Love the video Trish!! This is my most hated dance. I just don't seem to get it. It was still difficult to pick up on body positioning with the "counterbalancing". On another note. Would it be possible to see a video about the all the different "twinkles" and from a leaders perspective what their usefulness is or when to use them? I do love to watch foxtrot danced well. It's a beautiful dance! Thanks Trish!!!
Thank you! Glad you like it :) it takes time and lots of practice, but keep at it! I will create a video about twinkles soon - not all of them, bc there are TONS!! :)
We created this video on Twinkles in the Waltz, but it applies to the Foxtrot as well. You will just need to change the rhythm to SQQ instead of 123. ruclips.net/video/0H0jgvU_Djk/видео.html I hope this helps
Doesn't this require "swing and sway"? I never got this pattern to where I felt comfortable with it. It looks like this could tie in with your more recent video about smooth walks. Anyway...another terrific video!
Great question! Yes, it requires swing, but not necessarily sway. It depends on what type of step you are taking. The body is constantly rotating (swinging) to create symmetry and balance. This absolutely ties in with the video on smooth walks! I hope this helps :)
