformers, that’s where it was peaking, even though Reactivate was definitely gonna be a free to play with probably a butt ton of micro transactions, it still had a dark and serious aesthetic to it, I still would’ve 100% played it and with friends too
@ I honestly feel for them, it sucks what Hasbro has been doing with Transformers as of late, Reactivate would’ve been a great way to introduce many people into Transformers, dark and serious aesthetic, free to play, I have friends who don’t really pay attention to the franchise but still said that since it was free to play, they would’ve given a shot, I had one friend who wasn’t a fan watch One and they loved it, its honestly a real shame, every time Transformers had something really good going for it, Hasbro or someone like Activision or the CEO of Splash Damage would destroy it

I think they should bring back the old style of Transformers such Robots in Disguise 2001, Armada, Energon and Cybertron... This era was the peak befor the Bayverse debut... Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015 signed the decline of the entire saga imo

Honestly not surprised Reactivate got cancelled after 2 years of silence. However I do feel the brand is in dire need of revitalization. TF One and the Skybound comics are honestly the only good things that have come out in the past couple of years, in my opinion of course. The fact that we are going more than a decade without a AAA mainline Transformers game just sucks. At this point I'm just waiting to see what the new Transformers mobile game looks like, as well as for the WFC and FOC re-release on new gen platforms. I really do hope Transformers can find it's footing again soon.

He also showed that he did not treat any of the animators poorly and it was them who decided to make the project harder to finish. He showed where all his money went, he gave regular project updates with details about what was going on, and NOBODY had any issues. What’s even more baffling to me is that fans of the Cybertron games WANTED this game to be cancelled, despite the fact that it is the closest that we’ve gotten to a sequel to Fall Of Cybertron that we’ll probably ever get. It sucks that Splash Damage has worked so hard, and lost lots of members of their team, for a game that will now never release. Reactivate deserves to be remembered though, it had the spark of a great game, and had the potential to outshine even the old Cybertron games. It brought so many people together, like me and you, who would have never met if not for Reactivate. I will remember Reactivate, and I will remember you all.

I think if Trigger got an anime going? We could get something good. Transformers needs another Beast Wars moment to rejuvenate the brand, and I think it can happen. The future may look bleak, but I think the series can get itself back on track. It's been in this position before, and it can come back. We just need to work as a team, and hold these companies accountable to make better products. We can push, and work together.

Yeah it’s been pretty rough for the transformers franchise for the last couple of months, Transformers One flopped at the box office, Hasbro will no longer be financing the Transformers films as they’re not making much money anymore and will mainly be focusing on Digital content, the possibility of Elon Musk buying out Hasbro and the franchise being in an even worse state, that garbage TFP: Galvatron’s revenge fan film that took 10 years to make and now the cancellation of Reactivate. Pretty much with the exception for the toys and the comics it’s been nothing but bad news and disappointments. It’s really making me start to worry about the future for the Transformers franchise, I really don’t want to see the day Hasbro downright announces that the Transformers Franchise will be discontinued and will move onto another franchise with giant robots.
The franchise has always been through dips, honestly not all that new, I doubt Elon will actually buy hasbro, apparently he makes stupid statements like that all the time in order to get a reaction, also he has way too much shit to manage to where he’d start trying to manage a toy company next, also we’re still getting new content the comics are amazing right now, the toyline’s great and two new shows this year

Us as Transformers fans need to be holding Hasbro accountable for all of this. I’m honestly getting tired of hearing the cope of people saying “Oh don’t worry, Reactivate is gonna be amazing, we have new toys next year, it’s gonna be great!”. No it’s not, we ALWAYS get new toys no matter what. Are people not tired of seeing these projects flop/hearing bad news about their favorite franchise? We need to band together and really start giving Hasbro pushback from this because if we tolerate this kind of treatment from Hasbro, it shows they can do whatever they want because we’ll just eat up whatever they give us.

My only hope is that if this game gets picked up again, High Moon Studios would work on it and make it great like both Cybertron games if the original team is still there, and if they aren't, hope they come back.

@BrushedRanger if Matt Tieger is still there, there's still a good chance of the game being good. He led the whole development of both Cybertron games. I hope that if they do pick it up, some of the original members return to make it great like both Cybertron games were. Chances are low, but you never know.

