My mom and I go to my Aunt's and play cards with them and my cousins every week. My mom is 88 and my aunt is 93 and it's a standing event each week. Such fun - but also a wonderful time to be involved in each other's lives.
Just found your channel and I will be back. I know no one here in New York near me that does cross stitching or quilting or knitting that I can sit down and stitch and chat with now that I have retires. You have to move to the high country of northwest North Carolina for snow. We lived next to a ski resort and had wonderful snows. The snow is a dry powder. I would just go out with a broom and sweep it away. It is not a real humid area and it is in the sun belt. If it wasn’t windy we didn’t even have to wear a coat unless it is less than 23 degrees outside. After it snows the sun comes out and dries out the roads after being plowed. The winters are shorter than here in the North. In summer you don’t need air conditioning. Maybe in August you might want a fan for a week or two. It is the perfect place to live in my book.
What a wonderful way to spend an hour stitching with friends! Can I just say you made me feel like I was right there with you. You are going to LOVE The Nashville Market! I used to get to go with a friend who had a needlework shop. Great memories… Liz what hoop are you using and do you like it? I usually use a q-snap but sometimes my hand gets tired. Thanks girls for inviting us into your beautiful home. Love your Floss Tubes. ❤️
Thank you both so much for a lovely stitchy time with you both. Deb looks like you will have to kidnap Liz on a regular basis at the moment. You are both such fun to spend time with , it is like just being with you in the same room having a chat.
you beautiful ladies are truly a blessing to watch and learn from. Wishing you lots of happy times together and many more floss tubes for us all! You both have the nicest personalities and voices, love to listen and watch while stitching.
Forgot to tell you Deb how BEAUTIFUL your stitching is and your village! Yours too Liz! So happy that your are best friends & get to enjoy each other!! Love that!! ♥️ And sharing all you do with all of us!
My daughter remembers buying her American Girl doll. We went to Chicago and picked it out. Have a wonderful week ladies! It was a pleasure stitching with you!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE your video's Deb & Liz! I'm just stitching away while listening & watching you both!! Love it all! Liz, you'll love Red Bird Sampler by Brenda Gervais! I just sent for mine! And Deb, I'm working on Little House Needleworks Fall On The Farm! I love the idea of only stitching the ones you like building your village! I'll have to do back & see your past video's. I also started Winter Rose Manor also by Brenda Gervais!! I've noticed a lot of people stitching that as well!! Love Brenda Gervais! We're so blessed to have such amazing designer's!! Thank you for your video's! I really enjoy them all!! Happy Stitching you two!
This was such a lovely relaxing video snd so nice to visit with you both. We used to play canasta and several other card games with our neighbours and friends when my kids were really little. Several of us couples would gather and we would take turns hosting. All the kids would play together then we’d put them to bed and just enjoy cards and snacks all evening. It was so fun and people don’t seem to do that anymore. I really miss it.
Loading the lunch account brought back a memory for me. My middle kiddo ate nothing but soft pretzels and ranch dressing for lunch so that he could save the rest of his money for video games. That was when we started putting money on account!
It was two years ago this week our heat went out. Had to keep the fire going for a full week. Coldest week of the month, of course. We don’t take it for granted anymore. Highs were in the teens that week. Enjoy the grandkids, Liz! We have twin granddaughters in kindergarten. So fun! Big brother is a first grader. They are so fun to have around. They live about 10 minutes from us. Both hubs and I have Covid this week. Glad you are doing well. Enjoyed your video...Lynn in Indiana
I'm slowly making my way through all your videos and I am learning so much, so thank you very much! Funny thing is, I live 5 minutes from Zweigart in a smaller German town. They not only produce but also sell their fabric there and I went a few days ago. You should have seen me standing in front of this loooong wall of fabrics, I was slightly overwhelmed 😄 But I had learned enough from you to choose my fabric and have a chat about stitch count with one of the employees like a pro! 😎😄
@@dawnstackhouse2086 I was very surprised to hear the name mentioned in so many flosstube videos, I didn't know they were known all over the world 😊 It's just the store everyone buys their tablecloth around here 😄
Thank you for your video. Sat and stitched with you, had such a nice visit! You're going to have fun at the Nashville market! It's been frigid here in Chicagoland, going down to -12° tonight. Ugh! Take care Ladies, and happy stitching!
Those lighted head magnifiers are fantastic. And mine came with 5 levels of magnification. I seem to need exact dire t light since my cataract surgery. My hubby laughs but hey I can see. Oh Deb love your subdivisions! LizI am glad you are feeling better, i can hear the rasp-in your voice. I pray no e if you have any residual issues.
