Tried and true Bakelite test. Put a bit of 409 on a q-tip and rub on the bracelet. If it turns yellow, it's bakelite. Make sure the area is clean because dirt will give a false positive result. Google lists various smell tests for lucite but I don't know how reliable they are.
Did you see all the wallets they have behind the counter too? Since a lot of the Goodwills around the area don’t have big jewelry sections, I’d assume they’re the hub it all gets filtered too.I was definitely chair dancing to the music. 😀
Looks more like a boutique than a Goodwill store. At 21:20, growing up in the 60's used to make lanyards from the same plastic lacing that's in that bracelet. Marilyn will look fabulous in that button necklace!! Did she come to TX with you?
Quickest test for Bakelite.....Rub on pants leg to get it a little warm. Smell, if you can smell ammonia, jackpot! Need to rub hard and fast enough to get a little friction. At home, run under hot water to smell for the ammonia again. Or use Simicrome polish, just a small dab on a q-tip. Rub firmly. Will turn yellowish if it is Bakelite. Staying pink is negative.
Have a good day, I always watching your upload especially to jewelries and accessories love love love,, I'm also a buyer and seller all my stuff I buy in Japan, there's a lot of recycled store but so sad no bundle or jar accessories, only for piece it's so expensive, but sometimes I got a piece for very cheap I sell them for nice price
Holy Moly.. I am a lil ocd at times..lol.. Thrifting makes me crazy i am always arranging stuff.. Its so clean the merchandise looks clean. I live in Washington State and the goodwill here are all musty and stinky.. Yuck.😂 Hope ya had fun.. 🎉
Marvelock refers to the clasp only, not the necklace itself. The necklace itself should be from Marvella since they developed the clasp. Marvella necklaces also used faux pearls so I am pretty sure that necklace is faux pearl
That is such a nice store! So clean and organized. Thanks for sharing CJ. Safe travels Hon! ✌️💕
Thank YOU! ❤️
I liked that Lia Sophia necklace! I loved their jewelry, I was so sad when they went out of business!

Put that Button necklace back. Going to get it Sunday. 🌞
I think there was a yellow one left.
That one with the rose is IROVY
What was the owl purse?
To test bakelite buy semichrome polish put a dab on cu tip and if it turns yellow it's bakelite
Thanks!

Think the pearls are 1950,s Marvella pearls and the marvelock is the clasp. 🇬🇧
Just adding on, Marvella used faux pearls in their jewelry
Looks like a dargons eye