Bumblebee 2018 and reactivate trailer gave me hope but now it’s hard at least we have the comics hopefully we don’t get the power rangers treatment that hasbro has done

I gotta be honest? I gave up hope for Reactivate about a year ago… when we hadn’t seen any news about anything during 2024, I knew that it wasn’t gunna be released. 11:54, and hey man. I share that same disappointment… it has been hard as a TF fan recently… it feels like ever since the previous CEO passed, it kinda went downhill. I just hope that we can all band together to do something about it. Hopefully, with making our voices heard, the CEO Cock-bite sees what’s going on and actually hears us.
I blame Hasbro for screwing up Transformers so badly to the changing of how classes work, to tue marketing for TFOne, to the cancelation of Reactivation as well as the overall quality of the figures themselves. Hasbro refuses to listen to fans and give us what we want at the quality we want and thats the reason most of us left to third party instead. They continue to drop the ball and disappoint

Transformers is in a state where I feel like I have to ask myself and others this question. Is this franchise starting to become dead? The toys that we’re getting are really hyping me up. So are the comic books. I want to believe that Transformers will have a great run just like marvel. But right now it’s all falling apart. Not only are we losing a bunch of content such as video games and movies, We’re also losing a built in stronger fanbase. people who worked hard on those video games are getting laid off, movies will not be funded by a few studios, those fan projects are strongly getting hated on, and the community is becoming obnoxiously toxic. This franchise and its fanbase is starting to decline more rapidly than others. I feel like at this rate it’ll become a forgotten franchise. Maybe Transformers and the community deserves its downfall but there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to lose hope for the future. It’s a balance where you either try to save it from falling it short from grace or let it crumble piece by piece until there’s nothing left…
Interesting perspective. The fandom does seem quite dire if your not into collecting toys. Much of the anniversary and the fan events are for promoting new action figures, though they are leaning heavily on nostalgia for very old parts of the property that newer fans may not be as nostalgic for, which is kind of why half the community is excited for studio series, and the other half wants more legacy. I still feel we dodged a bullet with reactivate since it seems like it was always going to be another predatory live service. Cheers to great content like the Skybound comics, Transformers one, and even to Galactic Trials not being a big game, but a playable one. Transformers Might not be the most commercially successful right now but were here to celebrate it anyway.

I'm trying to find positive things about the cancellation, the fact it was more of an online game focused game rather than single player, taking orders from humans, the autobots and decepticons teaming up rather than what the whole franchise is built on, the two factions fighting. It being in the looter shooter genre. Idk 🤷♂️

New to the franchise here so I'm not sure how much my opinion counts but I think it's fair to be hopeful. Pulling away from triple A, as they pull out of movies is shooting themselves in the foot, and not in the usual blind corporate way. More in the devaluing a billion dollar brand, and iconic pop culture staple, into a C tier toyline way. They're probably aware that'd just leave TF irrelevant, slowly dying out. Unfortunately, Reactivate was an old wound that needed closing, but I think it can be seen as moving on to greener pastures as much as it is a sad thing. Idk, just my thoughts seeing so much negativity around and having seen other franchises go through ups and downs. Also hope you're okay! I'm so sorry you had to deal with that guy's comment, it's a shame people like that can still have large platforms these days.

It's funny to look back at War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron and see how damn, damn good we had it at the time. Actual new story, but callbacks as well, good gameplay, beautiful graphics. Now we have... mobile games, or mobile-like games, and a team/arena shooter only available in a few eastern countries? And weird tie-ins with Fortnite or World of Warships. We have new media like RotB or TF One and yet... they're not hitting "enough." They're GOOD, especially TF One, and the Skybound comics are pretty great too... but Hasbro seems to be treating these all as misses. Or at least "life support." And the figures they're putting out are largely running on nostalgia, revamping older figures or continuing the SS86 line. I don't think Reactivate was going to have WfC/FoC impact because it wasn't all-Cybertron or all-Transformers... you had a human cast in there, and a completely new alien threat, taking place on Earth. But it could have been at least passable, playable, and possibly even enjoyable. They clearly were going with something 'new' ... maybe even to the point where Reactivate/Rise was another game before the TF assets came in.

