I think Karl does a great job with these videos.
Nice to See Karl hosting today! there is another Anthrax Island, this one is in the Aral sea in Russia, unlike the one in Scotland this one was run from 36-1992 its Vozrozhdeniye Island. they tested Plague, Anthrax, Q fever, smallpox as well as botulinum toxin and many other fun things. they did open air testing on the island. The US is helping with destroying (as far as I could find its ongoing) the stockpiles on the island but its still not safe to visit.
And it's not an island anymore, thanks to the Russkies destroying the Aral Sea.
I mean technically that would be Anthrax Peninsula nowadays
Death Valley is actually beautiful and there's a lot of cool stuff to see there. It's not dangerous if you don't wander off the established roads. If you want the full experience, though, you can hire guides to take you into the remote, undeveloped parts. The risk is minimal with an experienced guide because they know all the precautions to take. I recommend visiting it, at least the parts you can easily drive to.
I would rather visit bikini bottom
Same place. Just underwater.
Seriously Bikini Atoll was the inspiration for Bikini Bottom.
"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea????....."😂😂😂😂
@@southernoregoncatmom6519SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!
@@joshanderson8938never thought about that much but makes sense. Would make sense as to why they're all sentient Sea creatures a bit wouldn't it 😂 especially those that live over nearby in Rock Bottom 😂 (on my top 10 list of episodes I'd say confidently)
Me too!😮
Love your work karl! Hope you never get replaced🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Fact Boy and Fact Fiend partnership, THAT'S FACTING AMAZING
Another great video! I live just a few miles from Death Valley and the one thing more important than sun screen is water. I can't tell you how many times I have met tourists there who drive into the area with maybe a few bottles of water at best. There are places out there where if your rig breaks down, it could be days or longer, before anyone spots you.
The most dangerous place I have ever been is up in the Baikal mountains. The locals are as friendly as it gets but you are a few hundred miles from anywhere. Needless to say you take your own medical kit and learn how to use it as the air ambulance can take 3 days to get to you if you have a fall.
Been to Death Valley three times and want to go back. It’s exquisitely beautiful and endlessly fascinating. Then there’s the Furnace Creek Resort there. So elegant!
I was in that border city in Mexico in 1984 as a kid. The locals made a huge fuss over my little brother who was blonde.
Lower right hand corner requires Pokémon knowledge but will come off as a shocker at first. Definitely got me. 😅
Karl, Toptenz and they’re writers keep up the good work.
Fun fact: an epic silent movie from the 1920's called "Greed" was actually shot in Death Valley. Also, certain scenes from the Star Wars franchise were shot there as well.
Very cool. Ty
The most dangerous place I ever visited was the tax office. Fortunately I got out with my bank account mostly undamaged.
Back in the late 60s, Juarez was a wonderful place to visit, nowadays I wouldn't go closer than I-10 through El Paso.
If you get trampled by a seal on Skeleton Coast...You done F'd up.
I've been to Death Valley. When we got out of the car, it felt like stepping into an oven. Lots of breathtaking views, but make sure to keep an eye on your fuel gauge so you don't end up stranded!
Wait, I've been camping in Death Valley lots of times. Just carry plenty of water and make sure your tent is well staked against the winds.
Skelly Coast sounds delightful lol
Not limited just to Death Valley, but the number of people who end up stranded in the wilderness because of the GPS telling them there's a shortcut, but it's no longer an accessible road.
And....
Our local state park has at least 1 accident every year, usually occurring on a holiday weekend, involving people falling from the cliffs where there's a sign saying CAUTION. CLIFF AREA. DO NOT CLIMB.
Thanks!
You’re doing great, Karl!
Karl is a good fit for this channel.
I frequented Juarez when I was a young man, working in El Paso. Back in the 80's it was a fun party town.
But now I see places I remember where now people get shot up all the time.
Too bad 😮.
I grew up in oranjemund, at the Namibia southa African border, also the start of the skeleton coast. It beautiful, but as mentioned dangerous. But we got to enjoy it all our lives.
I've vacationed in Death Valley several times. It is beautiful, and the weather in the winter is very pleasant. If you want something riskier, try Grand Stairchase / Escalante National Monument.
