    Finally! Someone starts to regulate the AI, this is only the 1st step. AI must be be regulated. I know how AI works and how danger this can be for human kind as a whole.

    While this will certainly have a positive impact where individual freedoms are concerned, it doesn't address any of the existential risks that were mentioned a number of times, if it keeps excluding military applications (I guess the act would have gone no where if they tried to include them)

    European Parlament is working against the european IT industry every step of the way. How will EU help us get more software companies and not less? how can we stay competitive against the US and Asia? cookie-banners and ai-information-banners won't achieve anything.

      We can discuses other issues after the EU is a true single market. IT companies can not expand if countries engage in needless protectionism against other EU countries, not share the same structures etc. If there is a very obv issue, that should first be fixed first.