As someone who just got into Transformers due to TFO. I am actually so sad i wasnt introduced to the shows and comics sooner... I came in way too late. Its sad. I love waiting each month for EU Transformers and Void Rivals. I want to continue getting into transformers though, but... truly wish I could've been introduced sooner.
I want to play this game when I first hear of it being a tf fan of course but after awhile of not hearing anytime I just lost hope the game will come out and when I hear the news of it be cancelled I was a little mad but felt like I know will happen. My question is if Splash Damage was having trouble making the game why didn't they just to another gaming studio? why hold on to just to cancel it? were they trying to prove to Hasbro that they can make it?
The Toys are fantastic and the last 5 years of Figures have been some of the best of all time. The upcoming slate of figures being the Primes look great. Skybound is great aswell! It's been really nice seeing this newer take on the characters. TFOne is the best Movie. It's great and hopefully we see more. So I don't think the franchise is in a bad spot atm.

TF ONE flopping, Hasbro Pulse Asia shutting down, Reactivate being cancelled, Hasbro no longer funding movies, and the GI Joe crossover potentiallly being canned are like the infinity stones being collected and if Peter Cullen one day joins the Allspark, that would be the snap that kills everyone.
Transformers was among my original five interests that I got into when I was just a very young boy back in 2007, the other four being Mario, Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Bionicle. Today, as a young adult man, only Transformers and Mario remain, as I grown to dislike Pokémon and SpongeBob SquarePants (especially the latter), and I am now neutral towards Bionicle. I would hate to see Transformers die, and there were so many things happening, such as the negative stain left by the Michael Bay Pentalogy (They should have stopped at 3 at the latest), the divisiveness caused by EarthSpark with it being political, and the horrendous marketing for Transformers: One (which was a great movie); horrible marketing to the point where the movie got out grossed by even The Wild Robot, despite not many talking about its basis (though, that was a good movie too). I would be unsurprised if Transformers dies, but I would also be very sad as well. Not sure if this is anything new though; Transformers has a long history of having dark ages, ranging from Beast Machines (1999-2000), Energon (2004-2005), The Michael Bay Pentalogy (2007-2017), Adventure (2015-2017), and also Earthspark (2022-present). Though, I can imagine Pokémon being in a worse state, as people have been leaving that, and I am one of those that left it. Back to Transformers, sure, Mario may still remain, and I may have grabbed onto other franchises as well such as South Park, Attack on Titan, Minecraft, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Amphibia, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones, and Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, the last of which is my favorite animated movie and favorite piece of underwater animation, so much so to the point where that movie has replaced SpongeBob SquarePants for me. That all being said, no piece of animated media can beat Transformers for me, none; Optimus Prime has to be one of, if not, the GREATEST character that has ever spawned. I don’t want Transformers to die, please! There have been enough good franchises that have died, as well as too many bad franchises that are still ongoing, such as perhaps SpongeBob SquarePants at this point; THAT should have ended long ago with the movie, but they decided to milk it. I want Transformers to live!!

I'm hoping we can at least still get the toys. It's hard enough getting the two packs figures. Now they're gonna rack up in price. I have 3 out of the 4, and it nearly costs an arm and a leg just for the one I want now.
I wouldn’t say the current state of Transformers is bad, but I wouldn’t call it good either. I’d say it’s more mixed. While Transformers One was a good movie, the same could not be said with the 2nd season of Earthspark (Which I do think is a downgrade from the 1st season)… and while I heard the Skybound comics were good, I know the new mobile Transformers game is just a cash grab. It’s one big mixed bag, that I think it’s gonna take 10 years until Activision rereleased the Transformers games they published.
Was Reactive that Transformers MMO they were talking about announcing? I read very little about it as I am very new in the current state of Transformers. I am a genX kid who grew up with G1 cartoons and the toys. I just recently started really getting into Transformers media lately. I played Devastation many many years ago and had always hoped they would make another one like that. I have always loved Transformers. But I didn't collect them like I do now. I really love great the toys have become since the G1 days. The engineering of these toys fascinate me. I found happiness in these pieces of metal & plastic!

@@BrushedRanger Yeah the Transformers Universe that would allow you to make your own Transformer and pick a side. Depending on what class you went for would depend on the vehicle type you could scan to Transform into. They could really do something special with a Transformer MMO if done correctly. When I watched some of the leaked gameplay when the game was canceled (btw idk how the gameplay was leaked) it gave me a mix of Transformers war for cybertron and Transformers Devestation vibes.
When fanmade stop motion series and comic books are on par or better than official work, you know the management is inept and has no idea what they are doing. This is such a EASY franchise to make banger content for, and yet we keep getting the short sighted, greedy, capitalist-fueled based decision making that is killing this IP. TF One was the one recent project I have loved, but just like Earthspark I am afraid of how they will squander its potential.