Thanks for the tip. Hadn't heard of it and a quick google shows it looks incredible and beautiful 💜
I have a friend who is from Juarez and she said it’s dangerous for them but even more for Americans or other countries
Try Wittenoom Western Australia.
…with Applebees. Best qualifier ever.😂
Thanks.
And here I thought #1 was going to be Australia...
Been to Luxemburg,pretty safe.
Someone tag Liam if Simon not let him go to NK maybe this be holiday list
Lmao
Every time I see someone with tattoos on one arm and not the other, I can't help but think that the person reached over with their dominant hand and tattooed their other arm.
Congratulations Karl and the other people I guess :)
I would love to see the numbers. How many or what percentage of visitors actually die in these places.
Where is whistle? Is he now in the basement?
South side of Chicago (also known as "Chi-raq".
Camped at Death Valley.
How is there a place in Africa that's not as hot or hotter than a place in the US? That's nuts. GREAT JOB KARL! I hope they keep you, but I understand you have an obligation to FF. I look forward to when you're no longer "interim".
Wait wait wait... is there a castle on Anthrax Island?
Yes, I hear its beacon is roughly grail shaped too.
I heard it! You said Skelington! Your shame can now begin.
😂 I was looking through to see if anyone mentions that.
Skellingtons? Like Jack?
Why is there a "personal massager" in the back in front of the anime girl?
Do you mean the Wiglett Pokémon in the bottom right corner?
Pokemon will have all the answers for you 💜
I think I'll stick to my safe destinations.
Yet there are “Thrill Seekers” (see Death Wish, aka do not understand mortality), who will see this as a bucket list‼️
Come on, has it not been a long enough, uninterrupted chain of Rockstar EXCELLENCE⁉️ Enough with “Interim” Host for the Legend that is Karl, with a “K” Smallwood with an extra small wood….. PERMANENT HOST TIME‼️✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
I would say Churchhill Manitoba. Polar bear capital of the world
Didn't visit but the Zone at Pripyat in Ukraine but going there doesn't sound very appealing to me. Still, before the war with russia, excursions into the town and it's surrounding were organized.
I can't imagine anyone telling what was dangerous place they visited. Like Fez. Erhm.
Wot no Australia
"Not everything here is trying to kill you, though."
"But the male seals will protect their pups and may charge at you, possibly killing you with their blurry bodies."
Correction everything will kill you there if you give it the chance lmfao! 😂
Even the cutest animals on the skeleton coast will brutalize you.
Is the “banana toy” in the background for lolz or is there a legit reason?
It's a Pokemon.
I won't be visiting any of these locations anytime soon, thanks 😅
Oii TBF yo not wrong about Edinburgh night club but yo don't need say it!!
Idk 🤷♂️ where he got his totally outdated info on ciudad Juarez, but mostly all what he said is old n outdated. I visit there a lot and lived there for 2 years, never was bothered by anyone. Never was attacked or robbed, never had my car or home burglarized. Only bad thing is the beggars and some fucked up roads n drivers.
How the hell is nothing from Australia on the list?
Nobody has come back to civilization to report it?
@@marycarlson8837 hahaha
Aren't those dominant males called 'beach masters'? 🤔
As far as #10 goes... yeah... this is EXACTY why we need to maintain a wall and integrate people the correct/legal/safe way. Open borders is a ridiculous practice and those in charge within the US government should be held accountable for it.
I would not visit any of those places for a vacation. There is nothing I want to see there.
Enough of the “temporary” host nonsense already!! :)
I think I'll give all 10 a pass
I've gone fishing with Elon Musk's cousins. In the 80s though.
I work almost daily with one of his companies in the Las Vegas area. I meet with his managers who see him periodically but I haven't actually had a chance to meet Elon, myself..
Bikini bottom is the place to go
Stop saying interim!
Could be a hint to the channel, to give him the job permanently
He's got it. lol These are just older recordings.
@@ToptenzNettop10 fantastic news! Love Simon, but there’s an authenticity to Karl - plus, love the shout out to the writers :)
Your vids desperately need timestamps.
Gross tatoo
I'd hate to be a man with the name "Smallwood".
Old english names are fun - Littlebottom and Sidebottom are one's that my friends copped heaps for.
@@bunyipdragon9499 Those are still better than Smallwood...
I would love to see the numbers. How many or what percentage of visitors actually die in these places.
