I love when airlines paint a plane in old livery! American painted a bunch of planes in the old livery of all the airlines that were merged into American. I've seen several of them and the were wonderful! I wish Delta would do something similar.
I flew to the Grey Cup in Vancouver on the old TCA A319 from Calgary in 2011. Beautiful livery! Glad to see it gets to live on. I wish they’d bring back the old late 70’s livery (the one with black under the cockpit windows) on a 777 or 787.🤞🏼
Very similar to the retro livery painted on an A319 for the airline's 60th anniversary, minus the "60" markings. I once flew from TPA to YYZ on that A319, and several people in the gate lounge before the flight were puzzled. "What is this? I thought we were flying on Air Canada?" and other such questions.
It’s beautiful! When I flew into YVR in December 2020, I parked at a gate next to the old TCA A319 when it was still in service. I was on another A319. Btw, I really like the quality of your videos and was wondering what camera do you use? Thanks Alex!
Air Canada did not include the 1937 start date for the airline or a current date. Maybe A/C is waiting for 2027 when the retro livery will show TCA/AC operating for 90 Years?
⚠️Retro looks beautiful, how about retro service, fresh cooked meals, spacious seat spacing, free luggage, friendly service, nice uniforms like in the good old days⁉️
If that were true then no more would be being built. Bombardier couldn't afford to continue with pretty much anything except the private jet business. Airbus saved this program, Mitsubishi took on the CRJ program and Viking took on the Dash-8 program.
I'm not impressed. If they were to do it right , then the plane should have been painted a lighter grey to replicate the bare metal of the plane. What would have been nicer, if the plane had the upper section of the fuselage painted white which was done later. Even the original Air Canada colours would be nice to see.
My dad flew a TCA from Lisbon to Gander in May 24, 1957. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Wow. Stunning. She is beautiful. Fingers crossed I get to travel on her some day. Great vid, Alex!
new old/retro livery; no need to say : AIR LINES; nice vid; thanks for sharing
That's an awesome livery, it fits perfectly on the A220.
She's a beauty, can't wait to see this one in person. Very nice catch!
Nice to see an Canadian Airline flying a Canadian aircraft in Canadian skies!!! 👍👍👍 thks!
I've been on that plane 3 times, beautiful livery.
What a sick paint job!
Wow, absolutely stunning.
Beautiful bird! 😍😍😍

Probably my favourite A220 now. It's stunning!
WOW that livery is beautiful
I love the livery and colors. Great looking airplane.
Awesome, I have seen the A319 in that livery in and around Calgary before. Cant wait to see the A220
That landing is BUTTER imo
What a beauty! Amazing capture!
Great camera work, Alex! Can’t wait to see this one irl 🇨🇦
Regardless of the aircraft, they always look better with the gear up.
Watched this one from downtown departing for YVR at 17:15 on the 13th. Livery is striking even from a distance.
Agreed. Saw it on the tarmac at YYZ.
Livery confused me lol. Saw an A319 in the retro livery on approach to either 24L or 24R (YYZ) at school during recess.
That retro paint job is wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing it with us... :):):)
I just flew on this beauty a few weeks ago from Edmonton to Montreal. Great footage!
Great video!! Such a nice looking bird!
The TCA Livery looks absolutely stunning on the A220! Nice Catch Alex! You are one of the best plne spotters on youtube and in canada!
What a beauty
Awesome Video Alex I will Enjoy this Video for Sure I hope you'll get too go on this Retro TCA A220 Bird soon.
So beautiful
I was actually able to fly on one of these special Trans Canada Airline a few years ago it was a perfect flight
love the retro throwbacks!!!
Great job capturing this beautiful bird
Beautiful plane and livery, what a combo! Proud to be 🇨🇦
The most impressive is that it probably can carry more people for a longer distance than the L-749s that used to wear this livery originally.
What absolutely awesome livery. Look forward to hopefully seeing it soon in Canada.
Excellent video Alex, thank you for sharing, mate. Liked 👍✈😊
Man it was a nice day

I've always liked the 'dollar bill' livery but man I'd love to fly on that just for that retro vibe

Great catch Alex. One of the first.
She's a stunner.I'd like to see retro CP or Transair as well
CP looked great with the orange and bare aluminum.
Great catch.
How can I track this plane ...fabulous paint job and great footage, Alex
I had a flight on the old A319 in the TCA livery once from YYJ to YYZ on my way to YHZ. Hoping I can do the same on the new A220.
My plane was changed to that trans Canada livery because of engine malfunction. It was cool to fly
This one replaced the A319 TCA livery im guessing
Wow!
Just got the model from AV World Canada

Same livery as the Super Constellation I flew on across the Atlantic in 1958. is the interior copied in a like manner?
I think this scheme would have been a better fit on a MAX as the 737 has a more retro look, but it's awesome on the A220 nonetheless.
I saw an A319 in the retro livery on approach at school during recess, and I was like wtf is that lol. What kinda airline flies a grey A319.
⚠️Retro looks beautiful, how about retro service, fresh cooked meals, spacious seat spacing, free luggage, friendly service, nice uniforms like in the good old days⁉️
Not a big fan of the 220, but that is a beautiful paint job
It would be better if instead of “Airbus A220-300” on the side it said “Bombardier CSeries 300”
If that were true then no more would be being built. Bombardier couldn't afford to continue with pretty much anything except the private jet business. Airbus saved this program, Mitsubishi took on the CRJ program and Viking took on the Dash-8 program.
Our Canadian government should buy one of these beautiful efficient planes to replace the ancient rolling stock our officials now must travel aboard.
Hi Alex it is me I want to meet u irl and do some plane spotting