The state of Transformers right now is a mixed bag. Transformers One was incredible but was marketed horribly. Skybound comics are great. I was excited for Reactivate since the last good Transformers game was Fall of Cybertron twelve years ago. The toyline is pretty dang good, I'm not going to lie. The engineering has definitely inproved massively. The cost did rise, but I think the quality now makes up for it. The problem with the toyline is how hard it is to get figures. You have to immediately pre-order or just get insanely lucky. Gone are the days of randomly deciding to go to Walmart or Target and getting your hands on a cool figure you wanted. These days, the section for Transformers is few and far between. Years ago, it used to be a huge section. Now... hardly ever anything. Scalpers and supply issues are the biggest bane of the line, and I don't foresee that getting better with low sentiment.

My best advice is don't let this get to you. Remember why you even like this franchise in the first place. In the end, everything will eventually end up okay, and these franchises will always be there. You mentioned star wars, but star wars truly hit rock bottom after return of the jedi. No more mainstream media was released, the toylines died off and future waves were canceled, and the only new star wars content were the terrible droids and ewoks cartoons and the even worse ewok films. It got to a point where the only new media for the franchise were BEND-EMS. Despite that, it eventually came back around, and while the prequels and special editions weren't great, it bred so much great media like shadows of the empire, the clone wars mini series, and the thrawn trilogy. Things will always get worse before they get better, and these franchises will always be great no matter what new content or roadblocks do to them, you just need to remember why you were a fan in the first place.
I'd say the only chance we'd get for a proper game is a fan-made one, but then I remembered that Hasbro has no chill and would shut it down the moment they caught wind of it.

I’m sorry but Transformers is a dying brand due to the over saturation, pitiful storytelling (except for Energon or TFOne), and the abhorrent marketing for this franchise as well as the stain the Bayformers has left on the franchise, the fall of IDW, Earthspark being a massive disappointment and fans just leaving the franchise all contributed to this once great brand falling apart.

I hate Certain Affinity, and I hate 343 Industries. Had 343i not fumbled Halo Infinite, Certain Affinity could have put all their resources on Transformers Reactivate back when it was "Transformers Rise." Instead, they had to go clean Microsoft's mess, and then, the very few CA employees that were working on it were absolute morons and had mostly prioritized the skins and other microtransaction BS rather than actually working on the game, leading to Reactivate's development change to Splash Damage and rebranding the game. Certain Affinity, 343i, and their total incompetence sabotaged Reactivate, and now people lost their jobs. Had Halo Infinite been released in a good state, we would have gotten Rise/Reactivate years ago.

With Hasbro giving up on financing their movies with Paramount, the box office failure of Transformers One due to poor marketing, the cancellation of Reactivate, and a shift in focus towards gaming, a market that's right now at it's lowest, then this definitely spells disaster for Hasbro, as well as the Transformers franchise. What confuses me is that they released the trailer 2 years ago, released the toys recently, and their just giving up when their so far in! I did have a 50/50 for if this game was going to get canceled or not cause of the lack of updates and reports we were getting. Like the cancelation news felt sudden to me for some reason. That being said I've heard some figures (for example Shockwave) are EXTREMELY fragile and that alone turns me off of the SS figures. I also find a bit better prices on marketplace. I agree they're overpriced and shouldn't cost that much but they do look damn good

We've been in a dark age for over 10 years. This is so unfortunate. Transformers: One was good, but I still believe it was an awful move for the brand.
I think they held on to the Bayverse a bit too long. The fact that they let Bay make terrible movie after terrible movie turning the franchise into a joke made the mainstream market get fatigued over the Transformers franchise pretty early. We basically got the same treatment as the MCU fatigue 10 years earlier. Bay and Hasbro were already constantly criticized but they just saw the millions of dollars and shrugged, they eventually finally got their wake up call with The Last Knight but it was a bit too late. Transformers were associated with bad CG schlock as much as Sony's villain movies are doing now. If Transformers One came out like 10 years ago it will probably have done so much better even with the garbage marketing.
With TFOne marketing mess up and now this, us fans really need a real life matrix to light our darkest hour.
I grew up the Bayfilms, Animated, Prime, Devastation, and the Cybertron games, I was always used to a dark or serious story when it came to Transformers, that’s where it was peaking, even though Reactivate was definitely gonna be a free to play with probably a butt ton of micro transactions, it still had a dark and serious aesthetic to it, I still would’ve 100% played it and with friends too

