Mini Cooper Convertible Top Problems

- If ur softtop was working properly & out of nowhere only the sunroof opens but the softop will not open all the way, convertible style, then I have saved ur life, money, & time!
Any other question or would like me to show a better demonstration feel free to comment.
P.S. my first time doing a video on how to. lol
I just used this and it worked! I had gotten my car back from the auto body shop, and the soft top no longer worked. I was going to take it back there, and Andre offered to look at You Tube videos, to see if they could fix it, but I pulled up my big girl pants and looked at this video. Sure enough, when I opened the boot, the shelf had been dislodged, so after I got it back into place, it worked just fine! Easy Peasey! Thank you!
i had this problem yesterday with my mini....watched this ....and this morning put your video into action and ...it worked .....my roof now goes all the way down ...i cannot thank you enough....a very satisfied 47 year old woman from london ..england

OMG! LIFESAVER! Yesterday I made a hard stop to avoid an accident. Then my top wouldn’t work. I reset the pressure plates and it worked! Thank you!
worked as a charm for me! In Mini 2012 it's about the same idea, but the cover slides differently.

Just tried to put my top down for the first time this year. Only sunroof would open. Got home and went to youtube and found your video. Checked the shelf and as you stated it might be it was not properly in place. Set it as you indicated and lo and behold the top works again! Thanks for taking the time to post the video! You've clearly helped a lot of Mini owners!
This was very helpful! My driver’s side lever was not engaged all the way although it looked as if. Never even had to check the fuses because it started working right after that. Thank you kindly!
What a great instructional video. You demonstrated everthing so very clearly with no vague points that left me guessing what I would have to do if I tried this myself. Great tutorial and great camera angles, you obviously have a natural talent for this sort of stuff, love your work.

Thanks Jason! the roof latches were not locking on the mini for the longest time with one side totally out of place. Watching your video and replicating your suggestions proved to get the top in a proper closed and latched position. No more loud wind noises while driving. You're the MAN!
I have a 2010 I bought 2 months ago, and all was fine. Yesterday the top only opened the sunroof and would not open all the way; Found your clip and am going to try it!

Thanks, on collecting the car from the dealer we couldn't put the door down and it finally worked but I didn't know how. Yesterday I was shopping and must have messed up the parcel shelf because the button was blinking on me green and an icon of a luggage was showing. Could put it right. Your video worked like magic. Amazing. We had forgotten we removed the trunk lid to fit a stroller. Replaced lid and top went right down. Thanks for posting!

Man - I've got a 2009 which is different - but basically the same. Top opens ALMOST all the way then flashes GREEN. But it's the same problem - and you saved me $$$$$!!!! Thank you. I was sooo angry!!! Now it's fixed! Thank you thank you!!!!

Thanks Manny, this was happening on my girlfriends car every so often. I think it's when she puts too many bags in the small boot space and it's lifting the parcel shelf. All fixed now, and she's very happy :-)

This was absolutely awesome!! Thank you!! I had used the key fob to remotely open the top partially, and after that it never opened all the way. Once I repositioned the lock handles and made sure the buttons were in it worked like a charm!!!