It was another great stitching session. 👏👏 Liz, you will have to get a piece of Kansas Troubles fabric for the piece you are stitching. Stay warm. Keep stitching. ❤❤❤❤
I have been watching all your videos, love watching and all your shares. Beautiful work you do. Than you so much for your shares. I want to start a piece that I can put up for the holidays.
I really enjoyed this episode. Also thank you for showing the Potoky mini stand on your channel. I placed my order for the mini stand and a storage box on 2/22/21 and it arrived 1/20/22. Eleven months. A month of that time was spent in US customs. But it was well worth the wait! Great communication with the Potoky company. Beautiful stand and box. Thanks for the enabling. 😁
You two are such a joy to watch. You’re both so lucky to have your friendship with common interests to enjoy it together. Thanks for sharing your time with us
Deb I have been watching your channel for a few months now and you remind me so much of a close friend I worked with for many years she passed away a few months ago from complications from covid, I hear you laugh and see your smile and you remind me so much of her she was so sweet. Its nice to hear your laugh reminds me of her, her name was Tina.also you and Liz are wonderful stitchers and I absolutely love your house.
Great to see you guys again. I love it when you get together and stitch and talk! Liz, it seems like you have lost weight - is everything okay? I certainly hope so. Keep stitching - all your projects are beautiful.🥸🥸🥸🥸
Oooh Deb can you show your Lord's prayer soon? That sounds beautiful! I am so grateful for you lovey ladies. Jesus's love shines through you both. It was a real pleasure meeting you both at the retreat.
I enjoyed stitching with you all today. I'm also working on the Hometown Holidays series, but mostly during lunch breaks at work. I'm doing the Grandma's House design now. I should finish it next week or possibly the next. (Progress is slow when you only have 30-45 minutes/day on it--depending on how long it takes me to eat my soup, salad, or sandwich.) I'm finishing them as individual blocks that can be put out on a mantle, piano top, or table.
Deb, you did a video of your "hall wall" a while back where you commented on each cross stitch piece. Do you happen to remember which video this was? I just remember it being very inspiring and gorgeous as is everything you do!!!
Deb you have a beautiful laugh! Please show us a picture of Hank. Would love to see him! Liz so glad you’re well from Covid! Y’all’s friendship is so endearing!
Ladies, I haven't done cross stitch since the 1990's, but you have motivated me to get back with it. Our house is empty now. I bought the Winter Whimsies pattern (something small and cute!) shown in a previous episiode. I am anxious to get started again.
I belong to a group os stitchers that meet at an activity center. I have often thought as I hear the Canasta group playing how complicated ir sounds. They sure do have a great time.
Canasta really brought back memories. My Mom taught me. She also played Bridge on a regular basis and taught Bridge to others. So whenever we played, which was weekly in the winter (in Minnesota!) she never gave an inch. If I was going to win, I'd have to beat her fair and square. I never beat her, but loved every minute we spent together.
Oh, but that brings back memories. My mom taught us 4 kids to play Canasta, but we had a version called 'Nasty Canasta'. You should see the table of players that forms when we had family get-togethers with extended family. A marathon Canasta game that went non-stop the entire time we were together. Whenever someone wanted to take a break, there was always someone ready to jump in to take their place. It was such fun.
Deb, Liz, are you guys from southern PA? Your accents and lilts are similar to my grandmother’s. She is in Lebanon. But it could be the same even farther south like Lancaster. My friend was watching you while we were discussing our stitching plans on a zoom meeting and I asked her who you guys were and she told me what video to watch and I am watching and figured I would ask.
Your gonna love Nashville market….I’ve gone a few times to help my friend….just seeing the finished stitching in person is awesome plus meeting the designers….enjoy
Glad that you’ll have a little time in Nashville around the show. Look forward hearing about your experience and seeing the new offerings! I added days to national nursing conferences held in Nashville that I was able to attend and really enjoyed the area. Was able to go to the Ryman Auditorium and to The Grand Ol’ Oprey for shows. Toured some historic homes and enjoyed the Downtown and Riverfront areas. Some nice small towns near by, really liked Franklin and exploring the quilt shops in the area! I wasn’t back into cross stitch then. I live on the West Coast so I envy your short flight! Enjoy!
As always, I love the stitching time with you two. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time together. It is so nice to spend time with special friends. You both are awesome.