Honestly not surprised Reactivate got cancelled after 2 years of silence. However I do feel the brand is in dire need of revitalization. TF One and the Skybound comics are honestly the only good things that have come out in the past couple of years, in my opinion of course. The fact that we are going more than a decade without a AAA mainline Transformers game just sucks. At this point I'm just waiting to see what the new Transformers mobile game looks like, as well as for the WFC and FOC re-release on new gen platforms. I really do hope Transformers can find it's footing again soon.

He also showed that he did not treat any of the animators poorly and it was them who decided to make the project harder to finish. He showed where all his money went, he gave regular project updates with details about what was going on, and NOBODY had any issues. What’s even more baffling to me is that fans of the Cybertron games WANTED this game to be cancelled, despite the fact that it is the closest that we’ve gotten to a sequel to Fall Of Cybertron that we’ll probably ever get.
It sucks that Splash Damage has worked so hard, and lost lots of members of their team, for a game that will now never release.
Reactivate deserves to be remembered though, it had the spark of a great game, and had the potential to outshine even the old Cybertron games. It brought so many people together, like me and you, who would have never met if not for Reactivate.

I think if Trigger got an anime going? We could get something good. Transformers needs another Beast Wars moment to rejuvenate the brand, and I think it can happen. The future may look bleak, but I think the series can get itself back on track. It's been in this position before, and it can come back. We just need to work as a team, and hold these companies accountable to make better products. We can push, and work together.

Yeah it’s been pretty rough for the transformers franchise for the last couple of months, Transformers One flopped at the box office, Hasbro will no longer be financing the Transformers films as they’re not making much money anymore and will mainly be focusing on Digital content, the possibility of Elon Musk buying out Hasbro and the franchise being in an even worse state, that garbage TFP: Galvatron’s revenge fan film that took 10 years to make and now the cancellation of Reactivate. Pretty much with the exception for the toys and the comics it’s been nothing but bad news and disappointments. It’s really making me start to worry about the future for the Transformers franchise, I really don’t want to see the day Hasbro downright announces that the Transformers Franchise will be discontinued and will move onto another franchise with giant robots.

No it’s not, we ALWAYS get new toys no matter what. Are people not tired of seeing these projects flop/hearing bad news about their favorite franchise? @BrushedRanger if Matt Tieger is still there, there's still a good chance of the game being good. He led the whole development of both Cybertron games. I hope that if they do pick it up, some of the original members return to make it great like both Cybertron games were. Chances are low, but you never know.

I gotta be honest? I gave up hope for Reactivate about a year ago… when we hadn’t seen any news about anything during 2024, I knew that it wasn’t gunna be released. 11:54, and hey man. Transformers is in a state where I feel like I have to ask myself and others this question. Is this franchise starting to become dead? The toys that we’re getting are really hyping me up. So are the comic books. I want to believe that Transformers will have a great run just like marvel. But right now it’s all falling apart. Not only are we losing a bunch of content such as video games and movies, We’re also losing a built in stronger fanbase. people who worked hard on those video games are getting laid off, movies will not be funded by a few studios, those fan projects are strongly getting hated on, and the community is becoming obnoxiously toxic. This franchise and its fanbase is starting to decline more rapidly than others. I feel like at this rate it’ll become a forgotten franchise. Maybe Transformers and the community deserves its downfall but there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to lose hope for the future. Interesting perspective. The fandom does seem quite dire if your not into collecting toys. Much of the anniversary and the fan events are for promoting new action figures, though they are leaning heavily on nostalgia for very old parts of the property that newer fans may not be as nostalgic for, which is kind of why half the community is excited for studio series, and the other half wants more legacy.
I still feel we dodged a bullet with reactivate since it seems like it was always going to be another predatory live service.
Cheers to great content like the Skybound comics, Transformers one, and even to Galactic Trials not being a big game, but a playable one. Transformers Might not be the most commercially successful right now but were here to celebrate it anyway.

