I know the next review he does is Shadow the Hedgehog, but I'm most excited for when you get to his review of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). That's a behemoth a review that perfectly sums up everything wrong with that game.
He definitely needs to see Johnny review Freedom Planet and Shantae: Half Genie Hero. Those two, Sash Lilac and Shantae, are my new favorite girl characters. :)

06:18 “Why not ever Super Tails?” Well, I don’t know if you ever played a full play though of Sonic 3 & Kunckles as Tails because Tails CAN turn into Super Tails but only with the Super Emeralds, the Emeralds you collect in the special stages of the second half of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Yeah, while Knuckles and Sonic can turn Super with the Chaos Emeralds, Tails, for some reason, can only turn Super with the Super Emeralds. Yep, even Tails was given the Luigi treatment.
In Sonic Heroes there's more difference between teams' objectives that reviewer haven't addressed at all. -Team Rose score bonuses depends on number of levels it gained; -Team Dark favors from amount of robots destroyed at each stage; -Team Chaotix gains bonus points for lower timer and more rings; -Team Sonic score consists of all perks above, so it's hardest team to "A" rank any stage.
The game that killed Sonic for me was Colors. That freaking trainwreck of a game is the reason we have Sonic Forces. I'm glad at least that most people agree that it was trash. Pretty much the main reason I don't like Sonic 06 because of it's being rushed and ultimately broken is the reason why Sonic Team downgraded to a boost to win gameplay.

Colors was the game that rejuvenated the series over a decade ago after Sonic 06 (and the other Wii games Secret Rings/Black Knight) damn near ended the series after Unleashed was unfairly judged. People actually liked Colors a lot. Now it's one of the most divisive games in the series. It funny how time works. While I do think Colors does influence bad choices for future games I think overall it's alright. If Sonic 06 and Shadow didn't kill your trust in Sonic before then but this game did, then that must of just have been the fundamental dislike for the boost formula in general.
Yeahhh. Another Sonic game that in retrospect, wasn't really as great as we made it out to be. Regardless, I'm still suprised and disappointed it never got a sequel. Team Sonic Racing had an emphasis on "team", so I'm still hopeful they'll explore the notion in the near future again. Next Johnny vid is gonna be real juicy tho. Commence the memes!
I can see Johnny's points, but I absolutely love Heroes. The visuals and the music rocked and I didn't have as much as a problem with the controls as I did with Shadow The Hedgehog or Sonic's daytime stages in Unleashed.
god shadow the hedgehog take it from someone who finds the game a guilty pleasure.Don't try and complete the game. I tried fully by marathoning it it took three days and still I tripped at the one yard line and im not talking about fully completing it. just getting to the last story from a fresh save and knowing what I was doing due to having grown up with the game and being the chosen one of being to able to control shadow properly without much issue most of the time. and it still took 3 days of my time just to get the final stage and final choice of my play through but the final stage of the true hero pathway is one of my most disliked in the in the game its so bland and uninteresting to play and look at. it was the straw that broke the camels back for me and I had beaten every other stage and choice before it at that point
I remember THIS was the first Sonic game I absolutely hated. And it's for the reasons he mentions. Bad controls that Always end up with me doing what I was supposed to do right, but either the characters freak out and screw up or the camera freaks out and screws up, is something I absolutely don't tolerate when it's constant. Just looking at his gameplay reminds me of so may moments that made me frustrated, as well. This game blows.