I'm wondering why I'm still living in Canada!! I should be in Bermuda or Barbados! Lately it's been about -45C or -50F. This has been going on for what seems like forever. I'm permanently cold to the bone. Thank goodness for quilts and fuzzy socks! LOLOL Come on up, Deb!! Right now I'm looking at an 8 ft drift in my front yard. And that's almost normal. You'll get your fill of snow here. Liz you can come too! That is if you like the snow and cold. What a nice relaxing video. I'm stitching right along with you. Deb, I've just recently seen those charts and I love those little town pieces. Liz I'd probably be interested in yours as well, but I don't know what it is YET! Call me when you get a bit more done! LOLOL 40 starts because she's turning 40???? I'd be in real trouble if I did that. I'm 73, for heaven's sake!! Hey!! What's wrong with those Mageyes! I love them, but can't find a replacement battery for the light yet. Well, take care, ladies and Hugs from Canada!!
Good stitching with you ladies! Liz, have you looked into Craftoptics? They are pricey, but they put your prescription in the lens, they are lighted. I've been looking at them for a couple years. I should just bite the bullet and get them. Bonnie Hunter promotes them quite a bit and swears by them. Yes, the Red Bird Sampler is in my stash too. Need to get it stitched, along with everything else! LOL! Take care. See you next time!
Such a nice stitching hour with y'all this morning. It's always fun to see what you've been up to. I'm glad your daughter and girls are settling in nicely now. Market sounds fun and should be wonderful in Nashville.
What a great idea, stitching with your friend! Like that. I stitched with my Mom, all the time in the evening, after the children were in bed. My husband was working at night, so it was perfect. I wish my Mom. She passed nine years ago. Great memories. Thanks girls, keep well 🤗
Thanks for the "canasta memories" I was more of a reader than a card player, but whenever my Grandma or Aunt got together with my Mom the cards always came out and canasta was usually the game being played. They always had a lot of fun playing. I got a little stitching in while watching you two...glad you are better Liz..
So fun to just sit and stitch with you ladies. I don't have any stitching friends close to me. My stitching and sewing friend passed away from cancer a few years ago and I still miss her SO much. Deb, can't imagine no heat it has been really cold here in PA. Liz glad you got some stitching time in and some time to relax to do what you love.
Wonderful to see you both. Happy to hear everyone is healthy again. I'm very jealous right now. While you are both stitching I am ironing, a necessary function so I can sew my bags. Keep stitching and enjoy. Please stay safe
I love seeing your Little House Needleworks Hometown Holiday. I’m doing a village of my hobbies. Coffee shop, needle shop, my house, pet shop bookstore!!! Stitching on 16 count fiddlers Aida - cannot work on linen. Your work is inspiring.
Hello you two! I love that you show live action stitching, the reality of sitting with a buddy to share life, time, and stitch. I think that is what we are missing in the US. We've become a nation of me. Thanks.
Hello Girls Just had a brilliant time with you both. Whilst you were stitching and chatting I was stitching along with you. Take care and keep warm. 👵 x
You ladies are so lucky to have each other to stitch with. Out here on Long Island there are no stitching groups. Sewing stores are scarce. Library groups stopped due to Covid and never resumed.
Enjoyed stitching with you this morning! It was wonderful to sit & stitch. Wow Nashville Market sounds amazing. Thanks for you stitchy time. Have a relaxing weekend! ❤️🧵☃️
You're coming to my neck of the woods…I’ll wave at you from 70 miles south of Nashville! And, I first met Judy Whitman in the Nashville area…many years ago! She taught at a meeting of my EGA chapter. If you have some daytime to do a little touring, you might like to go to the Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's home. I’m always looking for a president's home to visit. It has been years ago that I went to the Hermitage…very nice tour. There is also another nice plantation home close by…Belle Meade. Just a suggestion! Have a fun time in Nashville. I know you will be working hard, too…but, as you said, it will be fun to see and meet people!
So I just discovered your floss tube as I picked up cross stitching again after doing mostly quilting. I’ve watched a couple but couldn’t figure out details of your relationship. I just watched episode one and now I know. Now it’s time to binge watch as I stitch!💕
I have been working on a Christmas Stocking for my granddaughter for ten years. 😜. My parents used to play cards with 2 other couples when I was a kid. When my family was all grown and scattered across the country for school or jobs we would gather at my parents house 3-4 times a year where Scrabble and Train were the games on the table.
I use a scroll frame also. Just wondering…. I use my non-dominant hand on top and other hand underneath. The frame is supported on my arm near the elbow by the hand used underneath. It was a pretty short learning curve. It’s nice listening to your conversation as i stitch alone and feel i and stitching along. One more thing. I don’t pull out the full length on the bottom but instead kind of flip the needle around close to the fabric. It’s fast and not as much wear on floss, maybe I know, unsolicited comment. 😂
Afternoon ladies, It was lovely catching up today and stitching along with you. I have 3 new samplers that are all kitted up and I started Maria Vincenza Laricchia yesterday for my birthday. The other two samplers are Annie Bayliss 1887 and The Rose and The Giant Pear... all from Hands Across The Sea.. Happiness is stitching/ crafting..
