Naaa, in my experience people like them wouldn’t stay together long. Two mostly selfish people have little chance living together. Someone has to be strong enough to bend from time to time. Every hill isn’t worth dying on in anyone’s opinion I’ve ever known. Some people are just so stubborn AWA selfish, they’ve stopped seeing anyone’s side but their own & have an ‘I will not lose’ mind set. A silly argument they start (place to get fast food), something that’s to help them down the road (put a small amt in savings each month for a rainy day or....pandemic, rather than blowing every dollar made each month), etc., it’s their way or the highway. When the side of the highway starts looking like it might not be so bad, the Bend-or is likely feeling more like a Contortionist. That’s when Reality is at least packing bags to move in & chops are watering for the bite in the rear soon coming.

When someone is "out of your league" that means that they're way more attractive and socio-financially successful.
So, when Rebeccas tells Alice "you are a bit out of his league," she is complimenting Alice. Then Alice responds that she didn't know Sean is so out of her league (the complete opposite of what Rebecca just said).

Yeah the stories on these "Text" channels usually run one of the big 5 categories:
1. Sister/friend steals our hero's husband/fiance only to find he's broke and useless.
2. Sibling/in-law tries to kick "unemployed hermit" hero out of their home only to find that they work from home and are the only one paying the bills.
3. Childhood friend/deluded co-worker thinks our hero is dating them or is going to propose to them and loses it when our hero gets engaged to someone else.
4. Bad Sister/friend abandons children to go see their affair partner, and our hero helps the father get the children back.
5. Bad "friend" tries to intrude on a vacation/fancy meal and expects our hero to foot the bill. Hilarity ensues when they are stranded in a strange place, or stuck at a restaurant without any money.

6. Mother in law tries to break up marriage because wife isn't good enough, but finds out when son comes home he is broke and unemployed, and has no skills or desire to get a job and support his mother.

I guess they live in one of the only six states in the US that allow Alienation of Affection lawsuits. Plus they are hard (and expensive) to prove. Looking through Alice's texts with Rebecca would show she was already looking for a way out of the relationship long before the wedding day so it would be hard to prove damages. Any financial costs incurred for the wedding should be equally shared since she was willing to continue with the wedding plans up to the day-of despite her increasing doubts about the relationship.
