Damn - I loved this video content! In the USA, if we see or hear anything whatsoever about El Salvador, it’s about gangs, government corruption, and poverty. It presents a feeling of a place to completely avoid. Yet here you are, and from what you’ve shown, I’d love to go there now myself! You have presented and shown us a totally different view of El Salvador. The only complaint I have today is not discovering your channel sooner! I could kick myself in the ass for that! We would be glad to have you here Randy, theres a lot of more beautiful places that you can visit, from coffee farms with the best views, amazing camping spots (for some you would need to rely on local people to guide you as they aren’t posted on the web and theres no roads) to delicious street sold typical food, and all year long waving seas perfect for surfing, there is also all types of hotels for all type of liking, from rooms made out of coconut leaves to very luxurious resorts. Oh yeah we also use the same currency :)

I used to travel to El Salador every year during the late 90's until like 5 years ago. And I always saw tourists, backpackers everywhere. The news blow up their stories and report just the negatives aspects to keep viewers tuned in and keep tourists away.
This country is tourist friendly, and professional surfing. but the international pro surfers selfishly are quiet about their secret spots because they wouldn't want their secret spots over crowded, That way they can have the beach all to them selves. Some of these beaches are not even known to most native Salvadorans simply because they think these beaches are private.
Friends and family used to ask me all the time if I wasn't scared of going there every year and I couldn't get anyone to come with because eveyone was too scared and they thought i was crazy for doing so. But I love it, it's cheap and it's beautiful.
So I am thankful for your videos, your persona, for showing the world El Salvador for what it is. Hard working people.

There are hundreds maybe even a few thousand Americans living in El Salvador so what you are saying isn't even true. I personally know around 10 U.S residents living there. Fyi San Salvador has plenty middle class and some wealthy areas and is generally safe. Most people don't go to San Salvador to explore Soyapango or Apopa. Jay even went around Soyapango and had no issues.