I'm trying to find positive things about the cancellation, the fact it was more of an online game focused game rather than single player, taking orders from humans, the autobots and decepticons teaming up rather than what the whole franchise is built on, the two factions fighting. It being in the looter shooter genre.

New to the franchise here so I'm not sure how much my opinion counts but I think it's fair to be hopeful. Pulling away from triple A, as they pull out of movies is shooting themselves in the foot, and not in the usual blind corporate way.
More in the devaluing a billion dollar brand, and iconic pop culture staple, into a C tier toyline way. They're probably aware that'd just leave TF irrelevant, slowly dying out.
Unfortunately, Reactivate was an old wound that needed closing, but I think it can be seen as moving on to greener pastures as much as it is a sad thing. Idk, just my thoughts seeing so much negativity around and having seen other franchises go through ups and downs.

It's funny to look back at War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron and see how damn, damn good we had it at the time. Actual new story, but callbacks as well, good gameplay, beautiful graphics. Now we have... mobile games, or mobile-like games, and a team/arena shooter only available in a few eastern countries? And weird tie-ins with Fortnite or World of Warships. We have new media like RotB or TF One and yet... they're not hitting "enough." They're GOOD, especially TF One, and the Skybound comics are pretty great too... but Hasbro seems to be treating these all as misses. Or at least "life support." And the figures they're putting out are largely running on nostalgia, revamping older figures or continuing the SS86 line.
I don't think Reactivate was going to have WfC/FoC impact because it wasn't all-Cybertron or all-Transformers... you had a human cast in there, and a completely new alien threat, taking place on Earth. But it could have been at least passable, playable, and possibly even enjoyable. They clearly were going with something 'new' ... maybe even to the point where Reactivate/Rise was another game before the TF assets came in.

I want to play this game when I first hear of it being a tf fan of course but after awhile of not hearing anytime I just lost hope the game will come out and when I hear the news of it be cancelled I was a little mad but felt like I know will happen. The Toys are fantastic and the last 5 years of Figures have been some of the best of all time. The upcoming slate of figures being the Primes look great.
Skybound is great aswell! It's been really nice seeing this newer take on the characters.
TFOne is the best Movie. It's great and hopefully we see more.

TF ONE flopping, Hasbro Pulse Asia shutting down, Reactivate being cancelled, Hasbro no longer funding movies, and the GI Joe crossover potentiallly being canned are like the infinity stones being collected and if Peter Cullen one day joins the Allspark, that would be the snap that kills everyone.
Transformers was among my original five interests that I got into when I was just a very young boy back in 2007, the other four being Mario, Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Bionicle.
Today, as a young adult man, only Transformers and Mario remain, as I grown to dislike Pokémon and SpongeBob SquarePants (especially the latter), and I am now neutral towards Bionicle.
I would hate to see Transformers die, and there were so many things happening, such as the negative stain left by the Michael Bay Pentalogy (They should have stopped at 3 at the latest), the divisiveness caused by EarthSpark with it being political, and the horrendous marketing for Transformers: One (which was a great movie); horrible marketing to the point where the movie got out grossed by even The Wild Robot, despite not many talking about its basis (though, that was a good movie too).
I would be unsurprised if Transformers dies, but I would also be very sad as well.
Not sure if this is anything new though; Transformers has a long history of having dark ages, ranging from Beast Machines (1999-2000), Energon (2004-2005), The Michael Bay Pentalogy (2007-2017), Adventure (2015-2017), and also Earthspark (2022-present).
Though, I can imagine Pokémon being in a worse state, as people have been leaving that, and I am one of those that left it.
Back to Transformers, sure, Mario may still remain, and I may have grabbed onto other franchises as well such as South Park, Attack on Titan, Minecraft, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Amphibia, Helluva Boss, Murder Drones, and Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, the last of which is my favorite animated movie and favorite piece of underwater animation, so much so to the point where that movie has replaced SpongeBob SquarePants for me.
That all being said, no piece of animated media can beat Transformers for me, none; Optimus Prime has to be one of, if not, the GREATEST character that has ever spawned.
I don’t want Transformers to die, please! There have been enough good franchises that have died, as well as too many bad franchises that are still ongoing, such as perhaps SpongeBob SquarePants at this point; THAT should have ended long ago with the movie, but they decided to milk it. I want Transformers to live!!

