No doubt you'll get back to the accommodation place. I've got comfy spots I go back to after slogging it out in Asia on the push bike. Not sure I'd ride a scooter in Bali even though I did it for a job in Oz once. Your new channel sounds interesting, things like finding good cheap accommodation and off the beaten track sights etc, good luck.
I dont mind what type of video you put out, Ill keep watching them. I've never had the desire to visit Bali but after stumbling across your channel a few months ago, im planning a trip next Easter. Cheers from Adelaide, South Australia
Hi Wayne, please do what makes you happy my friend, If the person making the videos genuinely enjoys making them then that shines through on their videos and people will be attracted to them Good on ya cobber and remember to do the things you want to do

Great vid Wayne. I'm a bit of a foodie so like the market tours and warungs in your vlogs. What about durian? Is that for you? You have to eat it three times before you like it you know! @@fiascodagama1 Oh I was under the impression that was anonymous, however totally "my pleasure". Wow....Wayne you havent made trying the AMAZING tropical fruits dripping from the RAFTERS. I thing I would do and have done before any purchases or entering in bartering. I would go into supermarkets.(..theres a COCO supermart in Ubud ) and on my walks I would take the opp to check out prices for thing and get some aircon refresher. I also notice for bigger items like a Buddha Statue when you choose the best one and return to the particular shop, they are happy you came back to buy from them they give me a better price...they offer 😊 🙏💙🙏
Hey Wayne, look forward to your new channel. I think you will find people are interested in what you do day to day; no need for much editing. Best of luck. Derek.
Original price was one Rp8000, mate, Bule, the price is like the stock market, up or down depending. I wonder what local prices are because our house boy always bought our fruit as he said you are Bule, we buy much less, then I gave him a generous tip after 2 months. Coconut $1 daily.
It's often been said to me by other expat westerners they don't do any of the shopping or buying of things, leaving it to locals they know. Thanks, Silvio.
Wayne Moss the new laid-back, cool hand Luke channel congrats 🎉👏🏻. I got duped the first day I arrived in Mumbai when I bought some bananas 🍌. The guy charged me twice the price and started laughing 🤣 with his friend after I paid him. I only realized that situation the next day when I bought more bananas elsewhere. I learned to ask my hosts about prices after that before going to the markets. I'm s very sociable person so striking up conversations is not a problem for me. Good to know doing these vlogs gets you to connect with more folks. Theresa a guy that looks somewhat similar to you from Canada 🇨🇦doing his thing in India 🇮🇳.. Keep enjoying the ride Wayne.😎👍🏻.
Hey Eddie. it can take a while to get your bearings on cost when you 're in a new place and I think everyone has their turn at paying a little more than they should. Hope you're well.
The price of coffee and sugar is a normal price just like in Java, for fruits it depends on the season and where the fruit comes from, the farther it comes adding transportation cost. When compared to supermarkets, traditional markets is certainly cheaper because no product taxes and lower operational cost..
Good to know the coffee and sugar prices are normal, and I guess prices would fluctuate due to season. That might also answer the question why there seemed to be hardly any rambutans available. Thanks, satria..
@@fiascodagama1I reckon something to consider would be a guide of Ubud on the cheap; food, accommodation, walking routes etc. I would pay for something like that if I visited again. I’ve been twice and both were expensive visits.

@@fiascodagama1 Thank you for your speedy reply Wayne. It’s good to see that Bali isn’t just for drunk youngsters or those following magical health cures, which is how Bali is often portrayed. I like the idea of a channel with some depth and interaction with the locals, showing the calm lifestyle of what a resident would see but also a second channel for the tourists with a show of the odd and interesting attractions around the islands. Night life, destinations, classic attractions. Best wishes mate, Brett.
I’m 69 years old Australian , I swore I would never visit Bali , after the bombings , but my son recently visited and gave a big wrap for Bali , So next month I will go to Bali
I wondered where all the rambutans were as well, Jo. It was weird only having a scraggly few to choose from, from only one or two sellers. If you've acquired the taste for durian you are indeed a fruit lover. :)
They are hard to find in kuta I will have to go to ubud to get my rambutans next time i am there. I love them Use to be able to get them in australia and boy they were expensive as hell.
My understanding is that Astungkara 🙏 (Balinese), kind of means all things good to you. Blessings. Well wishes. Google Translate translates it as Thank you, which is correct, but isn't really the full meaning. Google Translate isn't always correct, or can fully explain the meaning of some Balinese words. Om swastiastu, FYI, is a Balinese greeting, said when you enter a friend's house or place. Again, Google Translate says it means Hello, which it is, but again, it is more than that. Well wishing, happy to see you, blessings to see you. It can't really be translated into one word. I'm surpised that my very old Balinese dictionary of 1,000 basic Balinese words doesn't list a translation for either Hello or Thank you. Strange.
Hey, Jenny. Really appreciate the help with what's being said. I've also noticed that often the translations seem to be simplistic and lacking in full meaning. Cheers.
I think the lady quoting 25,000 for your dragon fruit was maybe quoting per kilo, where as the others where quoting per piece. I kept rewinding your video to make sense out of the different prices. I see that 8,000 is around about au$0.79 so not too expensive. Maybe you should ask someone, not invested in the selling of fruit, like your artist buddy, what he pays for things. No biggy I know, I just find things like this a topic of interest. When my family lived in Kota Kinabalu, my mum was at the local market and they tried to hook her 5 bucks for a cabbage, When she talked to them in Malay and told them that was ridiculous, they got such a shock and asked was she a local, to which she replied that she was. Sorry mem they said and the price went down to lima pulah cen. As you would know thats 50 local cents.
Yeah, I think you're right that I confused "kilo" with "each" - we'll know next time. And yes, asking someone outside the market scene would be a better option. That was a pretty savage price increase they tried to put on your mum. Cheers Rhett.
Why can’t you just post your “new channel” content on this channel? You need 1 channel with max number of subscribers, no need to spread it out over 2. In my opinion
The new channel will be a completely different style of video with a different format, theme and perspective. Combining that content with this channel would just confuse and possibly frustrate viewers, I believe. I do appreciate your input, ronald.