It was so wonderful to sit and stitch with you both today! Also loved hearing you mention Stitch N Stuff Liz! Loved Debbie and the gals at Stitch N Stuff! Glad you got some stitching time with Deb! Stitching time is the best! Glad your family is doing better Liz! Glad you heater is fixed Deb!
Thanks for stitching with me this morning. It’s 19 degrees here so I think while you get something to eat I’ll make some Steele cut oatmeal. That should warm me up. 👍🏻
I’m going to do these as individuals and put them on stand up blocks and put a shelf up at the top of the wall and line them up. I have a friend who has a wooden house collection and they are displayed on a shelf.
My mom and I go to my Aunt's and play cards with them and my cousins every week. My mom is 88 and my aunt is 93 and it's a standing event each week. Such fun - but also a wonderful time to be involved in each other's lives.

It was lovely just to sit down for a few minutes with you both. Listening to you talk about different things that are happening in life and stitching.

Hi Liz, question, where did you get your bifocals when you stitch? I wear progressive glass, but I need more! Thanks for your help 🤗
Deb you can always order from current cards on line for calenders.

Good to see you both. Enjoy your stitchy time xo
Wonderful to see you both. Happy to hear everyone is healthy again. I'm very jealous right now. While you are both stitching I am ironing, a necessary function so I can sew my bags. Keep stitching and enjoy. Please stay safe
Yeah Australia.!🥰
I love seeing your Little House Needleworks Hometown Holiday. I’m doing a village of my hobbies. Coffee shop, needle shop, my house, pet shop bookstore!!!
Stitching on 16 count fiddlers Aida - cannot work on linen. Your work is inspiring.
Hello you two! I love that you show live action stitching, the reality of sitting with a buddy to share life, time, and stitch. I think that is what we are missing in the US. We've become a nation of me. Thanks.
Hello Girls
Just had a brilliant time with you both. Whilst you were stitching and chatting I was stitching along with you. Take care and keep warm. 👵 x
Brilliant video well done young ladies. Stay safe and well. 👋🌺👏
You ladies are so lucky to have each other to stitch with. Out here on Long Island there are no stitching groups. Sewing stores are scarce. Library groups stopped due to Covid and never resumed.
I so enjoyed sitting and stitching with you girls. Such a relaxing time. Thank you
Have the snow flakes left to stitch on the school house. The on to the service station.
Love seeing you both! Thanks for sharing your time with us. I really want to see the Lord’s Prayer project. Looking forward to your next video.
You need to come to the Poconos, we have snow & ice as well as the arctic temps,
Found your channel, love, love, love it. Do you find it easier to do half stitches when you stitch over two threads?
Enjoyed stitching with you this morning! It was wonderful to sit & stitch. Wow Nashville Market sounds amazing.
Thanks for you stitchy time. Have a relaxing weekend! ❤️🧵☃️
Hello girls Happy stitching
Thanks for your stitching with us. Really was fun spending time with you.
So I just discovered your floss tube as I picked up cross stitching again after doing mostly quilting. I’ve watched a couple but couldn’t figure out details of your relationship. I just watched episode one and now I know. Now it’s time to binge watch as I stitch!💕
Always love spending time with you girls. Have a wonderful time in Nashville. Who is the floss tuber you mentioned. Emily ? Thank You
Thanks so much for having us by to stitch - my favorite videos. It's so good to see you both so happy and healthy!
Liz, thankful you are well again. You look great since you’ve lost so much weight.
Love you girls! I always smile when I see you have a new video up. Deb love that Little House your doing…..
I felt like I was sitting in the room across from you stitching. Love it.
Thanks for sharing!
Any thoughts of doing another round robin for those of us that missed it the first go around?
Thank you ladies. That was very enjoyable! I got some stitches in and had a few laughs with you! I look forward to your next video! Take care!
It was great stitching with y’all. Now I have to clean house it was fun while it lasted. Have a great week ✂️🧵🪡💕
Hello ladies!! So nice seeing you two together again.
That's cool that you will be at Nashville! I'm looking forward to your report on it. Will you be doing a video from Nashville?
I’m going to do these as individuals and put them on stand up blocks and put a shelf up at the top of the wall and line them up. I have a friend who has a wooden house collection and they are displayed on a shelf.
So very nice to stitch with you. Enjoyed it. Thanks
I’m hoping for a bigger presence at Houston quilt festival this year.
Nice to see you gals again. Missed you two.