I wouldn’t say the current state of Transformers is bad, but I wouldn’t call it good either. I’d say it’s more mixed. While Transformers One was a good movie, the same could not be said with the 2nd season of Earthspark (Which I do think is a downgrade from the 1st season)… and while I heard the Skybound comics were good, I know the new mobile Transformers game is just a cash grab.
It’s one big mixed bag, that I think it’s gonna take 10 years until Activision rereleased the Transformers games they published.
Was Reactive that Transformers MMO they were talking about announcing? I read very little about it as I am very new in the current state of Transformers. I am a genX kid who grew up with G1 cartoons and the toys. I just recently started really getting into Transformers media lately. I played Devastation many many years ago and had always hoped they would make another one like that. I have always loved Transformers. But I didn't collect them like I do now. I really love great the toys have become since the G1 days. The engineering of these toys fascinate me. I found happiness in these pieces of metal & plastic!

@@BrushedRanger Yeah the Transformers Universe that would allow you to make your own Transformer and pick a side. Depending on what class you went for would depend on the vehicle type you could scan to Transform into.
They could really do something special with a Transformer MMO if done correctly. We will have to wait and see if we hear any more on it. Maybe I keep an eye on this channel to see if you find any more info on that MMO Transformer Universe and make a video about that.

The state of Transformers right now is a mixed bag. Transformers One was incredible but was marketed horribly. Skybound comics are great. I was excited for Reactivate since the last good Transformers game was Fall of Cybertron twelve years ago. The toyline is pretty dang good, I'm not going to lie. The engineering has definitely inproved massively. The cost did rise, but I think the quality now makes up for it. The problem with the toyline is how hard it is to get figures. You have to immediately pre-order or just get insanely lucky. Gone are the days of randomly deciding to go to Walmart or Target and getting your hands on a cool figure you wanted. These days, the section for Transformers is few and far between. Years ago, it used to be a huge section. Now... hardly ever anything. Scalpers and supply issues are the biggest bane of the line, and I don't foresee that getting better with low sentiment.

My best advice is don't let this get to you. Remember why you even like this franchise in the first place. In the end, everything will eventually end up okay, and these franchises will always be there. You mentioned star wars, but star wars truly hit rock bottom after return of the jedi. No more mainstream media was released, the toylines died off and future waves were canceled, and the only new star wars content were the terrible droids and ewoks cartoons and the even worse ewok films. It got to a point where the only new media for the franchise were BEND-EMS. Despite that, it eventually came back around, and while the prequels and special editions weren't great, it bred so much great media like shadows of the empire, the clone wars mini series, and the thrawn trilogy. Things will always get worse before they get better, and these franchises will always be great no matter what new content or roadblocks do to them, you just need to remember why you were a fan in the first place.
I'd say the only chance we'd get for a proper game is a fan-made one, but then I remembered that Hasbro has no chill and would shut it down the moment they caught wind of it.

I hate Certain Affinity, and I hate 343 Industries. Had 343i not fumbled Halo Infinite, Certain Affinity could have put all their resources on Transformers Reactivate back when it was "Transformers Rise." Instead, they had to go clean Microsoft's mess, and then, the very few CA employees that were working on it were absolute morons and had mostly prioritized the skins and other microtransaction BS rather than actually working on the game, leading to Reactivate's development change to Splash Damage and rebranding the game. Certain Affinity, 343i, and their total incompetence sabotaged Reactivate, and now people lost their jobs. Had Halo Infinite been released in a good state, we would have gotten Rise/Reactivate years ago.

I’m concerned that if Hasbro were to abandon toy production entirely, the Transformers franchise could follow a trajectory similar to Angry Birds.
For context, Angry Birds was once a global phenomenon in mobile gaming. However, due to corporate greed and mismanagement, the franchise declined rapidly, fading into obscurity.
With Hasbro giving up on financing their movies with Paramount, the box office failure of Transformers One due to poor marketing, the cancellation of Reactivate, and a shift in focus towards gaming, a market that's right now at it's lowest, then this definitely spells disaster for Hasbro, as well as the Transformers franchise. These missteps, driven by poor decisions and corporate greed, could lead to the Transformers franchise losing its cultural significance and eventually being left forgotten in the public consciousness, just like Angry Birds.
